Help...

I stumble, the relentless blizzard rips away any heat to speak of. The frigid expanse of snow and looming mountains fills my thoughts with an encumbering sense of regret. "Heeeellllppppp!" I shout as loud as I can, my voice cracks in my throat. Chilling air fills my lungs, I cough feverishly. The howling wind drowns out my call, my body shivers uncontrollably. A bar in the edge of my blurred vision slowly shrinks, switching colors from green to yellow. An annoying pop-up displays on my face, warnings with the symbol of a snowflake flash red. You have entered an extreme area, your health is freezing away... I rip my hands out of their crossed expression, clawing ahead of me in hopeless frustration. You think I have a choice?! I fall forward, every inch of my skin gripping against itself as it freezes. My ears sting, snowflakes coat my eyelids. I cough, blood splatters on the white floor. I trudge through it, trying to call out again. "Help me, please!" I feel like crying but I dare not try. But underneath it all, rage burns. It melts away at the layers of false hope, eating at dreams of rescue.

They sent me here, didn't even try to hear my side. I didn't ask to come to this world, but at first I was excited. Prophecies of saving a world from evil, a great sense of adventure. But I screwed up, got too carried away. They didn't like it, more importantly, He didn't like it. An image flashes through my head, his face of self accomplishment as I'm given my death sentence, everyone else looking on me with eyes of disgust. He convinced them, I was nothing but trash in their eyes. I grit my teeth, feeling my numb face curl into scowl, I grip my garbage clothes, protection from enemies or the elements are at a low. I don't know where my sword went, I must have dropped it. I was banished to the worst realm of them all, I know I will die, there isn't a respawn. I grip at my chest, anger dies back down. It was an accident, but He told them otherwise.

A stone shattering roar rips my thoughts away, I stutter on a cough. I look around frantically, squinting as snowflakes tear at my eyes. Something lands, sending waves of snow in every direction. I fall backward, feeling my back, the one side that was untouched by the cold wind, get its heat ripped away. The massive creature cranes up its large head, a long serpentine neck connected to a bulky yet slim body. I feel a shiver, not one of the cold, but one of fear. Text flashes above it's head, the letters bleeding purple. Frostbite, Lv1075. I run, stumbling down the hillside. My health turns to orange, my own level of 4 sitting above it. I've been here for three minutes, and there is already a boss!? The pale white and cyan blue dragon roars, it's four armored legs thump into the ground as it pursues it's meek prey. I trip down the hillside, watching the world spin. I tumble down the hillside, each bone jarring smack on the ground chips away a chunk of my health, another pop-up shows a concussion, damage and speed reduction.

I slow to a halt, fighting to crawl out of the snow bank. The dragon on the top of the hill opens its maw, a loud hiss cuts through the wind. Shards of ice fly, stabbing into the ground around me. One brushes my leg, cutting through clothes and flesh like warm butter. I scream in pain, the area around the wound goes black. Another pop-up frostbite, slowly lose health. Through freezing tears and blurry vision, I watch as the beast launches itself down to my level in one leap, thumping onto the frozen ground in front of me. Loud cracks in the icy ground below the snow, the creature watches me with deep blue eyes. I fall to my knees, feeling blood trickle down my face from my nose. I watch, losing any chance of living. The dragon bellows a roar of victory, sending vibrations through the world around us. I close my eyes, feeling my arms go limp beside me. It rears up its head aiming to devour me in one bite. I'm sorry mom. Less than a week ago, I was in the real world, calling out to my mother my goodbyes, before leaving for school. She called back, wishing me a good day. I can only imagine her calling the police, worried as to where I went. I was ripped away, and left to die on a snowy mountainside for someone else's own agenda. I hope you don't miss me too much.

The ground below me rumbles, a loud shatter as the floor I kneel on shatters. I fall, the dragon's mouth clamps down on open air. It roars in anger, I plummet into a dark abyss. Sharp icicles stab at my back, breaking under my weight. My arm smacks limply on a ledge, sending my spinning. I fall for a few more seconds, before landing diagonally on a frozen over boulder. I skid to a halt, I dare not to move. The edges of my vision bleed into black. A final pop-up presents itself. You have lost consciousness, you will be unable to defend yourself.

My mind goes numb, I can't think up anything. Icicles impale my limbs, my left arm bends awkwardly between the shoulder and the elbow. Broken ribs, frost bitten leg, a hammer pounding in my head. Only a red sliver of health left, debuffs filling every inch of the perceived world. Far above, the blizzard roars on, an enraged dragon digs at the edge of the thin ice ceiling, chunks of it cracks on the floor around me. I close my eyes. So this is how I die, alone at the bottom of a cave. Left with only a broken body, and a dirtied name. My head stops trying to fight gravity, my neck goes limp. My eyelids loosen, showing numb irises stare endlessly at frozen walls. My jaw slackens, leaving a half alive smile on my face. I lose sense of reality, losing al senses to a growing hole. It envelops me, until I am no more.
