Chapter 1
This is Berk. A sluggish community of Vikings and Dragons. It's been 6 years since the Great Dragon War ended and 2 years after the Dragon Trade War dissolved. Most of all, it's been an easy ride. All except for the fact that there are a few who still believe in the Dragon War way; like villains as Drago Bludvist. Though Drago died when the Bewilderbeast dove underwater, we are still on high alert. All except for the twins, of course.
"Would you cut it out!" yelled the angry voice of a person both feared and hated (very much) on Berk. "Why? It's Loki Day!" cackled another voice of a person who was also feared and hated on the Isle. Suddenly, a horde of Terrible Terrors flooded the sky, ruining the view, as Snotlout shot up on his Monstrous Nightmare, Hookfang, followed closely behind by Ruffnut and Tuffnut on their two-headed Zippleback, Barf and Belch. "Could you stop following me!?" Snotlout cried. Suddenly, he started to slip slowly off his saddle. "Whoa! What did you do to this thing!?" "Just put a slab of Yak Butter on it, nothing else!" Tuff called back.
Snotlout slid off the saddle and was only saved by Hookfang biting down on the end of his pants and throwing him back on. Unfortunately, the twins had another plan on their sleeves. Throwing quite pungent fish at Snotlout, they finally get him to slide off again and Hookfang dives down to save him.
On a cliff watching this come out is the chief of the Vikings. Looking up at his father's statue, the chief sighs and walks away from the hilarious sight while Snotlout falls off a third time due to more smothering of pungent fish. Placing on his armor which allowed him to fly, he jumped. He glided above the small houses of Berk. He finally came upon a tiny one at the edge of the town. There his father used to live. Now it was a memorial, such as the statue. He did not live in it. He lived in a different house. One much bigger and glorious with a den for his dragon, Toothless, and a kitchen for his wife, Astrid.
The chief flew to the docks and came to the ships. He had heard some news of something going on in the Northern Markets and would sail there without his dragon. He didn't want Toothless to get hurt. It was what happened the last time they went outside the Archipelago. That and they had some amazing adventures. Still, this would turn out to be a dangerous mission. Suddenly, Toothless came flying down onto the ship, ridden by Astrid. "You weren't going to leave Toothless behind, were you?" she asked. The chief didn't respond. "What is it, Hiccup?" Astrid asked the chief with his name. "News of a troublemaker has reached us. I have to go see who it is." "And why doesn't that permit Toothless to go along with you?" "Because it's in the Northern Markets! I don't want to go there, not with Toothless. He could get in trouble. We could get in trouble. He has to stay here." "No, he doesn't. He's going. He can protect you. And, if you refuse, I'll go myself."
Hiccup had no choice. He had to take his dragon. So he did. And they sailed silently on the ship, awaiting their destination. Finally, there was the docks in the distance. After twelve hours, they were there. And they were in ruins.
