So I got a new computer and wouldn't you know it I can't use any of my old typing programs without paying a bundle, so I wrote this short story while experimenting with different programs, thankfully I think I found a good one that works. I'm also, not to concerned about this coronavirus, though I think it made the world go stupid, but it annoyed me enough take about a week off from work due to the ridiculous policies they've been making, like how you have to stay 6 feet away from each other at work, even though most workers literally don't have the space to keep that kind of distance. So I guess it gives me the time to work on several of my own projects; like this, which I guess is something to be thankful for. This story was inspired by the bad end message you get after failing the mission "Scramble" in Dragon Rage, which you can see below. Hope you all enjoy this story and please remember to review and checkout my poll.
Whatever Happened To Adara
With the Dragon Eggs lost, Cael lost his reason to fight, and was soon captured and processed. No one ever found out what happened to Adara.
The bad end in the Dragon Rage mission "Scramble".
—
Adara didn't know what to do, she gave a comatose dragon at Desmurian Ty zeenium; which she herself received from a orc monk named Galthran, which allowed the dragon named Cael to escape and destroy much of the compound. She was also captured during during that event, but was thankfully quickly saved the orcs by Cael. The two quickly joined forces to free both of their own respective race from the orc bureaucracy. Unfortunately their first mission the liberation of the dragon eggs from Desmurian Ty ended up a complete and utter failure. In hindsight Adara suppose she should have seen it earlier, Cael despite having the natural ability and instincts he was just too inexperienced to successfully track down all the wagons with the eggs. After all how would have Cael learn such useful skills while being kept in captivity for his entire life. Honestly it's a miracle that his wings were able to develop the muscles to fly after having grown up in such an environment.
"Oh, you let the orcs get away with the eggs! What is the use of trying to free the dragons if you can't even stop one wagon?" The last thing she ever said to Cael continued to play in her head.
She regrets saying that very much now. She had no idea what kind of affect it would have had on Cael. Her words seemed to have given him the idea that these eggs would have been the last of his kind they would be able too free and without them his race would either go extinct or remain as cattle waiting to be slaughtered for their zeenium. Unfortunately that was probably the reality, the bureaucracy struck Adara as petty enough to kill any captive dragon they if they had even an inkling of a rescue. Reality; however, doesn't her get over seeing her friend apparently lose his will to fight and get captured and go back to Desmurian Ty or some other similar compound.
Despite all of this Adara forced herself to continue on the move. She could no longer stay here, the presence of orcs has increased dramatically looking for what eggs Cael managed to safe and any more freedom fighters, like Adara. She suppose the only place she can go is back to Galthran and pray that he will continue to help her and not simply turn on her. It will be a long trip though especially considering she can't afford to fly with all the orcs around, she'd be to noticeable with her colorful glow. She'd have to still be careful though because the glow she gives off can still be easily seen during the day. Her extra care didn't help her though because without warning she was quickly scooped up off the ground and was shoved into her captor's mouth where she was swallowed whole.
"You find anything?" a orc soldier asked another.
"Just a sprite," the other orc soldier answered, ignoring the muffled cries of the the sprite traveling down his throat.
The other orc perked up. "Did you save me a piece?" the orc asked.
"Sorry, but I just love the way they squirm on their way down," the other orc answered, now feeling the movement that settled in his stomach slowly stop.
