Story Summary: Captain Rex isnt a clone, He was kidnapped at his birth by the Kamionions. He didn't know that until his General Anakin Skywalker found out and introduced him too his real family the Malfoy's. He had wanted to stay with his parents and brother but he had a duty to his brothers then, his men, although not by blood they were still his brothers so he kept of pretending to be a clone. His father taught him what magic he could and gave Rex a book of spells and a wand of his own too have. Near the end of the war, Rex started removing Bio-chips from the men so order 66 wouldn't happen, only his efforts were in vain. So he hide the men he saved throughout the Galaxy. And went to an outer rim planet with Commander Wolffe and Gregor casting a glamor on himself to hide he wasn't really a clone. Years later two jedi, a Mandalorian and a lasat show up at his walker. When the empire strikes they save the three clones and Rex agrees to come too the war against the empire. Soon into that he meets a man he never thought he'd see again and the truth comes out.
Coming out of retirement
It was late afternoon when he spotted the ship come towards his walker, it was not an Empire ship for sure, they weren't due to check in on them for a while. "We got a ship incoming" Gregor said from the back
"I'm aware of that Gregor" Rex says stretching, his glamour worked to good sometimes, He Gregor and Wolffe stepped out to greet the ones who got off the unknown ship. He saw four of them. The first one he saw was an adult Human male with brown hair and eyes the color or Kamino's seas or Earth's skies he couldn't decide which. Next too the Human was another human this one a boy who looked no older than 15 or 16. He had blue eyes and black hair, his eyes weren't as bright as the first but still noticeably blue. The boy's hair had a blue tent too it's blackness. The next was a girl in Armor and a helmet, he wasn't entirely sure it was a girl but from the color scheme, he had to guess. She or He appeared to be a Mandalorian and maybe only 16 or 17 from the height. The last and the biggest of the bunch was a creature Rex never thought he'd ever see. A Lasat.
"It's just a bunch of old Geezers" The Lasat said. Rex wanted to roll his eyes at that, but he resisted, he wasn't as old as they thought he was. He saw both Wolffe and Gregor had their weapons with them.
"Well-armed old Geezers" The Mando corrected confirming that she was in fact a girl.
"What do you want?" Rex demanded in the tone his brother was most renowned for using
"We're looking for someone" The older Human said
"Well, that's too bad, 'cause there's nobody out here." Rex said smugly
"Hey, uh, does the number 7567 mean anything to you?" The boy said, that took Rex, Wolffe and Gregor by surprise. Gregor only knew it sounded like a birth number. Wolffe and Rex knew who's it was. It was Rex's birth number. The false birth number. The cloners only gave him that number because it was also the number in his parents address.
"What did you just say?" Rex growled
"Uh, I said, 7567" The boy says
"I haven't heard those digits in Well, that's my birth number." Rex said
"Birth number?" The boy said confused
"They're clones" The man said moving in front of the group pulling out a blue lightsaber. A Jedi, Rex hadn't seen that coming, and he's good at predicting many things.
"Kanan wait! Stop" The kid cried as the man did so. Wolffe didn't react well too seeing the lightsaber coming out but Rex couldn't blame him, he just had to stop him, and stopping Wolffe is a challenge.
"Jedi? They've come for revenge" Wolffe said aiming his blaster at the Jedi. Rex turned to see him do it, a look of 'are-you-kidding-me' and annoyance coming across his face, he knew Jedi did not seek revenge. Wolffe fired several shots at the jedi who deflected them with ease.
"Drop the blaster old man" The lasat said pulling out one of his own, the Mando also pulled out two pistols. At this time Gregor decided to join in Rex's headache raising his own blastor.
"Don't try it Boyo! I'll gun you down" Gregor said
"Stand down troopers now!" Rex said knocking Gregor's blaster away from the jedi he was aiming at, Wolffe keep aiming at the Jedi "That's an order soldier" Rex said forcibly lowering Wolffe's blaster by putting a hand on the barrel and pushing down.
"But he's a jedi. a jedi!" Wolffe said struggling against rex to get his blaster back in place.
"I know, I know, but they weren't the ones who betrayed us" Rex said still fighting with Wolffe over the blaster "Remember, Wolffe" Rex said "Remember General Plo would he of wanted you to do this" Rex said soft enough for just Wolffe too hear, Wolffe finally lowered the blaster
"Kanan, Ahsoka said to trust them." The boy said too the jedi, Rex noted that the boy was the only one, besides himself, not to pull a weapon. He also heard the name he said. Ahsoka, could it be commander Tano had sent them, if so he had no idea what they wanted but there was still a problem that needed fixing.
"Sorry about the, um, weapons malfunction" Rex said nervously "My friend here is just a little defensive that's all, We haven't seen a jedi since….Well it's been a while" Rex said trying to calm the Jedi. He didn't recognize this one he had seen many Jedi during the clone wars and Skywalker had took him into the temple many times but he didn't recognize this Jedi. The boy began walking forward, and the jedi deactivated his lightsaber, Rex didn't need to be a Jedi too know Wolffe relaxed
"Well, my names Ezra" The boy said "this is Kanan" He gestured to the Jedi "That's Zeb and sabine" The boy gestured the the Mando and Lasat. The two were now putting away their blasters "Nice to meet you 7567" The boy, no, Ezra said the number slowly Rex almost wanted to laugh
"Actually," He said proudly "My name is Rex, captain, five hundred and first clone battalion. Meet commanders Gregor and Wolffe" He gestured too both of the commanders in turn
"We were sent by Ahsoka Tano" Ezra said,
"Ahsoka Tano" Rex said smiling fondly, he remembered the snippy togruta girl he once called commander. He had many good memories of the girl each he held dearly. He loved her when it was forbidden though he doubted she actually knew of his love. "I fought by her side from the Battle of Christophsis to the siege of Mandalore. And a friend of hers is a friend of mine." He saw the boy's face light up with glee, Gregor and Wolffe went back into the walker as Rex stayed out and helped the four up even though they needed none,
"Hey. you're a big one aren't you" Gregor said when the Lasat; Zeb, passed by him.
"Bigger than you" Zeb said
"Whoa" Ezra said when he saw the three clones helmets, he picked up the blue one too get a better view, it was Rex's
"Hey, Hey" Rex said as he sat down "Easy with those son"
"Oh yeah, yeah, I might move the dust" Ezra said putting the helmet down. Rex had to give it too the kid, he had spunk, just like Ahsoka. Sabine had now entered taking off her helmet she had brown eyes and her hair was died several shades of blue
"How is commander Tano?" Rex asked curious about the one he once loved
"Uh, in need of help, we all are" The kid said "Look, we're trying to fight the Empire, but we're outnumbered, overmatched and taking a beating. We could use your help" Ezra tried to explain too the captain but Rex had no intentions of going back into a war, when Wolffe and Gregor died he planned on going back to his parents. Mr. and Mrs. Malfoy, Rex's real name was Scorpius Malfoy and he had a brother named Draco. Right now with the glamor on he looked old with brown eyes and a white beard due to the 'aging' That wasn't what he really looked like, without the glamour he regained his youthfulness, in his late twenties, all his muscles would be toned out again. His hair would be back as it's normal blonde color, platinum blonde and his brown eyes would turn back too grey.
"Well, I'm not sure I'm much help to anyone these days." Rex said leaning back in his chair "Didn't you hear? The Emperor said the clone army has out severed its purpose and retired us. Now we spend our days just telling stories and slinging for joopas." Part of Rex did want to help the kid but he also wanted to return to his family, he was torn on what to do, but did as he had decided a long time ago, not get involved.
"This was a wasted trip" Kanan said bitterly "You heard the clone he's not interested" Rex looked slightly insulted by being called clone, he had stopped considering himself a clone when he found out that he was a Wizard.
"Wait" Ezra said "You don't like the empire do you"
"Well, the empire certainly isn't the republic, but you can't do anything about that" Rex said
"You could fight" Ezra said rex had to admit the kid was persistent and was almost winning him over. Almost.
"Sorry, son." Rex said "My days as a soldier are over."
"Well, okay. Okay, then maybe there's one thing you can help us with." The kid said "We need a base. Ahsoka said you knew about all sorts of secret locations in the Outer Rim." Rex grinned, Gregor and Wolffe both looked at him, Wolffe shaking his head.
"Well, my memory isn't what it once was, but, um, there are a few spots I never bothered to report to the Empire." Rex said standing up "Look, why don't you wait outside and I'll put together a list of coordinates." The four Rebels left too go outside like Rex asked when he was sure they were gone Wolffe said
"Look, they're in some sort of trouble, if we help them we're putting ourselves in danger"
"Wolffe, Relax" Gregor said putting a hand on Wolffe's shoulder "We got the situation under control"
"Oh really, Really? What do you think the Empire will do to us if they find out that we are helping a Jedi, hmm? " Wolffe said swatting Gregor's hand away
"Yeah, I don't know what the Empire would do, but I'm going slinging." Gregor said walking out.
"Look Wolffe, I know you don't trust them but they need our help. We never turn away from those in need" Rex said as he heard Gregor arranging for Zeb to help them with their hunt. "Gregor you better know what you are doing" Rex said approaching the commander "I don't want the lasat to end up dead" He said in a softer voice
"Don't worry captain, I got it under control" Gregor says
"That's what worries me, did you at least tell them they could put their ship back their" Rex says gesturing to a part of the walker. He saw the jedi getting in his ship
"Yeah" Gregor said as Kanan put the ship where Rex had gestured too, he saw the boy, Ezra walk onto the ship and get on
"Good" Rex said
"You want to help them" Gregor said
"Is it that apparent?" Rex said
"You want to help her" Gregor said
"Yes, I want to help Ahsoka… I….just can't" Rex says
"Yes you can" Gregor said
"But you and Wolffe" Rex says
"We'll be fine on our own, now go tell the Jedi you're change of mind" Gregor said giving Rex a push towards the Jedi ship. Sighing Rex walked that way about too make his presence known too Kanan and Ezra, he heard Kanan speaking
"It was at the end, the end of the war. Our fellow soldiers, the clones, the ones we Jedi fought side by side with, suddenly turned and betrayed us. I watched them kill my master. She fought beside them for years, and they gunned her down in a second, and then came for me. Later they said they had chips in their heads that made them do it. Said they had no choice" Kanan was inspecting his own lightsaber, Rex felt for the jedi, he could understand where he came from, during order 66 he was treated just like the jedi, he to was hunted,because he was a Wizard and was carrying around Ahsoka's Lightsabers at the time. Instead of telling Kanan what Gregor had insisted he felt he had too say something else, something to soothe the jedi of him and his two brothers.
"I didn't betray my Jedi" Rex said, that's because my General betrayed me, he thought "Wolffe, Gregor and I all removed our control chips" He gestured to his head, but he had no scar unlike greagor and Wolffe did, he never had a control chip, but he couldn't just tell kanan that. "We all had a choice"
"Well for what it's worth, I believe we can trust Rex" rex heard Ezra saying as he walked away from their ship. He hadn't told the jedi what gregor pushed him that way for. He needed to stay with gregor and Wolffe as much as he wanted to help Ahsoka, they needed him. Rex saw Gregor putting Zeb on the line, he really hoped Gregor's idea worked whatever it was, he didn't want this Lasat to die. He climbed up on the Canon which would hold the line, thinking about how he should let kanan know he wanted to come, or if he even did want to go with them
"Were coming up on the hotspot" Gregor said jolting him from his thought, Zeb was now out walking in front of them.
"Your hot spot looks like everywhere else on this desolate rock." Kanan said
"Alright full stop" Rex told Wolffe who was at the controls
"Alright just a little bit more, A little more" Gregor called,
"Oh really" Zeb muttered as he went a little further but he was too far away for the others too hear. Rex was having doubts about this plan of Gregor's, something didn't feel right, he knew one thing for sure; there was no making a mistake this time.
" You know, we really appreciate this. I mean, we, we should do well today, with your friend here." Gregor said turning too Sabine, Ezra and Kanan.
"Yeah well, Zeb packs quite a punch" Ezra said
"Oh, oh. I'm sure, I'm sure. But really, I mean, joopa supposedly love Lasats." Gregor said, at that Rex realised exactly what Gregor had planned and he didn't like it, he knew this would end badly
"They love them what do you mean?" Sabine questioned
"Well, they say they love the smell, or I guess they love the taste as well. And maybe it's about the texture-."
"I have a bad feeling about this" Rex said under his breath
"You know" Gregor finished
"Wait, Zebs not the hunter, he's the bait" Ezra says panicky. 'Way too go gregor, lose what little trust they had' Rex thought angrily
"Oh, hunter, bait, it's all the same" Gregor said nervously laughing, Rex almost couldn't believe what he was hearing, he wasn't sure gregor was laughing because he was nervous or because he was crazy.
"No it's not!" Kanan said standing on the very top of the walker near the driver's compartment. At that time they heard a loud noise "Zeb you better get back here right now" a ways away the ground sunk in some, Rex knew it was too late for Zeb to get on, even if he wanted too he couldn't get the Lasat one in time, the creature they were hunting was too fast. He hoped Zeb made it through this, and he was going to have a talk with Gregor after this, that was if Kanan didn't kill him first.
"Zeb what is that" Sabine asked as the sinking got closer too Zeb, Rex wanted to turn away but once the creature got Zeb he had to be focused too get him back alive.
"Buddy Run!" Ezra shouted "You're the bait, it's gonna eat you"
"Oh kara bast" Zeb said realising what the others had
"Zeb run. Get out of there" Ezra said
"What are you doing" Kanan said
"Run!" Sabine said as the ground under Zeb broke and a tongue grabbed the big built Lasat
"No!" Ezra shouted as Zeb was pulled down and the creature started to run with Zeb in it's mouth
"Whoo-hoo! This could be him! Our Big Bongo!" Gregor shouted in glee. Gregor was the only one excited wolffe pushed the gears forward so the walker was chasing the creature
"Hey, I bet you know a thing or two about mechanics." Rex said looking down at Sabine
"Yeah, good bet" Sabine said and she made her way up to him
"Keep an eye on this regulator. The line can overheat and shut down. No line, no jupper, no Zeb" Rex said making sure he got his point across he was worried that something could, or would go wrong but needed to keep his head.
"Got it" Sabine said
"What about me.. And him" Ezra said pointing too kanan who was now down on the deck with Ezra
"You got the best job of them all!" Gregor said excitedly "When the line swings around, you'll charge it with the electro-poles." Gregor had two electro-poles in his hands handing one to Ezra he said "Hit the line with the rod, and it'll send a bolt of energy down to the joopa. Do it enough, and you should bring it up to the surface." The one Ezra had lit up and Gregor presented the other too Kanan "He's one for you general"
"Don't call me that I was never a General" Kanan said annoyed
"Uh, My mistake, sorry commander" Gregor said
"No, it's not…" Kanan turned away from gregor clearly annoyed
"For the love of Merlin…." Rex mumbled "he's just going to make it worse" Sabine gave him a look
"Kanan won't mess up" She said
"Not Kanan, Gregor, he's just going to make things worse than they already are, with Kanan and us" Rex said "Gregor's sanity is only so- so" As Rex said this he swung around with the jupper. "Hit it! Now" kanan and Ezra both hit the line the jupper took off
"That's it! That's it! Ooh! He didn't like that!" Gregor said. Rex wished Gregor would just shut up "Hit him again" Gregor said and they did just that
"He's a runnin'" Rex said turning the cannon "Hit that line, one more time, bring him up" Ezra stood on the rail but he couldn't reach the line, the regulator started beeping indicating it was failing.
"We're losing the regulator" Sabine says jumping up too fix it
"Full stop, Wolffe! Dig in! This is where we finish the battle!" Rex said and the walker stopped moving and the ground cracked under its feet. Ezra was now on Kanan's shoulders trying to hit the line
"Whoa! I can't reach it! Kanan, lift me up!" Ezra said "Sabine"
"I know, I know" I'm working on it" Sabine said working as best she could on the regulator "Got it" She said as the power to the regulator restored at that Kanan gave Ezra his pole and Ezra sent two bolts into the line bringing the Jupper up to the surface it howled in anger
"It's big bongo" Gregor said as rex aimed the cannon at the things mouth and fired a plasma bolt which killed the jupper. He only hoped it didn't kill Zeb a few moments later Zeb came out of the juppers mouth coughing
"What a smell" Zeb said covered in slime
"Zeb!" Ezra exclaimed
"Nice catch old timers" Sabine said turning back too look at Rex who saluted her.
"Yeah! Way to go. Now that, that was impressive" Gregor said running down too Zeb and help him out of the jumpers mouth
"Impressive! You almost got my friend eaten" Kanan said angrily. Rex agreed with Kanan, that was uncalled for, but there was nothing he could've done to prevent it, he was just relieved Zeb was alive
"Yeah I was in that things mouth" Zeb said pushing Gregor off of him.
"But look at you. You brought in our biggest catch ever." Gregor said trying to calm Zeb down
"I….I did? Actually, it wasn't so bad, Kanan. I... I knew I had the beast from the beginning." Zeb said Rex shook his head for once Gregor actually managed to persuade someone
"And you're a natural" Gregor said
"We held up our end of the deal, Captain." Kanan said turning too Rex "Now it's time to get us those coordinates so we can go."
"I'll get 'em" Rex said hopping down off the canon "but you might consider staying for dinner"
"It's gonna be delicious!" Gregor said
"That thing tried to eat me. Only fair I get to see how it tastes." Zeb says at that Rex went in and begin to put together the list of coordinates, it took him a while to do so and the sun was setting when he was done, he then went back out
"I've assembled a list of potential bases and clearance codes and a few protocols the Imperials still use. Should be of some use" Rex said leaning on the rail next to Ezra
"Thanks Rex" Sabine said
"They're on our main computer. You're gonna need -"
"Data tapes. I got this" Sabine said going to the main computer
"You were brave today, kid. You jumped right in there to help. A great Jedi once told me that the best leaders lead by example. You do that well." Rex says thinking of Anakin skywalker as he told Ezra that
"Thanks." Ezra said looking over where Kanan was standing "I've learned from a great Jedi too. Kanan."
"Mmm." Rex said looking over at Kanan "You know, I don't think he likes me. Or ever will." Thinking back on order 66 he said "Can't say I blame him. The war left its scars on all of us."
"Won't you reconsider joining us?" Ezra said hopeful he wanted to say yes but instead he said
"You know, I've out served my purpose for that kind of fighting, I'm afraid. After the war, I questioned the point of the whole thing. All those men died, and for what?" Rex said thinking of all the men who died for nothing"
"I guess what they thought was right" Ezra said Rex saw that was right, his men died for what they thought was right
"The clones gave us up. They warned the Empire we're here." Sabine said coming back out too the deck
"Wait what?" Kanan said
"You have to be mistaken" Rex says defensively " I-We would never do that"
"Oh, I found the binary transmission to the Empire. And there are messages Ahsoka sent to Rex, and he never answered her!" Sabine said, that came as a surprise as Rex
"What? I never got any messages from Commander Tano." Rex said, then he realised, wolffe had done it
"I knew it, I told you they can't be trusted" Kanan said jumping up
"Kanan wait!" Ezra said "Is this true?" The kid said looking at Rex
"Wolffe" Rex said turning to his friend while cursing in his head, he expected gregor too be the problem not Wolffe "What did you do" he said using his voice of Authority
"I...I contacted the empire" Wolffe said defeatedly "If they found out that we were helping Jedi, they'd wipe us out." He said
"Sabine, go warn Hera. Tell her to scan for incoming ships." Kanan said not looking away from the two men he thought to be clones. Sabine ran off
"I wanted to protect you guys, protect our squad" Wolffe said desperately
"The War is over" Rex said grabbing Wolffe's shoulders "We are free men We can't live under the fear of the empire for the rest of our lives wolffe, that's not freedom"
"You're right. They're not our enemy. I'm sorry." Wolffe said at that time there heard blaster fire, coming from the jedi's ship, Rex turned that way too see Sabine lunge out of the way of a probe
"Kanan" She said and the jedi jump up after the probe, the probe flew off the walker and fired at Gregor and Zeb
"Look out" Gregor said
"Probes. I hate probes" Zeb said as the two lunged out of the way of the fire. And the Probe began it's retreat with Kanan firing after it and chasing it. Rex and Wolffe ran to the end of the walker too see it fleeing, at that he wished he had his blasters
"Rex" Ezra said from behind them, both of them turned to him Ezra was holding a blaster, the same one wolffe had fired on Kanan with "You gotta make it right" with that he tossed it too Rex. taking the blaster in his hands he put it up too his shoulder and got his aim and fired a single shoot shooting the probe down
"Yes" Ezra said from behind him
"Huh, nice shot" Sabine said
"Whoo hoo Rex got it" Gregor said excitedly
"Probe deserved it" Zeb said and then they all began to walk out too the probe, sabine went to check on her ship then joined them, when she got there it was dark.
"How long has this thing been watching us" Ezra asked
"Long enough" Kanan said "How's the phantom" He asked sabine
"Well, engine took a direct hit. We're not going anywhere until I can fix it." Sabine said
"Wait, you mean were stranded" Zeb said
"Yep" Rex said "And the empires on it's way"
The next morning was nerve wracking as Rex walked to the four Rebels "Here they are, the coordinates of every Republican base, Separatist installation, pirate hideout and smuggler's den in the Outer Rim." He said handing them a data card
"Plus a few Mandalorian bases that even they've forgotten about." Wolffe added in with a smile
"Thank you captain, Sure you won't come with us?"Ezra said once again trying his luck
"Yeah you're not that bad in a fight… for an older gentlemen" Zeb said Rex hated being called old. He once again denied their request as Zeb and Gregor hit each others elbows like cadets did back on kamino
"Like I said, our war's over, kid. Don't much care to get mixed up in another. Oh, and say hello to Commander Tano for me." Rex said
"But the empires on it's way and they will find you" Ezra said
"Oh we can take care of ourselves" Rex said as Kanan got on the comlink. Rex was starting to get nervous he felt as if something bad was about to happen
"Spectrum 1 too spectrum 2, going be down here a while longer, give me some good news has the empire showed up yet?" Kanan said into a comm
Rex heard a woman's voice come in response to Kanan "I've been a little busy making repairs on the ghots, but choppers been skaning so far nothing…..Star Destroyer just came out of hyperspace. Gonna power down so they can't scan me. Once I finish my repairs, I'll come get you." That meant the empire was in the system, he shared a quick glance at Wolffe and Gregor
"If they follow procedure, they'll fly search patterns based on our last confirmed position." Rex said and at that time the transmission started going off
"Or they'll call" Gregor said "Incoming Imperial transmission"
"It's for you wolffe" Rex said looking at Wolffe
"They called back? They, they never call back." Wolffe said
"This is why I don't trust clones" Kanan said
"Just get rid of them wolffe" Ezra said
"Yeah, it was my mistake. And I'll fix it." Wolffe said standing in front of the transmitter and accepted the call
"CC-3636. Commander Wolffe, is it?" the imperial on the other side said
"Yep that's me, what can I do for you sir" Wolffe said
"Please transmit your coordinates so I can investigate the Jedi" The imperial said
"What? Uh, Je Jedi? Uh, no, no. No, th there's no Jedi. Here. My, my old, uh, cybernetic eye must be acting up again. Sorry for wasting your time." Wolffe said nervously, tapping his fake eye and a image of the four rebels on the walker popped up on the screen
"This image was taken by one of our probe clearly shows you harboring known rebels. Now surrender them or be destroyed." The imperial said and the picture vanished, Rex had had enough, he pushed Wolffe out of the way and said
"If it's a fight you want, i hope you brought a better class of soldier than those….. stormtroopers"
"They serve the empire well and I will have a great many" The imperial said
"You're going to need all of them" Rex said punching the palm off his hand and ending the transmission
"I like these guys" Zeb said as they heard the sound of TIE's and the walker shook
"They found us" Sabine says
"Seams like that search pattern paid off" Ezra said
"Battle stations" Rex commanded pulling a box of weapons out, The jedi ran out too the top of the walker when rex got out he saw they were being bombed by TIE fighters. "Ugh…" He groaned
"Were sitting minocks on this thing" Ezra said climbing up a later, Rex truned and looked at him as he held a RPG.
"You think so?" Rex said truning on him comm "Wolffe Evasive manuvers"
"Copy that" Wolffe said with glee and the walker began too dodge attacks
"Hurry" Sabine said "He's comming around for another pass, the group of rebels and Gregor ran too get in position.
"Ezra protect the phantom" Kanan said stopping Ezra.
"What about the walker" Ezra says
"It can take a hit…..i think" Kanan said doubtfully Ezra jumped back over too kanan and their ship, The rebels all shot at the TIE as Rex came up too them with his RPG.
"Try shortining you're leads, you're wasting Ammo" Rex says
"You're welcome too help" Zeb says while shooting at the TIE
"Hey why spoil all the fun, we havent been shot at in year's" Gregor says
"Yeah, well it happens too us everyday" Sabine says ducking from the TIE that flew in to close.

"Ahh it's no good in this situation" Rex said, Kanan jumpped up ontop of the phantom and said

"You want the shot" Rex said smiling at Gregor as he tossed the RPG
"Love too" Gregor took the gun and went too the end of the walker and took the TIE fighter down laughing

"It's in my blood" Gregor gesturs too himself, and rex smiles.
"You know, we make a good team if we all fought together" Ezra said trying his luck again, rex smiled he was about too say something when Kanan said
"Yeah, tried that once, didnt work out so well, now if that storm gets any closer it'll ground us, Sabine we need the phantom too fly"

"Um sorry, I'm in you're seat" Ezra says a little whille later as rex walked up too him. Ezra was sitting at the nose gun. Rex decided too show him how too use it. Rex knelt behind him
"Drivers controls are over here on the left and the elevations on the right" Rex says showing him
"Really" Ezra says and Rex smiles as Ezra messes with the gun "So what was it like too fight in the Clone war"
"I dont thing the war ever got too Lothal, but i'll tell you the war was never dull, the General I fought with was one one of the greatest, I trusted him with my life more times than i can count…." Rex sighed "And I tried my best too keep that trust"

"Well we cant just leave, Rex, Wolffe, and Gregor here" Ezra says

"Looks like four" Gregor says handing the device too Rex.
"Four? How are they not falling over" Wolffe says as rex looked at them, they were impressive

"I'm glad you guys are so excited but those giant death machines are on their way too blow us too bits" Ezra says

"Oh I do love a battle, but on my terms" Rex says "Gregor, drop the Juppa we gotta get moving" Rex was sure Gregor was whining but the Juppa fell from the walker. "Wolffe turn 1 eight zero"
"Copy that" wolffe said and the walker was turned around the walkers behind them began the fire
"Kanan, i dont know how far she'll get but I think she'll fly" Sabine said
"Good enough for me" Kanan said "Zeb were going" He said into a commlink
"The empire is already on top of us" Rex said from the gun
"He's right Kanan, they'll shoot us down" Ezra says
"How will going into that storm be any better" Kanan says
"Well the storm will scrable the scanner" Sabine says "We'll all be blind"

"Alright, everybody inside" Kanan said running in, Sabine, rex and Ezra followed

"Those things are pratically impervious too blasters, ut they have one weak point in their armor, the neck" Sabine says
"One well placed shot from the main gun should destroy it" Gregor says
"That's all we might get, one shot" Rex says rubbing the back of his neck. Zeb was tapping at the scopes
"I dont know how were supose too shoot something we cant see, I dont know where the enemy is" Zeb said

"Ezra there is a walker somewhere around point five" Kanan said into a comm that linked into the helmet
"Somewhere around point five" Ezra responds "Perfect….. Targeting scops usless i cant see it" Rex and Kanan shared a look. Ezra had no idea what he was doing

"Doesnt matter, you're not going too see it with you're eyes the walker is there….. Trust yourself" Kanan said into the comm all was quiet untill they heard a energy blast and a explosion. The walker had been hit. "Wolffe theres you opening Go for it!" Kanan said, wolffe put the walker in full speed and the reamining walkers fired at them.
"Great shot kid, now get moving this is you're only chance" Rex said as he came out from inside the walker.
"What we cant leave now" Ezra says
"We have too get the information they gave us back too the rebellion" Kanan said boarding the phantom Ezra followed
"The other part of that mission was too bring Rex back with us, we cant just abandon them" Ezra says. Rex was surprised too hear that, he really wanted too go but he couldnt leave his brothrs too die.
"You're not abandoning anyone, were covering you escape, now move" Rex said, ezra returned Rex's Helmet and Rex walked back too the Canon "We're soildiors ezra this is what we were born too do" as the rebels left rex saw the Imperial walkers behind them "Wolffe bring us Around" He put his helmet on "Boys this might be it but atleast we'll go down fighting like a clone should" Rex punched the palm off his hand, he knew he would survive this, but his brothers wouldnt.
"I'm with you all the way Captain" Gregor says there was a howl from wolffe Rex aimed the Canon at the Imperial walkers as they head at them, their walker was under heavy bombardment. He returned fire of his own as the walker colapsed
"Come on wolffe it's just a scratch, keep moving forward soildior, ONWARD!" Rex said and the walker got back up, he could hear the effort was staining Wolffe who was the oldest of them all Wolffe screamed with delight when the walker started moving again.
"I'm going for the legs, all four of them" Wolffe says ramming into the legs of a imperial walker
"They've lost their minds" Rex heard from inside the walker, he smirked in response
"Ha ha!" Wolffe exclaimed happily as the walker pushhed the other but the last walker fired upon them
"We've been out flanked" Rex said turning the gun too shoot at the other walker as their own walker was lifetd up, rex attempted too shoot at the neck of the walker but the gun went out
"GREGOR! I've lost power too the main gun!" Rex says
"Yeah, I know i'm working on it captain, i'm working on it" Gregor says Rex got ontop of the Canon
"Come out and fight you cowards" Rex yelled at the iperials but they aimed directly at him "Porgeto Maximus Agies" Rex said setting up a invisable sheild that he hoped would protect him blaster fire hit the walker from the side as the phantom flew past. Rex smiled as, Kanan, Ezra and Zeb landed on top of the other walker and took control off it. "Just like the old days " Rex said the rebels started fireing at the other walker and doing damage. Rex almost fell but grabbed ahold of the gun just in time
"Wha- WHoa power restored" Gregor said Rex flung himself into the chair and shot the Walker in the neck and it wnet down. The imperials got on the speeders and sped away with one on foot. Their walker was mangeled and a wreck. Rex had too pull Wolffe out of the dirves seat from where he was laughing madly. Like he did after every battle he won.
"Looks like we live too fight another day" Rex said he and Wolffe tapping their armored forearms together
"Dont we always?" Wolffe says putting a hand on Rex's shoulder
"Well we do when we got a jedi leading us" Gregor said putting a arm around both of them the three turned and saluted the jedi.
"Wont you consider coming with us" Ezra said as they came down
"Well kid" Rex says
"He will" Wolffe and Gregor says shoving rex toward the Jedi, Rex stumbled catching him self from falling
"Wolffe, Gregor" Rex said
"Go on Cap'n, they need you more than we do" Wolffe says "We'll be fine. We have a new walker" Wolffe gestures too the standing Imperial walker
"Well I guess that settles it, I'll come" Rex says, Ezra's face lit up as a big ship with the phantom on it landed near by.
"Need any help" A green twi'lek
"I belive it's all handled" Wolffe says "Go on now rex"
"I'll miss you guys" Rex says giving his brother a hug
"Dont worry about us magic boy" Wolffe says as Kanan was talking too the Tw'lek
"Hera, There was a change of plan, Rex is coming with us" Kanan says
"Welcome too the Rebellion Captain Rex" Hera says as they all walked onto the ship
"It's my pleasure" Rex says taking a seat. The hyper space journey was short and little while later they were on the rebels main ship, he walked behind all the rebels as the Approched A togruta who he reconized as Ahsoka…. His lil'un, who wasnt so little any more. The ghost crew made way for him too walk up too her
"Commander" He said standing like a soildior at ease. She walked too him "you git old" He said
"Had too happen sometime rex" Ahsoka said with a laugh before she threw her arms around him
"I'm glad you're still alive" Rex says
"You too" Ahsoka says relesing him
"Well I wouldnt be if it wasnt for these guys" Rex said
"Thank you for trusting my freind" Ahsoka says
"It wasnt easy" Kanan said, Rex gave him a look "It's still not"
"Nothing worth doing, ever is" Ahsoka says and they all turned and walked too another room.
