Jack wander the halls of the ice cavern he had found years ago and came to love. He knew that if he went deep enough it could take him back in time, the Man in the Moon had told him so. Why he had shared this bit of knowledge with Jack, he wasn't sure, but he found he couldn't help trying to find the spot MiM had had mentioned.
This would be the day, he was sure of it. He had heard a voice singing and one responding, soon singing together. Still he could not find the entrance to this other time, it frustrated him so. Months passed and Jack kept returning, the singing having gone silent since that one day, but he could still feel the presence of one of them, the one who had answered the first singer. They weren't always there, but they returned often.
One day, Jack slammed his fist against a solid wall in frustration… only for it to give away! He tumbled down, landing in front of a startle, platinum blond girl. Her white outfit with flowing sleeves softly flowing around her as the wind that was both familiar and different to Jack circled them both. The girl instantly raised her arms in defense, her face taking on a stone cold look as she asked "Who are you? And how did you get here?"
Jack looked at her in shock, taking a moment before he asked softly "You can see me?" Elsa rolled her eyes and said "Of course I can see you, why wouldn't I be able to?" Jack laughed happily and said "You can see me!" Elsa wasn't sure what to make of this man, who seemed as unbothered by the cold as she was. Jack remembered himself and he said "Oh yeah, Jack Frost, at your service." Elsa arched her brow and said "Jack Frost? Really? You can do better than that."
"I'm serious, I really am Jack Frost! Look!" He used his hands to make a bunny, much like he had done with Jamie and Elsa was more shocked that someone had the same kind of powers as her then what he had actually made. "You can make things like me!" she said softly. Jack looked surprised, then happy as he said "Really!? Show me!" Elsa seemed a little startled by his request, but her spirit friends weren't bothered by Jack, in fact they seemed to accept him readily, so she did as he asked and made a bunny as well.
Jack laughed and grabbed his staff, sub consciously asking Gale for a lift, which they readily provided, as he said "You can do! This is great!" His bubbly attitude was contagious, almost reminding her of Anna… Anna! Charades! "Oh my gosh I'm late, I have to go!" Elsa said, running towards the entrance. Jack, still riding Gale, asked "Where are you going?" "To see my sister, its family game night and we are doing charades." Elsa said as she mounted The Nokk, turning him and asking for a lift to Arendelle.
Jack followed alongside her as he said "Charades, ooh I'm good at Charades! Can I come?" Elsa hesitated, but she had to admit she was curious about him so she said "Alright." Jack laughed, but then became sober and said "Just don't be surprised if people start asking if you're okay or if you are feeling alright." Elsa looked at him questioningly, asking "Why would they do that?" "Only people who believe in me can see me, usually that's just kids but even they can be a tough crowd." Jack answered, rubbing the back of his neck.
Elsa smiled and said "Well Anna and Olaf should be easy, Sven too if you count reindeer. Kristoff might be a challenge, but then again he was raised by rock trolls so you have that going for you." Jack grinned and said "Sounds like an easy crowd!" The two chatted the whole way there, making the journey seem remarkably short for Elsa, who made it quite often to visit her sister.
Upon reaching Arendelle, Jack was surprised when Elsa took him to the castle, causing him to whisper "Your sister lives here?!" Elsa chuckled and answered "Yes and I used to live here, back when I was queen and all." Jack's eyes bugged out of his head, causing Elsa to outright laugh, but she said nothing more as she motioned him to follow her. Waiting for her in the room they always played the game in were her family. "Sorry I'm late, I was making a new friend and lost track of the time."
Anna looked over at her sister and said "No problem sis. Is this your new friend?" She motioned to Jack, who had walked in behind Elsa. Jack laughed and said "You are right, she was quite easy to get to believe, we didn't even have to say anything." Anna looked back and forth between her sister and Jack as she asked "Wait, what? What does he mean by that?" "Who are you talking about Anna?" asked Kristoff, somewhat confused.
"She's talking about the barefoot man that came in behind Elsa." Olaf said, Sven nodding his agreement. Kristoff raised an eyebrow, sure they were pulling his leg, but Elsa said "You were raised by trolls Kristoff, think you can bring yourself to believe in Jack Frost?" Kristoff's eyes widened as the man finally became visible to him, Jack knowing it was so by the expression on his face. "Well now that introductions have been made, I hear that a game of charades are in order?" Jack said, happy to have others besides the Guardians and the children to talk to.
Shaking off the weirdness of the moment, everyone quickly settled into the game, Jack being sure to bring loads of laughter as he really got into it. When the game finally drew to a close, Jack headed for the door and Elsa asked "Where are you going?" "Back to where I need to go, got to bring the wintery fun." Jack said with a grin.
"Will we see you again?" asked Anna. Jack grinned and said "Are you kidding, you'll see so much of me, you'll be sick of me." He picked up his staff, then bowed and said "Until next time your highnesses." Summoning Gale, he flew out the window that was behind where they stood to act out charades. Kristoff, Anna, Olaf and Sven watched with open mouths as he flew away and Elsa smiled, she couldn't wait until the next time Jack Frost came to visit.
So two things made me write this story. One was that as of the 19th of this month, I have been posting stories here on fanfiction for 6 years, so I kind of wanted to celebrate it, especially if I could do it with one of my fav OTPs and the one that got me to start posting on here. So I already knew I wanted to do a Jelsa story, but what.
That answer, as well as the second thing, came when my family watched Frozen 2 tonight and that scene were Elsa was riding back towards Ahtohallan at the end made me go well there would be a great spot for her to meet Jack. Originally I was going to make it some place he had decided to settle in, but I really wanted it to be the Jack we knew, from our time. So I figured if anyone could get him back in time with Elsa it would be MiM XD
It was fun to write for this pairing again, who knows may do more of it again in the future :D
