Synopsis: Ryan Westhearth was a normal wolf, living a life with no parents, as he had to live with the memory of their deaths. He moves to Cherryton Academy to seek a new purpose in his life and he meets fellow classmates Legoshi and Rouis and befriends them as he continues his path to forget the painful memories. But one of the students, a kitsune vixen, lurks in the school, manipulating predators into killing innocent herbivore students like Tem the Alpaca. Ryan is tasked to protect his friends and not let the vixen wreak havoc and kill more students.
Based on two RPs in Discord we did.
Chapter 1 : Red Moon (Author's POV) _
Night Time… It was a very dark night in the hallways of Cherryton Academy and an Alpaca student was running away from something and he went down the stairs. He was being chased by an unknown predator. He kept running. His wolf friend ran with him. "KEEP GOING, TEM! DON'T STOP!!" yelled the wolf and the two hid in a classroom. "Oh god…" Tem said as he held the wolf's hand. "Hey! What's wrong with you?! We're classmates, man!" said the wolf. Suddenly, the two fell down the stairs as the predator barged the door open. They get up and Tem steps behind the wolf for protection. "Tem...?" Said The Wolf. "Ryan… how are we going to get out of this mess?!" he said, scared. "I don't know, Tem…" he said as the predator closed the doors and growled and the projector came on. The predator bared his teeth at Ryan and Tem. Suddenly, the predator tried to attack them, but Ryan and Tem get out of the way, but the predator knew they were trying to escape, so he blocked them off. "Shit!" exclaimed Ryan angrily and Tem held his arm and Ryan clenched his fists. "STAY BACK, YOU VILE PREDATOR! YOU'RE JUST GONNA EAT US?!" he screamed as the predator attacked Ryan.
Ryan defended himself as the predator slashed his chest and bit his arm, leaving hollow holes in his arms. But Ryan wasn't done fighting back, and he bit the predator's neck hard enough to snap a vital point, but he MISSED the vital point. The predator screamed in pain and he beat the shit out of Ryan. Once he got done with Ryan, Tem was the only one left. The predator kicked Ryan and knocked him out. Tem was scared for his life. "RYAN!!!!!" Tem said as he tried running towards him but the predator grabbed him and pinned him to the wall. "No, please… NO! ARE YOU CARNIVORES JUST GONNA KILL US HERBIVORES AND KILL ONE OF YOUR OWN?!" Tem screamed as the predator attacked the poor defenseless Alpaca.
Tomorrow morning… It was morning time at Cherryton Academy and all the students have received the most terrible news. Tem the Alpaca of the Drama Club was murdered and Ryan Westhearth of the Art Department was very close to joining Tem as of now and he is now put on life support in the hospital. Every herbivore was scared, seeing that the predator killed Tem and came super close to killing one of their own. Tem's crush, Els, was the very first one to hear of it, and she was devastated. "My God..Why…" she cried. "Why did this have to happen… Tem was innocent… He couldn't have done something to anger the predator…" said one of her friends. "And Ryan...even though he's a predator...he risks his life for Tem..." said another one. "I know… What's scary about that is that he is on life support and he's close to joining Tem at any minute…" said Els, tearing up. "Let's ask all the students to pray for Ryan to survive through Life Support," said another one and they nodded.
They asked everyone in the entire school, even the drama club to pray for Ryan and they did so for him, as he's the most respected carnivore out of everyone.
At the hospital, the doctors were looking over Ryan, who was still on life support. "Alright, it seems that he needs surgery so he may live, ready everyone?" said the main doctor. They all nodded and they immediately got everything they needed. "Let's get to work, everyone. May God help us," he said and they got to work on him. After hours and hours of surgery later, they see that the surgery was a success. "Yes… We did it…" said the doctor with a great sigh of relief. 56 minutes later, Ryan woke up. "Welcome back to the living, Ryan," they said.
Back at the school, the bengal tiger, Bill, came in with some exciting news. "GUYS!! I HAVE GOOD NEWS ABOUT RYAN!!" he exclaimed and the students were shocked. "HE'S GOING TO LIVE!!" he yelled. Everyone cheered. "We can expect to see him in 2 weeks!" he said, bringing about relief in everyone.
2 weeks later, Ryan was discharged from the hospital. He put on his school outfit with a black and white jacket and he left for the academy. Everyone was at the front as they were holding their own signs to support Ryan. As he made it to the school, everyone saw him and cheered, which made him smile. "Hey, guys…" he said. The students all hugged him, knowing that he'll be ok and feeling better.
They went inside the school and led him to the man-made monastery of Tem with his picture of him, Ryan, Els, the gray wolf/Komodo Dragon hybrid Legoshi, Bill and the red tailed deer, Rouis. Ryan had purchased flowers as he was coming back and he put the flowers there and Tem's favorite necklace by the picture. He then kneeled down, bowed his head and closed his eyes for a prayer. Everyone did the same. "Dear Almighty God, I'm praying for your answer," he began, "I beg for your forgiveness as I apologize for not saving Tem, our dear friend. We all pray for his blessings on us all. Let him know that we all wish him farewell and we want him in our hearts forever." Everyone had said their own prayers and concluded as they said, "Thank you, our Dear Almighty God for blessing us today as we move on with Tem's spirit in our hearts. Amen." They all rise up and they go to where their classes are, but Ryan stayed put. "...God Why…" he said. He teared up greatly as he bowed his head again.
Later on, during school, Ryan was in the drama club as they were rehearsing their play. Ryan had to take over Tem's lead role as Tem arranged it with the advisor. "Please… If I die, I want Ryan to take over my lead role. I'm certain I'm gonna be hunted soon, so I just wanted to tell you this." Ryan sighed. The advisor came in the room "Ok everyone, you guys know that the play is tomorrow," he started to say, but sees that half the carnivores lined up against each other. And the herbivore students were shocked. "Uh oh…" said the Advisor. "Predators are the lowest of the low if Ryan had died in life support," said one of them. "Why the hell are you looking at us?! We're not the ones to blame for his injuries!" said Bill. Ryan was hearing this and this was pissing him off, but then, the argument turned over to Tem when the herbivore students turned on BOTH of them. "But you predators ARE the ones who killed our friend!" said the female zebra. "Oh, so THAT'S how it is?!" said one of them angrily. "GOD, STOP IT!" said the advisor, but they kept going. They kept arguing and Ryan had enough of it. "ALL OF YOU, SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!!!!!!" Then suddenly, Rouis came in. "Ok, what the hell is going on here?!" he shouted angrily. Everyone was silent for a bit, until one of the herbivore's broke the silence. "We were just arguing about what happened to Ryan," said the female zebra. Rouis looked at Ryan, who was pretty pissed off that people were arguing over who killed Tem and put Ryan in the hospital. "All of you need to stop right now, because look at Ryan. LOOK AT HIM. He does NOT need to be reminded of it at all, especially since this incident happened two weeks ago and everybody's still talking about it. Besides, our play is tomorrow and ALL OF US are standing here ARGUING and not REHEARSING!" he exclaimed. "Thanks Rouis," said Ryan. Rouis nodded and clapped his hands. "Rehearsal time! Get to it!" he said. They rehearsed their roles for a few minutes. And Rouis saw that they were ready. "Perfect. May Tem give us blessings," Rouis said and everyone nodded. Later on, class went on as usual. At night, Ryan visited the monastery again and he heard the Almighty God's voice. "Ryan Westhearth of the Warrior Clan, I have heard your prayer," he said and suddenly, a white light shined. "Whoa..what the??" He was in awe and shock. Suddenly, the light took the form of an Alpaca and Ryan realized what was happening. He was speechless. "Tem...is that you??" He tried to say. It actually was Tem and he shows himself. "Yes, Ryan, my dear wolf friend. It is me," he said and hugged Ryan, who felt warm when Tem hugged him. "God..I missed you so much," said Ryan. Tem nodded, tearing up. "And I'm glad you are still alive," he said, still hugging him. Tem was so relieved that Ryan was alive and well, because little did he know, he would have an adventure ahead of him. "I'm going to be a guide for everyone in the school from now on," said Tem. Ryan was so glad and so proud of Tem for still staying strong, even in the face of death.
Tomorrow morning, everyone felt a warm sensation as they got up and got ready for school. Ryan knew that the presence was Tem watching over them. And everyone wanted to know from Ryan. "Let's just say Tem heard our prayers yesterday," Ryan said with a wink. Everyone was in relief and shock as they heard the news. "I knew it...thank you for telling us," said a Peacock. Ryan nodded and Tem appeared. "Hey everyone," he said. Everyone was both shocked and overjoyed that Tem was still with them even after his death. "I just want to let you know that god heard your prayers and he decided to have me as a spirit guide when you are going in a bad place," he explained. Everyone nodded. "No matter whether he is deceased OR here with us, he'll always help us," Ryan said and everyone cheered. "Now let's go through this school year with some teamwork, and my spirit guidance has begun," said Tem. Suddenly his spirit went inside everyone. And they all felt blessed. "Whoa..ok let's go to our classrooms," said Ryan.
And go to them they did, and the Drama Club were having their last rehearsal before the play and Ryan's band playing a song for Tem called "Our Dear Old Friend" on that night. "Alright Let's do this," said Rouis. "Everyone knows ALL their lines, correct?" He asked everyone and they all nodded. "Good. It is essential you practice them at your dorms just in case you forget," he said and the rehearsal began. Ryan was doing a wonderful job rehearsing in Tem's role. "YES!!! YES, RYAN!! I KNEW TEM CHOSE THE RIGHT ONE FOR HIS ROLE!" Rouis exclaimed, excited. "Heh," said Ryan.
That very night, Ryan dressed in his costume and Tem knew he was prepared. Then a knock was heard on his dorm room door. Ryan opened the door. It was a fox with two tails as he was carrying a box of his stuff. "Oh! You must be my new roommate!" Ryan said as he let the fox in. "My name is Miles Prower but call me Tails," he said. "Name's Ryan Westhearth. What brings ya here?" He asked him. "Skipped a few grades due to my intelligence," he said. Ryan was really impressed. "Heh, that's awesome," he said and Tails saw his play costume. "Whoa..your costume," said Tails. Ryan nodded and Tails went with him to the auditorium and Ryan leads him to the entrance. "Here's where you go. I gotta get to the stage," Ryan said. "Ok Ryan," said Tails. Ryan got to backstage JUST as the play was starting. "Perfect. Our advisor will cue you, Ryan," said Rouis. Ryan nodded and the play started.
The curtains went up and the play began. Tails was sitting in the best seat. The play started off with the dancers and Rouis' character came onto the stage. "We are not safe here, Tsujiko. Those men will chase after you. I will have to call for some back up," said Alder, Rouis' character. "What kind of backup, Alder?" Said Tsujiko. Suddenly, Ryan's cue came on and he did a triple backflip into perfect landing. "You called, Alder?" Said Ryan's character. Tails was in awe as he saw Ryan's character did the triple backflip. "Thank you, Tusiko. We have an armada of evil do-ers coming to hurt this girl. We must slay them before they get to her," said Alder and the villain cue was on and he arrived on stage. "Heh, looks like we got company, let's do this," said Tusiko. "We'll have that girl, thank you. Stay out of my way or face your deaths," said the villain and the two 'fight' the villain. Everyone in the audience was on the edge of their seats. In the end, the two heroes take down the villain and his henchmen. Everyone cheered for the heroes's victory especially Tails who is definitely crushing on Ryan right now. The ending of the play came on with Tusiko bidding farewell. And the curtain fell as the audience applauded louder. Suddenly, Ryan's band came onto the stage and Ryan grabbed his acoustic/rock guitar and a chair. Everyone was in extreme happiness as the band came on. The curtain rose up just as the band started 'Our Dear Old Friend'. It was a sweet and somber lullaby-like song and Ryan's voice was absolutely like a sweet angel's voice and that made the audience cheer as loud as they could. Tails was feeling the emotion of the song in his heart.
The song then ended on a very happy tone as the outro lyrics were heard. 'Oh our sweet dear old friend, we'll forever think of you in our hearts. Always.' And the song ended on Ryan's final chord. Everyone lost it. They cheered so much that Ryan felt overwhelmed with support. "Whoa…." Tails said softly as his face went red. The curtains then went down and Tem showed up in front of Ryan, really excited and overjoyed. "That was the most epic and beautiful moment of all time!" he said. "Heh, well, I wrote this song for you, Tem, to show how much you changed my life and all our lives," he said as he smiled. "Aw thanks Ryan," said Tem.
Later that night, Ryan and Tails went back to their dorm with their friends. "Ryan, that truly was the most beautiful and amazing song I have ever heard," Tails said, all happy for him. "Thanks Tails, I wrote the song for my old friend Tem," said Ryan. "I'm very sorry for your loss, Ryan. Tem seemed like a kind hearted soul who never gave up on his friends when they're down," Tails said and that touched Ryan's heart. "Of course he was a great friend...and I noticed that your face was blushing hard as I finished the song" he asked, raising his eyebrows up and down and smirking, and that made Tails blush even harder. "I… uh...ok...the truth is that I'm bisexual and I am in love with you." He confessed. And Ryan's friends were smiling. "Heh heh, Ryan, he just confessed to ya, bro! Whatcha gonna say?" Said his friend, Jack, the golden labrador retriever while smirking. "Why I say I would love to be your boyfriend, Tailsu~" he said as he was bisexual himself. Tails had stars in his eyes and he hugged Ryan tightly. "Heh, you feel so soft~" said Ryan softly. Before they kissed, however, they heard growling outside. "Did you hear that?" Said Tails. "I'll be right back," Ryan said as he left in a flash.
He ran outside to where a fountain was, and he sees a wolf clutching a small dwarf bunny in his arms. Ryan realized that it was Legoshi, his friend. "What the.." he said softly. Suddenly, a red light shined on Ryan and he looked up to see the red moon. "...Shit, I shouldn't be out here this late…" he said. He tried to run back to the dorm. Suddenly, a rabid predator grabbed him and held him in his arms.
