Freedom

NANATSU NO TAIZAI © NAKABA SUZUKI

Synopsis: Zeldris and Gelda have finally been released to enjoy their relationship without having to hide.

Author's Note: I finally deigned to write something that my second OTP by Nanatsu no Taizai has become: the Geldris / Zelda, Gelda and Zeldris. They really captivated my heart and their recent appearances in the manga showed a dynamic too adorable and tender in both.

This one-shot has slight mention of the manga. Read it under your criteria.

Sorry for my basic English. It is not my mother tongue.

Single Chapter: Freedom

Zeldris's dark wings and Gelda's cocoon dispersed when they landed in what had once been the brand-new Edinburgh castle. The area was the same as the Ten Commandments had landed there after the breaking of his seal and that produced confusing feelings in the devil. Almost everything that had been meaningful to him three thousand years ago no longer existed.

However, it wasn't too bad.

Zeldris turned to Gelda who looked at the unusual purple structure in total silence. He was aware that his beloved was not a follower of how his clan handled himself in the past, especially in the eagerness to only take blood and kill without a real purpose.

Countless times in his clandestine meetings he had shown his desire to have more goals than just being the daughter of King Izraf, taking blood and serving his clan *.

He had promised that after the end of the war he could pursue those goals and although that word had taken a long time, he would finally achieve it.

"Gelda ..." he called her. She turned and saw him with uncertainty at what the demon smiled a little. "Now we don't have to hide"

The vampire giggled at that and extended her hand to Zeldris. He accepted and curled up under his head, resting on his neckline.

The Demon Prince enjoyed being in that position because he listened to Gelda's heart and knew that he was truly loved by someone.

"What are you thinking about?" She asked.

"Nothing and everything at once," he began. He closed his eyes, relaxing. "I spent three thousand years serving my father with the purpose of creating a peaceful world and ending that traitor, but ..."

"Nothing turned out as you expected, didn't it?" Zeldris nodded against Gelda's bust. She began stroking her hair. "Indeed nothing went as we thought, I ...

"Meliodas told me that you drowned in desolation and pain when you woke up "he commented painfully. "You preferred death when you understood our destiny, but…"The stubborn fool, looking for how to proceed. "He put the seal back, waiting for the right moment"

The vampire's only response was to cling more to his beloved who imitated the gesture. Zeldris sighed and both will remain in a pleasant silence.

Minutes later, Gelda replied.

"Meliodas knew that one day we could be together without having to hide. He didn't know exactly how, but, just as he didn't give up on Elizabeth and her curse, he wasn't going to give up on you either"

Zeldris let out a slight laugh.

"You're right. It has a great willpower"

"There are also many good things that a certain person does not want to tell you yet," Gelda pointed out in a joking tone. He felt Zeldris stiffen against her. "Zel ..."

"I asked you not to tell Meliodas anything about it."

"And I won't, well…" She began to hesitate intentionally. Zeldris looked up and saw her with some fear. "What?"

"You won't, right?"

The famed executioner of the Demon clan had a genuine worried face that made Gelda pull a clean laugh out of his mouth. His beloved was endearing in an original way without intending to.

"Don't be silly, you know I won't tell," he replied. He moved it again, close to her. "Although you have matters pending with him" The demon grumbled negatively against his partner. "Some will have to face Meliodas".

"Right now you are my priority," Zeldris replied clearly.

"The only priority I see you, demon lord, is to have your face buried in my neckline and not talk to me directly," the blonde objected. Zeldris looked up and looked at her with mock annoyance, hiding his face again later. "You are a fool"

"I know"

Silence reigned again and they stayed there, enjoying their much acclaimed freedom.
