HPFC: Album Drabble Challenge:Know-It-All(four pink walls) and Crayola Color Challenge:sherbert pink

Ginny snuggles into bed on a Monday night with all the sleepiness of her four-year-old self.

"Mum!" she yells. "Can I have a sto-wie?"

"I'll be there as soon as I finish putting Ronald to bed, Ginny!" her mother yells back, sounding angry. Why is Mum angry? Is she angry at her? What did she do?

She looks at the roof and counts the boards. "One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine…" What came after nine? Bill only taught her so much before Mum told him to finish his homework. He said he was going to school the following day. Charlie was going too. Why couldn't she go with them?

"Dad?" she tries next.

"He isn't home yet." Percy shouts from his room. "Keep quiet, Ginny!"

"I want a sto-wie," she says, pronouncing the difficult word slowly. "Can you come?"

"It's pronounced 'story'," Percy replies. "I can't come, I'm busy."

She yells several times more before giving up, staring at the walls of her room. Four walls, one-two-three-four. She counts them over and over again. She likes the colour they're painted: they're pink, like the drink Mum made her once. What was it called? Sher-sherber-sherbert? Yes, her walls are sherbert pink.

Fred and George run in and hold a finger to their lips as they crawl under her bed. That's the signal to be quiet. "Why do I need to be quiet?" she says softly.

"We're hiding," one of them says from under her bed.

"From who?"

They crawl out. "She doesn't know, Fred," George said.

"Should we tell her about the monsters?"

"No, I don't think she needs to know that they hide in our closets and come out after we fall asleep."

"Yes, she definitely doesn't need to know about all the children who went missing."

They smile at her, then walk out. "Goodnight, Ginny."

She wraps herself in her blanket, terrified of the monsters, waiting for Mum as she stares at her four pink walls.
