Before I begin, this story is not part of my 'Monarchs of Earth' storyline. It's a oneshot I thought of making a long time ago.

Enjoy, and please R&R!

Unnamed Planet

Thanos and the Black Order walked through the freezing wind of the icy planet. They saw the massive energy spikes that their ship picked up, and decided to investigate it in case it was an Infinity Stone.

The source was only about a mile in front of them. Thanos turned to Corvus Glaive.

"Begin digging," he said.

Corvus nodded and pressed a button on his wrist. The ship they came in activated a special energy weapon that melted the ice away. Within minutes, the ice was gone, and revealed a remarkable sight.

A massive creature was frozen in the glacier. It's golden scales glittered in the faint light.

Thanos didn't say anything as he jumped into the hole, plunging his double-bladed weapon into the beast's hide. He soon realized that he had made a terrible mistake.

His surroundings shook violently. Thanos quickly jumped out of the hole and rejoined his 'children.' The ice cracked and rippled as the creature of times past freed itself from it's icy prison. Thanos and the Black Order stared in awe and mild horror at the beast that rose from the glacier.

A tail uncurled as it rose, the spikes on the end straightening and cracking the ice that had formed over them. Another tail rose, violently shaking like the tail of a rattlesnake. A draconic head appeared, followed by another, and a third.

The heads were covered in golden scales, and they were all decorated with frills of horns. They snarled as they set their eyes on those that woke them.

"Thanos?" Proxima Midnight said.

The center head growled as it raised it's wings out of the glacier. The boulders of ice make tremulous quakes as they landed. The dragon screamed viciously at the Black Order and their leader.

"Go!" Thanos yelled, realizing the immediate threat.

The dragon kept up with them easily, snaking it's left head in front of the retreating warriors. It sniffed at the bulky figure of Cull Obsidian, only to be reprimanded by the center head. The left head whirred in acknowledgement as it rose up, it's neck glowing yellow. The other heads did the same.

"Oh, shi-"

Before Corvus could finish, the dragon unleashed fiery bolts of yellow lightning from each of it's mouths. The bolts burned away at the Black Order, with only Cull Obsidian and Thanos left to fight the beast.

"Rain fire!" Thanos commanded.

The ship complied and fired blue bolts of laser energy at the golden dragon. The dragon screeched in anger and fired it's lightning breath at the ship. The ship, powerless and severely damaged, fell from the sky, landing on top of the dragon.

Cull and Thanos were saved from death by the body of the dragon as it took the full force of the collision. The two warriors looked up and saw the dragons eyes closed.

"It must be dead," Thanos said.

A yellow eye stared at them, the snakelike pupil narrowing upon seeing the survivors. The head growled as it rose, the ship sliding off it's golden body easily. The other heads also rose.

The heads glared at Cull and Thanos, their heads raised in an act of dominance. They snarled as they readied their lightning attack once more.

Before they could attack, however, a massive blue bolt struck it in the shoulder. Another ship flew down to confront the monster. Thanos tried to tell it to turn around, but it was no use.

The dragon screamed as it's lightning breath poured out at the ship, rendering it lifeless in an instant. The threat gone, the three heads turned back to face Thanos.

Thanos was becoming weak with fear. He was powerless to fight this creature, and it knew it. The dragon seemed to grin sadistically at his plight.

In a single movement, the dragon's wing came down upon the Mad Titan. Content that he was either dead or dying, the dragon flew away to a nearby volcano, it's golden scales protecting it from the scalding lava.

Thanos lay on the ice, his life slowly fading away. With the last of his energy, he turned to see the dragon raise it's wings as it screamed in victory. The sounds of it's screech echoed in Thanos' head like a bell.

Finally, the Titan fell asleep, never to wake up. Now, everyone would know that Thanos, the Mad Titan, was killed by a three-headed dragon, a dragon known by only one name.

Ghidorah, the Three Headed Terror.

After writing this, I feel like it could very well become a full-fledged story in and of itself. What do you guys think?
