Prologue: The Meeting

~Kaien Point of View~

The usual happy-go-lucky headmaster was distraught, walking to and fro across his grand office since dawn. He gave a suffering sigh for the hundredth time that morning crossing his arms across his chest as he looked past the glass window panes towards the Cross Academy Gate.

Staying put as he was now, one could easily notice the dark circles under his hazel eyes informing them he slept little since that meeting two weeks ago.

It has been nearly a decade since Cross Academy has been created yet little progress has been made between humans and vampires since then. Most likely due to the fact vampires were kept a complete secret from the human students and staff. And if it were discovered, erasing their memories became a top priority on the spot.

Although this kept the peace within the school for now, Kaien questioned if it is serving in the long run for what she had truly desired: the co-existence of humanity and vampires.

Kaien had made it his life vow to see Juri's dream come to fruition and to do so would require exposure of the vampire race to humanity. It is an undeniable fact, one he had come to again and again since building Cross Academy.

Over the past decade, he has worked relentlessly to meet the demands of the Vampire Council, the Vampire Hunter Association and his own to achieve a class program that would gradually unveil the truth.

After years of dedicated research, he was able to locate an ancient text with an exact binding spell to seal secrets among the staff members and students. This was the first step in ensuring the safety and secrecy in the program until humanity and vampire could fully integrate.

The next and nearly impossible step was finding a soulful individual willing to be the facilitator of such class. The individual should be educated and trained in the Counseling Healing Art, unbiased and accepting of both races as equal. If casualties were to ensue because of either beings, said individual would not take side and be capable of averting such incidents in the first place to continue the shallow peace between humanity and vampire.

As such no casualties should ever be reported and absolutely no harm to either human or vampire students and staff, otherwise the entire program would be terminated. Confidentiality was a must and the individual must vow to protect all they discovered to themselves. If such information is to be leaked, death could be imminent.

As if locating such a soul wasn't hard enough on top of laying their life on the line for humanity and vampire, the last and most crucial condition was going to be determined by the vampire progenitor himself.

The bi-spectacle lens man swallowed and allowed his chaotic mind to replay the final words of the eminent pureblood vampire that sealed the ordeal, "Only if she passes..."

Closing his eyes in a prayer, Kaien whispered to the dark room, "I hope I'm doing the right thing Juri…"

It all comes down to tonight.

Please be safe Soah...
