"Have I ever mentioned," Woody entered Zack's room with a heavier stomp than usual, "that your brother is really annoying?"

Zack, lying on the bed with his laptop, glanced up at Woody. "I think you may have referred to it in passing here and there."

"Yeah, I can't stand him, dude. I mean, he's so uptight and rigid. He just finished lecturing me on why vegetables are a smarter, and healthier, purchase than chips!"

"No!"

"Yeah!" Woody flopped down perpendicular on the bed connected to Zack's and rested his head onto the older twin's stomach. "I wish he were more like you – less of a control freak, and more free-spirited."

Zack stroked the moppy hair and set his laptop aside. Recently, the two had crossed the skin-ship barrier of their friendship. Especially in private, there was no holds-barred for them. Woody closed his eyes to Zack's soft fingers gliding through the curls.

"Well," Woody could hear the grin in Zack's voice, "this is why I'm the better twin."

"True that."

Moments of silence passed between them. The night was calm as curfew was just around the corner and it was a school night. Woody had homework to do and so did Zack, but neither cared.

"You're amazing," Woody continued, as if the conversation hadn't stopped in his head. "You're cool and funny and charming, sweet when you want to be, but you have a way with words."

"You're making me both cringe and blush, Woodchuck."

"I'm serious!" Woody sat up suddenly and came close to Zack's face. The two stared into the other's eyes for what seemed like eternity. "Even though Cody might be more sensitive and emotional or whatever, you have your own charm. And I like that."

Zack smirked. "And this is why you're my best friend."

Woody leaned down and kissed his cheek. Zack's smirk turned into a grin and he threw his arms around Woody and pulled him in close. The two boys snuggled close to each other, contentedness spilling out around them.

"I love you, Zack," Woody murmured into the blond's neck. He nuzzled his face into the crease, unable to erase the smile that hurt his cheeks.

"I love you, too, Woody," Zack patted his back and kissed his forehead. "Now since my dear younger brother annoyed you, let's say tomorrow we go out and prank him?"

Woody giggled. "I'd love that."
