Hey, so I found this floating around...

For Jade Eyes and Rose Petals.

Fair warning now, my knowledge of the world of Final Fantasy is basically non-existant. I know it was, and still is, a world wide master-piece.

I do know what happens in FFVII. ('Cause who doesn't.)

The only sources that I own and can draw from are the scenes from the Kingdom Hearts games and the DVD Advent Children. (which is when story is loosely set around.)

This is a crossover between Final Fantasy and Sonic the Hedgehog. (i'm going back to my roots.)

Summary.

She promised them a spiky haired hero.

They got a spiky haired hero...just not the one they were expecting.

Cloud, on his way back to Edge City, is caught in a freak lighting storm. When the light dies down he finds himself a long way from home and the middle of a fierce battle between good and evil.

Captured by the local Resistance he is brought before their Commander, and a bargin is struck: for his freedom and a way home, he must help them stop the tyrant destroying their planet.

Cloud agrees, any chance to redeem himself of past mistakes.

He already let one jade eyed, rose-coloured beauty down, he wasn't going to do it again.

List of players...

Cloud Strife. (and bike Fenrir.)

Commander Amelia Rose the Hedgehog. (my AU of Amy Rose.)

The Resistance (citizens of Mobius Alpha.)

and the bad guy...or girl in this case...

Eggatha 'Omelette' Robotnik. (the fan-made baddie from a misread sprite in Sonic Mania. Props to Twitter user 'BlackBookAlpha' who spotted her first. I'm just burrowing her.)

OK... Now that the flamers have had their fun let's get on with it.

Chapter 1.

Well THAT was a waste of time. Thought the black cladded biker as he tore down the highway towards the city he called home.

The delivery he'd just done was for a part for a power generator, such a small part, but worth it's weight it Gil. Cloud had gotten the call early the other day. He was to pick up the package from a merchant in the slums (which raised red flags at once) and deliver it to a small scale power-plant in one of the cities out in the middle of no-where that was rebuilding after the recent land tremors.

The pick-up went smoothly. It had taken the best part of two days to journey to the other city. The drop off though...

"What the hell is this crap?"

Cloud shrugged, "What you asked for."

The Foreman grunted, "No. I asked for a unit to increase the power flow by 70 percent and you bring me one for 40! What am I gonna do with this?"

Another shrug. "I don't know."

"Well I do! And guess what? I'm not paying you shit!"

Cloud frowned, "Fine." and stormed out. He mounted his bike Fenrir and took off, empty handed and pissed off.

Cloud sighed deeply, willing his bike to move faster. The weather report forecasted rain and he didn't want to get caught up in it, spent hours waiting it out in some run-down building surrounded by scumbags wanting to trick him out of his well-earned money.

Thunder rumbled overhead. The ex- SOLDIER glanced up wth a frown and slowed the bike just a bit. A single rain-drop hit his goggles, followed by another and then another..

"Uh,shit!" He leaned forward and drove the bike towards a cluster of rotting trees that lined the highway. The rain was coming down hard now, puddles forming on the dirt road in a matter of seconds. "C'mon!"

A bolt of lighting struck a tree close to him, sending it up in flames, making him flinch. Another bolt hit the road infront of him making him swerve on the wet surface. Cloud gritting his teeth getting his bike back under control. The hell..?

A massive fork of lighting struck directly in his path, he had no chance of avoiding it. Cloud screwed his eyes shut against the brightness, waiting for the inevitable...

But the light died down as quickly as it had flared and he was able to see again. He brought the bike to a stop and surveyed the road ahead...the clear road, free from burning trees and rain puddles. He looked around him and then up, the sky was clear. No sign of a storm anywhere. He frowned behind his goggles and stared ahead, something wasn't right. He knew the sky-lines of the cities...

"Why is there a gaint egg in the middle of the citadel?" He sniffed and gagged, "And why does it smell so bad?"

Putting the bike into gear he journeyed forward.

Once he got inside the city he found it to be a dead zone. Eveything was in ruin. Everything had been replaced with metal. There were no signs of organic life anywhere...No people, no animals, not even any plant-life.

"What happened here? Where is every-"

"HALT CITIZEN!"

He froze, What now? and slowly turned around. He blinked.

Standing in front of him were two large, bulky robots. They were painted grey and had a red stripe for eyes, that glowed when they spoke. Their heads were rounded and topped off with a nice little spike. They had an arm stretched out, a gun from their wrists pointing straight at him.

Great.

Slowly Cloud got off the bike, raising his hands high in the air. "Just passing through."

"YOU ARE NOT RECGONISED. IDENTIFY."

He snorted, "Like I'm gonna tell you shit." One of his hands curled around a familiar and welcoming shape on his back, he gripped it tightly.

"IDENTIFY."

"Identify this!" Gripping the handle of his weapon of choice: The Broadsword, he charged forward. Ducking under the barrage of laser fire, he swung round catching one robot in the middle and slicing it in half. The second robot, now with both arms, unleashed more lasers towards the fighter. Cloud leaped up, with a shout he brought the Broadsword down. He landed in front of the robot, it wobbled for a second before spliting in two in a shower of sparks. Cloud replaced the sword and knelt by the pile of broken metal. He picked up one of the heads and examined it closely. "What are you?"

The head bleeped loudly, a small light among the wires flickered quickly. Cloud paled.

"Uh-oh..."

The blast caught him off-guard, sending him flying into the building behind him. Cloud crashed through the window, smacking his head against another wall and slumping to the floor.

From the shadows two figures approached the fight scene. They were a couple of gorillas. Both dressed in camo-pants, boots and vests. One walked into the hole in the wall while the other inspected the new-comers bike. The one by the bike looked up when his brother reappeared with the sleeping fighter draped over his shoulder.

"What you think, Greg?" He gestured to the bike.

Greg titled his head slightly. "I think...we take it back to base, looks high-tech. Might be useful for parts." He shifted his shoulder, Cloud mumbled in his sleep. "Take this one too. You OK with the cargo, Grog?"

Grog nodded, already wheeling the bike towards the waiting truck.

Greg followed shortly after. He felt Cloud move, shifted his hold again and patted the backs of his legs playfully. "Don't worry, cutie." He grinned at his brother, "The Commander's gonna love you."

The gorilla brothers laughed as they took the back roads back to base.

Uh...Continue?
