A/N: Hey all! I haven't written in a very long time, so It's pretty safe to say i'll be rusty on writing. I'm extremely bored and my college classes are canceled and currently unemployed with all that's going on ;3; Hope everyone is safe and taking good care of themselves! Sorry if the writing doesn't make sense, I wrote this while going through a weird sinus infection during the craziness going on.

Summary: Uraka must face a fear alone in the brand new training center. With the whole class watching, will her secrets come out for everyone to see, or will she conquer her fears once and for all…

Fear Me Not

She stopped trying to grab his attention

She only talked to him when he had a moment alone, and even that was so often. He never had time for himself, and when he did he sprinted off to do more training. This was the reality of their relationship. There is never going to be a 'them' or a chance for them to even try things out, and she accepted that.

Still, seeing him in front of her, with Toga was enough to make her blood boil.

"This isn't real. This is all fake." Uraka muttered to herself.

The bloodthirsty villain gave a broad grin. She stroked the point of the knife along her friend's neck sending shivers down the hero's spine. "Oh is it?"

Uraka prepared herself for battle, if this was her fear. She was going to have to face both of them, head on.

"It is." Uraka panted out, "I'm done playing games with you. Let's end this now!"

No amount of training could have prepared her for this.

"I bet you it has to be as big as the dormitory." Uraka heard one of her classmates in the back.

"Pfft! You're way off!" Another retorted back. "It has to be bigger than the entire gymnasium and the dormitory."

"Can't we just go inside already?" Ochacothought to herself. The new training facility had acted as the shiny new toy that everyone had to see. From what she knew about it, the facility had new gadgets and equipment for the students to test out and use for themselves.

She had to admit, for a brand new building to be made in just a few days, the construction crew did a great job. The building looked almost like a hero's headquarters from a movie. The building sat on the ground in a shape of dome that towered almost as tall as the school. The dome reflected like a giant mirror, only displaying whatever was outside. The cool part was how no one could peer inside the building, leaving some privacy for the heroes in training. That didn't bother Uraka at all. The less people watching, the better.

"Amazing!"

Ochaco tilted her head to the side. Her freckled friend practically fawned over the brand new building. Out of all of them, he had to be the most excited to get inside. The dome reflected his beaming figure, making Uraka's heart backflip. "No, no." she instructed herself, "Just friends. Remember that! Just. Friends."

Ochaco exhaled at her conscience reminding her about her crush. Still, it didn't mean she had to stop talking to him. She tiptoed beside him, trying her best not to disturb the many thoughts rushing through Midoyria's brain.

"So…" She trailed, trying to get his attention. "Looks pretty great doesn't it Deku?"

"Great doesn't even begin to describe it." Midoryia glanced at the brunette, still smiling. "Rumor has it that certain pro-heros donated some of their old gear from their agency for us to use."

"Really?!" Ochaco lit up with excitement

Brand new gadgets could potentially mean new gear for her costume down the road.

"Yeah!" Midoryia mirrored the girl's eager expression. "It's on UA'S media site."

The greenette snuck out his phone from his pocket and began swiping to find the school's site. "Here." He said, placing the phone in Ochaco's hands as he leaned close to still see. She could feel the back of her neck hairs rise as goosebumps began to crawl on skin. His bouncy curls tickled her ear as he began to read the article aloud since she wasn't. To her surprise, this was the first time Midoryia ever got close to her without freaking out. Normally he would squeal and turn into the same crimson shade as Kirishima's hair.

"...so many hero's monitors and old tech will be-."

"-Midoriya!" A hearty voice jolted the pair back.

Iida marched over with every ounce of authority from his class rep role.

Midoryia scrambled to tuck his phone back into his pocket and resumed his position away from Ochaco.

"S-Sorry!" Midoryia looked away, now turning red. "Won't happen again!"

"You know the rules!" Iida scolded making Midoryia feel practically criminal. "No cell phones during class. Even though we're outside, doesn't mean the rules don't apply."

"Sorry…" Midoryia rubbed the back of his neck.

"Don't worry Iida. Deku was just trying to show me more information about the new training center." Uraka commented, nudging him playfully.

"Just don't do it again." he shook his head and sighed. "This place could have cameras for all we know and I don't want you two getting in trouble, especially over something silly."

"Aye-Aye Sir!" Ochaco chuckled, saluting the class rep comically.

"Now pay attention." Iida cautioned the pair. "Aizawa is coming." and with that, he went off to warn any others that seemed to be off task.

Aizawa was an intimidating instructor, especially for students that didn't spend a lot of time training with him outside of the hero courses. After the attack on UA from several accounts, most of his students seemed to be less frightened by him. He managed to save all of their lives on several different accounts and put his life on the line for them. His dull glares and empty expressions led people to think that he was such a dark and uninteresting type of person. After working with him taking on Overhaul, Ochaco saw him in a much more respectable manner.

The professor paced his way through the group. Students parted away silently, creating a path for him to go through. His blood-shot eyes practically screamed for rest, but Uraka knew his reasons for not sleeping during the night. She stepped to the side, along with Midoriya making room for their professor at the front.

"The school created this new simulation facility to train students on how to handle situations that may lead you to think illogically, even when the stakes are high." He said, shoving his hands into his pockets. "Remember, villians will use anything against you to gain the upper hand. As future heroes, you face the challenge that one day your loved ones could potentially face danger with an enemy."

Aizawa paced himself closer to Midoryia, making even Uraka a little nervous. She snuck a peek at her friend who stood still with his eyebrows furrowed.

"Some of you need to think radically should that time ever come." their professor continued. He crouched to the same eye-level as Midoryia. "Especially you."

He sprung up and continued talking about the details of the facility. Ochaco could see Midoryia stiffening at his professor's direct words to him. There was some truth behind what Aizawa had stated. Her friend did carry a reputation of being impulsive which has put him in a position of harm in the majority of the cases. She looked at Midoryia's scarred hand that was tightened into a fist.

"You okay?" she whispered to her friend, giving him a gentle nudge.

He looked back and replied with a firm nod. "Yeah." he sighed, releasing the tension in his body. "It's just a lot to take in."

"So exactly what is it going to simulate?" Kirishima raised his hand.

"Glad you asked." Aizawa said with a coy smile. "This simulator is going to project your biggest fears out for you to conquer."

An eruption of disbelief roared through class 1-A

"WHAT?!"

"You mean creepy crawlies and spiders are going to be simulated for me?" Aishido cupped her face sounding disgusted over the idea.

"Anything but bugs…"Ochaco's spine shivered.

"Really anything goes." Iida began to explain to his class. "If we have a fear of being robbed per se, then the simulator can pick up on it and simulate a scenario of a robber coming after us."

"That's exactly it." Aizawa nodded.

"Whatever!" Bakago snarled, crossing his arms. He looked away from the reflecting glass in front of him. "I ain't afraid of nothing, if anything, the rest of you babies are the ones that need to be concerned for this course."

"Bakago!" Kirishme elbowed him to shut up. Bakago growled back.

"If that's all the comments you have we can finally go inside to get started on today's lesson." Aizawa said while rubbing his temples. "Let's get going."

"Right!" the rest of the class respond

They followed their professor inside letting the automatic doors close them in. The class fell silent upon their entering, taking in the beeping monitors mounted on the walls. From the inside, the glass windows had been tainted black, creating such a mysterious atmosphere. Ochaco scanned her surroundings, watching the monitors display simulations of other students.

She could feel the sweat bead inside her palms. What was her big fear anyway? She supposed bugs, but that didn't seem like something so big to be simulated. She walked further.

Not too far off was what she presumed to be the arena. It was caged off by another thick reflector wall, having monitors mounted above where the glass ended. For the inside being hollow, the arena was very well lit. White walls covered the whole room with nothing but a red dot in the middle.

"There's my favorite class!"

The class stopped hard in their tracks to focus on the familiar voice. An hourglass shadow strutted their way over to the group, arms up in the sky. Going closer to the light, the hero's violet hair bounced with every step she took.

"Midnight!" The class joyously clapped.

"That's right!" The sleep-inducing heroine put her hands on her hip. "I'll be taking over this class for now."

Aizawa let out a sound of relief, "They're all yours."

"Alright then! Let's get started!" Midnight clapped her hands together with eagerness.

The group walked further into the new facility, looking up everytime Midnight gave details about their upcoming training. "As you can see, this dome is gigantic for the various scenarios students are capable of making up. These reflective mirrors only allow the student's on the outside to see in."

"You mean everyone is going to be able to see us train?" Yaoyorozu crossed her arms.

"Yes and no." Midnight replied without hesitation. "You see, only those who have finished will be able to watch the training going on. Those that haven't finished, will have to wait in the locker rooms."

"So im confused." Kaminari scratched his head. "Exactly how is this going to work? How is the system going to even know what we're afraid of?"

"Let me explain." Midnight's tone changed." She tapped on the closest monitor screen, revealing a 3-D hologram of a blacked out training uniform and silver helmet. The pro-hero enlarged the graphic off the monitor, holding it on her palm.

"Whoa."

"Neo-technology allows the helmet to scan any memories and emotions from your brain." Midnight said, spinning the helmet with her finger. "This allows the system to gather any information it sees potentially fit for your simulation. Think of it, almost like a dream."

"More like a nightmare." Ochaco bit her lip.

"The bodysuit." the professor continued, swiping in the new graphic, "will let you feel anything going on during your training. Of course, it won't pose any harm to your body, but will let you experience the different senses and experiences for optimal training. For example, if something were to tap your shoulder, you would feel that tap in real-time. If something were to push you, you would feel that shove."

"Y-You mean any kind of touch?" Minetas' voice shook with pleasure. Lord knows where his mind wandered off to.

"Now of course, today's training will take up most of your day, but how 'bout we have a volunteer demonstrate what the training will look like?" Midnight grinned, looking anxiously for a student.

"Do I have any takers?"

Ochaco looked amongst her peers. They had all fallen dead silent, and stared straight to the floor. She couldn't blame them. The thought of having someone's biggest fear displayed out like a movie for everyone to see seem mortifying to her.

"Anyone?" Midnight chirped again, still scanning the group. "Anyone at all."

"...I'll do it."

Ochaco spun her head toward the back. The virtuoso hero solitary stood away from her group.

"Jiro?" she mouthed.

"Perfect!" midnight clasped her hands together. "So what will happen is you go into the changing room and get suited up, meanwhile, i'll answer any burning questions your class may have." she said while nudging the heroine off to the other room. "When you're done, go straight out to the arena. You'll have ten seconds before the simulation starts! Best of luck!"

A/N: Chapter two on Jiro's training is gonna come out relatively pretty soon. Just wanted to get this up asap! If this story's weird, once again...sorry! I'm on a lot of medicine, binge watching the anime and this idea came into my head :3 Forgive me! I haven't written in like 4 or 5 years!
