A/N: I can't sleep and I've been writing fast nonsense stuff that help me stay entertained.
It's the same lines we all know, told in other words, brief with a minor twist.
Hoping these times go by faster for everyone.
Happy addek thoughts.
Could have said I love you first.
Scared it might be too soon, she decided she could wait.
And so it became her identity.
And she had never felt more safe.
Never a problematic task.
As if he could read her mind.
She could have said I love you first.
Scared it might be too soon, she decided she could wait,
Although she didn't have to for long.
Derek said he loved her, on a walk.
Chaste as they were.
She said it back.
And it too became her identity.
And she had never felt more safe.
She decided it was worth waiting.
It was worth it those first two days before he said it first.
For the rest of them as what they were.
Until he was so much a part of her that she could picture him all the way back to her first memories.
It made sense.
If she had to wait to meet herself by loving him.
Her first memories, where she had never felt more safe, where those with him.
Him, too, engraving himself as her identity.
He could take turns to anywhere,
Leap,
Fly,
And she was willing to wait if she couldn't go with him.
It was safe.
And anyway, she never had to.
Until she did.
One day he turned onto somewhere distant where she wasn't invited.
She decided she could wait.
And when he was hiding in plain sight,
she didn't feel as safe.
If it wasn't safe,
He didn't show love,
They weren't them.
Still, she was trying hard to wait.
And she never felt less safe.
She couldn't find him anymore,
She then couldn't find herself.
She stopped waiting.
But as if he could read her mind,
he was there in time to see it.
He turned,
Leaped,
Flew.
She wasn't invited again.
She could have turned around,
She decided to wait.
"I'm not saying this to hurt you,
Or because I want to leave you,
Because I don't."
"Am I supposed to wait it out?", she asked after a while.
When he said yes,
She searched for him in his eyes.
She couldn't find him there and so she couldn't find herself.
But he said yes.
All she had to do was wait.
Certain that she wanted to feel safe,
She welcomed waiting.
And so she did.
as if he could read her mind,
he came back.
She found him and therefore found herself.
So much that they had to wait together now,
Forty weeks, more or less.
She embraced that as her new identity.
And she had never felt more safe.
Becoming three and eventually four.
In the end,
Her best decision was to wait.
Her worst mistake was when she didn't.
New life was built upon it.
