This is my first work of fiction I have ever written and published. Here goes nothing...

P.S. Wow, you're already writing a P.S.? Ha. I'm weird, okay? Anyways... just gonna say, there's a long A/N at the end of this chapter, so uh... yeah. Brace yourself.

"What the...?"

The last thing he'd remembered was dying. He was dead and he knew it for certain, because he'd willingly used a life force vanquishing, all-out attack, as a last-ditch attempt to finally destroy that wretched Majin Buu. He had suicided.

So why the hell wasn't he in hell? What the hell?

He'd suddenly woken up on the ground, body intact, finding himself in an unknown environment. This had, of course, startled him very much. This was nothing like the Otherworld that he'd visited in the past, not at all. He sat up to get a better look. He noticed his clothes were seemingly restored. White boots, black pants, his black tank top, and white gloves. Just as it had been before facing Buu.

He was surrounded by trees, so tall that he couldn't see a clear pathway out of wherever he was. At least he was in a forest rather than in a crowded area. No doubt people would be questioning why a random stranger - wait. If he was alone, then who knew if there would be any sign of life or civilization around? Even then, as he thought about his situation, there was no guarantee that he would survive here. It all crashed into his face with the finesse of a speeding truck, making him punch the tree right next to himself in frustration. He had so many questions, all flooding into his head like a torrent, overflowing and making his head hurt.

What brought him here in the first place?

Was he dead or not?

Where was he?

How would he survive?

Was there anything sentient to communicate with?

Did he even need to try survive?

Was he alone or not?

More and more questions started building up in his head, and before he felt like exploding, he came to a conclusion. There was only one way to find anything out.

If he wanted anything, he would have to explore this mysterious place. Alright then. He drew his arm back from the tree, then immediately froze.

"...Dammit. Shit. Shit."

The Prince of All Saiyans stared down at his fist. Pain. For the first time in a long time, he had received pain outside of training and fighting opponents. He had been damaged, his fist at least, from a tree. A mere goddamn tree. What the hell? This brought up another question in his mind.

Could he still use ki?

He reached out with his senses and was relieved when he could sense energy radiating from living organisms. In fact, he had been doing so all along. At this point, it was no surprise that using ki was so natural to him that he could feel no exertion at all from sensing things. He hadn't even noticed. He let out a small breath he hadn't realized he'd held. He could feel everything in his vicinity, from the small crickets to the birds, both roaming and flying around. He noticed something strange though, unable to see or sense any animals. He was in a forest, supposedly, so why was there such a huge lack of wildlife? Feeling nothing unusual around, he knew what he had to do next.

He decided to fly up to the forest canopy, and hopefully find something that would give him any leads towards anything. Flying was still effortless, just as natural as breathing. A push of ki later and he was off the ground. He was glad flying was still instinctual to him. Although, he was still perplexed as to how he wasn't dead and in a strange place like this, but that wasn't his concern. He'd decided earlier that answers weren't going to be attained by sitting and thinking. Exploring was his main priority now.

Flaring his ki, he felt the warm comfort of a white aura surround him, but something was off. The more he felt that something was off, the more he noticed that it was actually a concern. His ki reserves were much lower than usual and his flying was drastically slowed as a result. That was probably also why he'd been injured earlier from punching the tree too hard. He could still feel the bruise, but he knew it was healing steadily. Being a part of the Saiyan race had its perks, after all.

Saiyan...

Thinking of the name his race brought even more unanswered questions to mind, and he decided to try to answer a particular one. He reached inside, feeling his power rise. Ah, yes. The power of the legendary Super Saiyan transformation. He smirked. Not only did he have that, he now had newfound experience using the ascended state, courtesy of Babid-

No... His aura had remained white! Why was this happening to him!? He was supposed to have access to Super Saiyan, which in turn should have given him enhanced traits and more access to his ki... Pah!

"Fine then!" He didn't know whatever force of the universe had decided to randomly cut off his powers. But what he did know was that he could forcefully regain what he had lost. He knew it would take some time and he was absolutely no less pissed, but he reminded himself that he had no clue why anything was happening to him. He would explore this place and he would find out everything about whatever the hell was going on, if it was the last thing he'd do...

That was when he first detected a large mass of ki coming his way.

Hey guys. I know not a lot of people are gonna be here reading this. Anyways, I'm gonna try to keep this brief. So basically, this is my first story. Ever. Anywhere. I'm very nervous. Right now, I'm not sure if people are gonna like this idea or want another chapter. If you could, please leave me a review of what you thought of this.

If, and I mean if, I am requested to continue this story, then I want to say in advance that I don't have anything planned out. Nothing in advance right now. This was just an idea I had and I randomly decided to come out with it. I'm currently winging it and everything you read came straight from my head and onto the screen. Updates will be slow because I suck at coming up with good material, and I do NOT have a good grip on both franchises' story lines. That means I'm going to have to use up a lot of time researching and understanding both of them in order to even be able to allow my brain to think up of things to continue the story with. And even then, my life is a priority. FanFiction is just a hobby at best.

That being said though, if I do continue on with this story, I will not stop until it is finished, no matter how long it will take. I will also constantly update my profile, so if you wanna check my progress out, then you can go there instead of looking at update dates.

Question. If you review, please answer this. Do you want chapters to be longer? Logically, this will increase the time when I produce chapters, but there is always a very good chance I will have idea breakthroughs when sitting down to write a chapter, effectively speeding up one chapter completion. That will also mean that I have to plan some events in advance though. Again, as I said earlier, I don't have a good grip on both franchises, although DBZ is much easier to understand than AOT. AOT is a HUGE mess to understand, and that will likely eat up a fair amount of time getting in my way. Remember, I can't give the story or plot any flow if I understand nothing at all about what has happened or will happen in both respective universes, especially AOT. Because this is where the whole thing is taking place, duh.

Any help would be appreciated in assisting me with understanding events and timelines in the AOT world. I've already looked at the fandom/wiki and hoo boy that thing is vague.

Something important is to tell me what you want. The very beginning of the story will be shaped by you, my viewers, if you would even decide to want to see more. Once I am able to get a grasp on the AOT world/universe, then I will take your comments and suggestions more strongly into account.

Again, just tell me what you think. Thank you for your time and understanding, and I hope I can deliver what you want. If not, then it has been a great pleasure (hopefully) entertaining you with a few paragraphs.

Any future author's notes will be shorter if this story manages to go on.

Again, thank you and have a great day. Don't forget to check out my profile for updates if you're curious.
