It was a warm, sunny day in Juuban Park. Usagi Tsukino was jumping as high as she could, becoming more upset each time her feet hit the ground. A sudden gust of wind had caught her kite, and led it into the top of a nearby tree.

"Why I outta..." she mumbled to herself. The kite remained clearly out of reach, despite her best effort. "Easy there, bunhead. You don't wanna hurt yourself" a familiar voice yelled. Usagi's face started to turn bright red as she turned around. There she saw Seiya, a local celebrity. Since transferring to Juuban Academy, he had found a new hobby of teasing the young girl every chance he could.

"I TOLD YOU NOT TO CALL ME THAT," she snapped. "What are you doing here anyway? Shouldn't you be out with your adoooring fans or something?" Usagi rolled her eyes, then turned back towards the tree. She started to jump again. Seiya walked over to the tree and grabbed Usagi by the waist. "Hey! What are you doing?" she asked. Still angry at the earlier comment, she was sure Seiya was up to no good. "Just grab the kite, bunhead" he replied, lifting her as high as he could. Usagi untangled the kite sting from the tree, then it fell to the ground. Seiya lowered her back down. "You know, I could've got it myself" Usagi muttered as she crossed her arms. "I'm sure you would have eventually", Seiya laughed, "But, since I did save you all that time trying, how about you thank me by buying our lunch?"

Just hearing the mention of food made Usagi's stomach growl. She looked down. "I guess I am getting a little hungry..." she said. Usagi pulled out her pocketbook. Empty. The redness returned to her cheeks. She started to speak, but Seiya quickly interrupts. "Alright fine. I'll buy lunch. You still have to come with me though, it's only fair. How bout' it"? Usagi's stomach growled again, this time even louder than before. Seiya took her by the hand. "I think that's a yes" he yelled. Before Usagi can object, Seiya started pulling her towards the bus stop.

"Come on bunhead, we can still catch the next bus if we're fast enough!" Usagi followed along, struggling to keep up. They finally reach the bus stop, just as the bus arrives. Usagi boards first, grabbing the last seat in the middle row. She placed her kite on the floor beneath her feet, and scoots over allowing room for Seiya.

"This is the last time I'm telling you," Usagi grumbled "quit calling me bunhead! Someone will hear you!" Seiya laughed. "What else am I suppose to call you?" he replied. While Usagi struggled to find an answer, the bus slowly came to a stop. The two decide to get off there, and head for a group of restaurants right across the street.

After looking around for a few minutes, they found a place that they could both agree on. As they walk thru the door, s bell chimes. "Welcome!" Someone yells. They throw up a hand as a greeting, then sit down at a booth.

Although the day had started out as an unwanted encounter for Usagi, it seemed to pick up while they were eating. They talked about everything they could think of, not noticing the amount of time that had passed. Suddenly Usagi's expression changed from happy to worried. "Oh no," she said as she looks around frantically. "I think I forgot my kite on the bus! It belongs to Chibiusa, she's gonna kill me! What am I gonna do"?

Usagi started to tear up. "We could go check the bus, but its getting dark," Seiya replied. "They probably stopped running by now." Usagi began to cry. Seiya got up frkm his seat and moved next to Usagi. "Its okay, we can walk back to the bus stop and see what time the next one is. That way we will know if they have already stopped running for the night." He grabbed the check, left some money on the table, and the two headed out.

As they walked towards the bus stop, they saw the last bus of the night drive away. They tried to catch it, but were too late. It was gone. "Now what do we do" Usagi sobbed as the bus disappeared into the distance. Seiya brought Usagi in for a hug. "Everythings gonna be okay, I have an idea".

Usagi was confused. She was so upset about what happened, but she felt something different while in Seiya's arms. Comfort. Although she would never admit it, she felt safe with him. No matter what happened next, she was okay right then. She didn't want that feeling to go away. She laid her head on Seiya's chest and wrapped her arms around him. "Maybe it will be okay" she whispered.

Seiya let go of Usagi with one arm. "Look," he said as he pointed to a store window. "Theres a toy store right down there. I bet we can find a new kite 10 times better for Chibiusa!". Usagi started to smile, but then realized she still didn't have any money. "Seiya I can't afford a new kite". She looks down at the sidewalk. "No worries, I gotchu. Anything to make you happy again" Seiya replied. She blushed as he began walking towards the store.

She quickly caught up and they entered. There in the front isle, they saw it. A beautiful pink kite with bunnies all over it. "This is perfect," Seiya said as he grabbed it off the shelf. "Come on let's get it". Usagi tries to explain that the kite would have to wait. She felt bad enough already for how much kindness she had shown her that day. But Seiya pulled out his wallet and bought it anyway. He handed the bag to Usagi. "You didn't have to do that," she said. "I'm the one who lost the kite, I should be responsible." Seiya smiled. "Don't worry, bunhead. Let's just say you owe me one." He winks. The two walk out of the store.

"Thank you, Seiya, I'm sure Chibiusa will love it. Ill make sure to tell her what happened. Now...how are we suppose to get home? The busses have all stopped and it's to far too walk." Seiya pulled out his phone. "Just a sec" he said. Usagi twiddled her thumbs as he made a few phone calls. Seiya puts his phone back in his pocket. "Our ride will be here shortly" he said. A few minutes later, a limo pulled up. The back window rolled down. Taiki and Yaten waved from inside. "A limo! We get to ride in a real limo?" Usagi yelled as Seiya opened the door. "Is there any better way to travel" he replied as he sat down. Usagi scooted in beside him.

The four talked while riding to the Tsukino residence. When they pulled in, Usagi told the group bye and opened the car door. Seiya gets out too, and walked her to her porch. "I had a really nice time today, we will have to do it again sometime." He says. Usagi blushes. The butterflies in her stomach were out of control. "Why do I feel this way, we are just friends aren't we? What about Mamo" She thought to herself. Seiya stepped in closer. Usagi looked up. His eyes twinkling in the moon light.

"Seiya..." Usagi saids as she placed her hand on the side of his face. She leans in, and kissed his cheek. "Thank you for today. I had a wonderful time. Sorry I yelled at you earlier. Please be careful going home, alright. And tell the others I said bye." She opened the front door and went inside. Her heart pounding out of her chest. Seiya, still on the porch, put his hand on his cheek. His face got red. "Goodnight bunhead," he said to himself as he walked back to the car. "I'll see you in the morning."
