So... Here's a little Percabeth One-Shot. English isn't my first language, so please don't to kill me because of grammar mistakes. (I would really appreciate that) I didn't really want to publish this at first but: No risk, no fun. :)
The seven were having a meeting. One after another strolled in and sat down at the table. They wanted to start but Annabeth was nowhere in sight. Percy said that he was going to get her. He left the room and searched for her.
After a while he found her leaning against the railing, looking at the stars with doubtful eyes. Percy walked over to her. As he got closer he noticed the tears on Annabeth's cheeks. He wrapped his arms around her from behind "What's wrong wise girl?" he asked with sorrow evident in his voice. Annabeth kept looking at the stars while she started to talk "We just barely survived Tartarus, how are we going to fight the earth itself? Caligula let his army stab the water to try to defeat Poseidon. I mean how dumb do you have to be to think that would actually work? It would be the same if we tried to fight the earth. How can someone fight something that can manifest itself where it wants at any time? How exactly should we do something impossible? I know the Prophecy said 'to storm or fire the world must fall', so it has to be either Leo, Jason or you" She started to tear up again "I don't want to lose you again" It was barely above a whisper. Percy kept quiet the whole time while she shared her doubts and worries. He was quiet while Annabeth silently cried. Suddenly Percy began to sing. He sang quiet but full of love and joy, a little smile on his lips. "Remember?", Percy asked as he pulled her closer to him. His head on top of hers. Annabeth slightly smiled as the tears began to stop running down her cheeks, "When we were in the pit, I was nearly having a breakdown. You just started to sing." She smiled to herself while remembering that time. Percy replies with his signature grin "You laughed while we were dancing in Tartarus" Annabeth quietly laughed "I nearly fell into the River Cocytos" Percy smirked remembering that 'event' and looked at her with eyes full of love. "Good thing I held your hands" She rolled her eyes with a grin present on her face "You were the reason I nearly fell in there" He gave Annabeth a sheepish smile in return which cracked her up a bit. "We were having so much fun down there even though we thought we were going to die. I think nobody ever laughed in the pit" Annabeth looked at the stars with dreamy eyes. Percy looked down at her and smiled warmly "You're probably right. Most would just give up hope, look back at their life and think about what they did wrong to deserve a fate like that. But why being depressed about it? If you think you're going to die, why not having the time of your live before you have to leave this world forever? It's better to die with joy in your heart than having sadness in it" Annabeth looked at Percy. He was looking at the stars with thoughtful eyes. She might say that he's a seaweed brain, but sometimes he's wiser than Athena herself. That's one of the reasons she loves him. After a little while he looked down at her with a gentle smile "So, let's get this meeting stuff done and after that get a full ton of sleep. We can think about saving the world later. Let's just relax as long as we can." Annabeth turned her gaze away from the night sky and met with Percy's. She grinned "Let's punch the shit out of that dirt woman" He laughed "That's the spirit!" Percy put an arm around her waist and pulled her to the meeting room. She smiled at him "Thanks" Percy stopped and asked confused "For what?" Annabeth smiled lovingly at him "Thanks for dancing with me down in Tartarus"
