In this dimension, the story takes place in the house, the house that is taken place near the ocean. Our character we are going to follow is named Robert Hopkins, 21 years young fisherman who once was a timberman. He lives alone because he likes being left alone, he never wears a belt so his pants do not fit that well with him. He always enjoys sunshine that shines through the window that wakes him up and looking at this amazing great sea shining by the Sun. In recent days he couldn't catch a single fish for some bizarre reason. So he's not in a good condition for living. He always stays awake in late times when most of the young man falls asleep. He stays awake to work, a desperate attempt of even getting one more fish, but those attempts sometimes led to his near death. That does not stop him from trying again and again, people say if there is boat roaming around the sea at midnight, it's good ol' Rob trying to kill himself again, and this is where our story begins.
Robert was sleeping at his bed tired out like always. Well, this time too much because there was no such thing as sunshine shining through the window to wake him up. What woke him up was this burst of red burning light that shined at the sky for a split second, Robert assumed that was sunshine. He rubbed his eyes and yawns opening his mouth like he is swallowing a big rock without chewing. He looks outside, he was confused extremely with no sign of sun. He stood up and started to dress up, his body was covered with bruises and scars. He walks outside dressed in his usual working clothe and hat that looked like it's from the 1800s, and founds this giant humongous iceberg just floating, covering the sight of glorious sunshine. Robert's eyes got wide and walk to the edge of land that leads to the ocean to take a good look at this iceberg. There were also a bunch of people looking at this iceberg in wonder. "...Well, I've been through a lot in my 71 years of fishing.", Robert turns around and sees a one-eyed old man that he knew who he was, old man's name was Howard, he was probably the oldest fisherman that lives in this place. "The sea is like a blazing fire during the summer, but now comes the iceberg. Well the world must be ending my friends" Robert nods silently, he is not a talker compared to another fisherman. This Iceberg looked pretty smooth looking to be called an iceberg, and the sun was shining around the iceberg, like an eclipse at the sky. Hours passed, most of the fishermen stayed in their home thinking sun "disappearing" as a bad sign. Except for our hard-working Robert, some fisherman tried to stop him from going out to the sea, but Robert ignored them and got in the boat, and fisherman calls him out again as good ol' Rob going out trying to kill himself. Hours passed and he couldn't catch even a single fish like usual, he growls in frustration and throws his hat to the great sea. He stops knowing the boat was starting to shake, he looked around if it was because of a little wave, but no sea itself was vibrating. Robert's eyes started to shake as he started to turn the boat around to go back to the land. Then this huge screech sounding like it's from some kind of animal shook the entire ocean making a huge wave that caused to flip the entirety of Robert's boat upside down.
Robert finds himself coughing washed up to shore, he started to shiver and looked around, he tried to stand up, but he realized he couldn't as he felt nothing to his leg. He started to scream in terror and started to call for help. There was no answer what so ever. Also, he realized, the iceberg was completely missing, like it wasn't even there from the first place. He turned his head around to see if he was close to his house. Then he finds something, his eyes wides up as he could not believe it. The place he was living at was destroyed like it was hit by a huge huge storm, but it wasn't a storm. From the distance he could see a figure that was so big and so tall it went through clouds, The creature's skin was white and smooth like a block of ice. He could barely see it's creature's head, but he can see it's big black eyes. This four-legged with one tail god-like creature was simply walking, that demolished the place he could've called it was home. Robert falls, stunned and shocked at what his home has become. He started to close his eyes, what he could remember before passing out was the creature's terrifying roar that shook the entire ocean.
The news stated the town that was called "Cloverfield", built by the Japanese company was demolished by this odd creature, and it stated they tried everything to kill it resulting in complete failure. Over one hundred twenty thousand died and numbers are still growing even to this day.
