Character Bios

Major General George Hammond- Joined the AirForce at the age of 18 and swiftly moved up the ranks. He became a general at age 42 when he accidentally put on the uniform of a general with the same name. No one questioned him so he just went with it and took command. When the brass realized there was no official paperwork for his promotion, they figured it was an oversight and filed it. Years later he was given command of the SGC, where he still is now.

Colonel Johnathan "Jack" O'Neill- Joined the AirForce at age 18 and worked as a test pilot before joining the special forces. He retired for a while but decided to come back when offered a position at the SGC. He was tasked with destroying an enemy ship, however once he was on the other side, he realized that he forgot to take the bomb with him. Never one to not complete a job, he pushed every button he could find on the enemy ship and it eventually blew up.

Captain Samantha Carter- She graduated college with her doctorate in theoretical astrophysics at age 14 and joined the AirForce at age 18. She worked in the Pentagon for a while before being transferred to the SGC. She is beautiful and brilliant, however, she suffers from a speech impediment and all of her "s's" sound like "f's" which sometimes makes her hard to understand.

Doctor Daniel Jackson- Is an archaeologist, he has worked on dig sites all over the world, however after an unfortunate accident where he collapsed a tunnel on a dig site he was asked to leave. He was looking for a job when he noticed a help wanted ad in the newspaper looking for an archaeologist to work in a top secret military installation. He was the only one who applied and therefore offered the job.

Teal"c- Is a Jaffa who mistakenly helped SG-1 escape an alien prison when he tripped over his own foot and accidentally shot his own men. He was afraid of what would happen to him when Apophis found out, so he left with SG-1 thinking he could be a double agent. He has been secretly gathering intel on the humans, however has not shared any of it with the Goa'uld because he likes the team and is now confused as to whether he is a bad guy or a good guy.

Doctor Janet Fraiser- Is a dentist and she accepted the job at the SGC thinking that SGC stood for "Smile Good Center." She isn't so good at the medical aspect of the job but everyone at the SGC has really nice teeth.
