Jessica's New Life

By Abby14526

Hello everyone, I'm Abby. This is my first time writing a fanfiction, so forgive me if it's bad. This chapter is really short, but another one is coming out soon. Anyway, I recently re watched The Lion King and The Lion King 2 to refresh my memory on how their world works and what the characters are like. Also, I would like to say that the only characters I own are Abby (16 years old), Nick (8 years old) and their mother. The rest of them are Disney's. I am not associated with Disney at all. I'm just a fan of their movies. This story is in Jessica's POV. Anyway, let's begin!

Chapter 1

It was a beautiful day in New York City. My little brother, Nick, and I were watching TV on the couch. We have a Smart TV, so it has Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, YouTube, and other things you would find on a computer or smartphone. Nick was on Disney+ watching The Lion King with me (the 1994 version, not the remake).

I was hungry, so I decided to make lunch. I went into the kitchen to start cooking and I heard the door open. It was our mother.

"Morning," she greeted.

"Morning. I'm making dinner. We're also watching The Lion King."

"Oh. Well, let's all eat and finish the movie, I guess."

That's exactly what we did. After I was done making food, we all sat on the couch and watched it. After the movie, Nick started talking about how evil Scar was and how much he wanted to save Mufasa.

"Do you guys want to watch the sequel?" my mother asked.

"Wait, there's a sequel? Heck yeah, let's watch it!" I said.

"Alright, well I'm going to do the dishes and I'll join you. After this movie, it's bedtime. Am I clear?"

"Yes mom," Nick and I answered.

My mom collected our dishes and walked off.

After the second movie, Nick started talking about evil characters again, this time he was talking about Zira. I just got my pajamas on and went to bed.

The next morning, I heard strange noises coming from outside. I got off the bed and walked over to Nick's room.

"Nick, Nick, NICK!"

"Huh? What do you want?"

"There's something outside!"

He ignored me and fell back asleep. So, I thought I should pull him out of bed and make him follow me.

Both of us opened the front door and the strange noises got louder. We saw what appeared to be a portal of some kind.

Nick started to wander in the direction of the portal. I yelled at him to stop and to come back but he ignored me. Eventually, he walked into the portal.

Well, I guess I better follow him.
