This is my first story on this platform!

I am obsessed with My Hero Academia, and I have thought about writing a fan-fiction on it for a while now. I began this story because I had a character in my mind who I decided to bring to life recently.

This story is from different perspectives. For example, when it changes to another character's perspective, it will be shown as : *character name* . I hope this makes sense.

Also, this chapter is quite a lot shorter than they normally will be as it is somewhat of a prologue.

I wanted to let you guys know that thought this story does not have cover-art yet, it will soon.

I'm super excited to share this story with you all!

*Ochaco*

"Hey, Ochaco, do you want to play volleyball with us?" Mina Ashido splashed through the shallow end of the pool to the side where her classmate sat.

"Uh, no, thanks. I would rather just watch."

"Okay. Suit yourself." Ochaco Uraraka's huge brown eyes followed Ashido as she climbed out of the large pool. She was dashing from person to person, rounding up as many people to play as she could. So far, she had Momo Yaoyorozu, Tsuyu Asui, Toru Hagakure, Minoru Minetta, Denki Kaminari, and Eijiro Kirishima. Make that eight, with Hanta Sero. Before he jumped in, Ochaco spied Sero pull Kaminari to the side and say something like:

"Please remember not to use your quirk in the pool. That could have been bad last time." Kaminari's quirk was electrification, which, one would think would be common sense, but he was relatively lacking in that skill.

Further behind Sero, Kirishima was trying to convince a permanently ticked-off Bakugo to play with them. In the end there were two teams comprised of those who Mina had asked/forced to join. Ochaco sat on the side of the pool, her legs floundering in the water and her bottom planted safely on the concrete. One of the two teams in the water was made up of 8 people: Izuku Midoriya, Shoto Todoroki, Minoru Minetta, Rikido Sato, Tsuyu Asui, Denki Kaminari, and Momo Yaoyorozu. The other team was comprised of 7 people: Kyoka Jiro, Tenya Iida, Toru Hagakure, Mina Ashido, Eijiro Kirishima, Katsuki Bakugo, Yuga Aoyama, and Hanta Sero.

The teams backed away from the net for the games to begin. Momo served. The ball flew over the net. Kirishima jumped just in time to smack it back. Just from where she was clinging to the side, Asui flicked her tongue out, whacking the ball toward an opening between Jiro and Aoyama. The movement was so swift that no one had a chance to react. The ball landed. Team Momo had scored a point. Ochaco rooted for both teams, but she was a bit partial to one in particular. She was worn out from the training the day before. It had been the last day of school before summer, and instead of easing out of the year, their teachers, mostly Mr. Aizawa, had worked them extra hard. Ochaco zoned out.

She opened her eyes to see Izuku leap up, slamming the ball into the other team's side, scoring another point for team Momo.

Yaoyorozu shouted, "Seven six! Our favor!" Bakugo picked up the ball, aggressively clapping it between both hands. He had a vicious grin on his face.

"I'm gonna pound you into the concrete, you nerd!" His violence was clearly directed at Izuku. He stood his ground, though. Ochaco figured that Bakugo was probably planning on beating Deku up with the ball rather than scoring any points.

Iida protested, saying, "That is not very sportsmanlike!"

"Shut it, four eyes!" Bakugo yelled, preparing to serve.

"Maybe dial it back a little-" Kirishima suggested.

"Don't tell me what to do! You were the one begging me to play in the first place!" Bakugo fumed.

"Well, yeah," Kirishima rubbed the back of his neck. "…but there's a difference between a friendly game of volleyball and a murderous match of whack-a-student." Ignoring Eijiro, Katsuki leaped above the net with the ball. He held his hands straight out in front of him and dispensed a small explosion. The ball rocketed toward Izuku. Before he had time to jump aside, it splashed into the water just a few inches in front of him. He wiped off the water that had gone into his face and swallowed. Ochaco figured that they were thinking the same thing: Bakugo was anything but a bad aim. Which meant that he probably just wanted to show that he could have creamed Deku with that ball if he'd really wanted to.

Ochaco saw Minetta lean over toward Todoroki, who had to bend slightly to hear what the little turd had to say. She barely caught it.

"Is that even legal? I mean on the serve?" If it was, Ochaco was sure that no one wanted to point it out- and possibly get exploded. Which meant another point for team Mina. She wished she could be having fun with them, but it was too risky. There was too big of a chance of getting dunked or slipping underwater at one point or another. Of course she could stay in the shallow end, but with that many people and all the confusion… Ochaco's mind trailed off. She remembered the time when she'd tried to use her quirk, zero gravity, on herself, underwater. It had been extremely disorienting and had left her so nauseous that she was throwing up the whole rest of the day.

"-aco? Ochaco?" She had been so lost in her thoughts she hadn't noticed that the game was in intermission for refreshments. Momo was wading toward Ochaco, followed by Denki.

"Oh, sorry." Ochaco smiled nervously. Why was she nervous!? Maybe it was her instincts telling her that something was about to go very, very wrong.

I just wanted to let you all know that I will be uploading individual chapters on every Sunday and Thursday.
