Hey how are all you dwellers of the internet doing? I hope good! The premise of this story is zetsu finding a child and deciding to raise it. This will most likely be a one shot, i dont think my writing is good enough to create a series. Anyway, enjoy the read!
Chapter One
Zetsu was surveying the ruins that used to be some outer housing of the village hidden in the leaf. Buildings were crumbling all around him, in the distance he heard the clang of kunai, screams of anger and pain, and above it all the roar of the Nine tailed fox. Now mind you Zetsu didn't need to survey the village, Obito's job should be completed to his satisfaction; however, if there is one thing that the thousand year old being knew, is that you should enjoy when things go your way.
Like a pile of dominos, this carefully conducted plan of his was finally beginning to gain traction. His goal, no, his mother is finally within sight. Suddenly he noticed a weak chakra presence in the rubble of a building beside him, a child? Interested he approached and saw a black haired child. This was when his life changed, this chance encounter, it all stated with one word from the child in front of him.
"Dad?"

Dad? This child thinks he is its dad? Zetsu knew he only had the form of a human, he had none of the details. He looked like a shadow, and that is something he prides himself on. He is mothers shadow, controlling things in the background so mother can be revived. Nothing will stop his goal, manipulating Madara and now Obito is just part of his plan.
The rubble fallen around the child, and the bloody mark on its forehead told Zetsu this child most likely is either concussed or experiencing amnesia. Not wanting to deal with this situation and an obviously confused child he starts his leave. Shinobi should be heading to this area soon looking for survivors, he doesn't want to risk one thousand years of planning going down the drain by being seen.
That was until the child decided to follow him, most likely the child was portraying fractured memories of their family onto Zetsu, thus giving them an instinctual urge to be around him. This is why Zetsu found humans annoying, they were flawed from birth and only by becoming one with mother, by becoming a white zetsu clone will these humans become a step closer to perfect. Mothers goals will be carried out, and its his job to tip the first domino.
Deciding to just out pace the child turned out to be a bad idea. He decided to leave his white zetsu clone with nagato in order to relieve his suspicion. So left with no other choice he would need to leave the village on foot. Now Zetsu would never describe himself as fast, but he was stealthy. So as he made it past the village barriers he realised the child was stumbling behind him. The child would not stop following him. It followed him out of Konoha, out of Konohas surround forrest, and towards the border of fire country.
As Zetsu had no escape through the ground, he didnt mind the child following him. It was a source of entertainment to see the child stumbling behind him. That was untill he noticed the child was running on fumes, the child would stop. And they would stop talking to him, and calling him their biological parent. He was beginning to feel frustrated when he felt it. White zetsu had arrived.
As the white zetsu rose out of the ground, ignoring the child's surprise, Zetsu attached himself to the clone. Their chakra networks connected, he took over for firing the bodies nerves and muscles and he gained absolute control. Giving one last glance at the child he started sinking into the ground. If he felt sad as the child seemed alarmed and started running towards him he ignored it.

When a few days passed, Zetsu got an urge to see the child again. To see what became of them, did they starve in the forrest, or did someone find them? When he arrived at the location he saw it. A hole. A hole with blood mixed in the dirt, and finger lines within the soil. How had the child dug the whole to this size? They should be dead, but instead they where passed out in the centre of the hole. He denied it at the time, but Zetsu was feeling compassion to the child.
Deciding to heal the child using a simple medical jutsu Zetsu approached them, It was quick work. Healing some damaged tissue, no broken bones, and slightly increasing the childs red blood cell count. Zetsu satisfied with his work, and happy he did all he felt like doing for the child turned around. But as he went to step away, he felt something grab his feet. He froze.
"Y- you came back, Dad!"
The child was awake.
The child was awake.
Should he leave the child alone again?
What happens if by seeing him, the child decided to dig themselves to death. Zetsu would never admit it, but the child had grown on him, and now he felt responsible for it. So when he picked up the child and merged back into the ground, he told himself it was to take the child to a nearby village. But as all nearby villages passed him by, and he realised he was arriving at his main base he realised it was too late. He was attached to this child, at least until his mothers plan came to be, until the child became a white zetsu.
But as the time passed in the underground cavern Madara created his plans, Zetsu realised he was getting more attached to the child. When the child got injured he got worried. If the child was sad so was he. Deciding it didn't make him human, this didn't make him weak, after all this was only until mother was revived. When the time came zetsu would sever ties with the child. How hard could that be?
His plans came to fruition. The Akatsuki was gathering more members, and it all seemed like mothers revival was just around the corner when Zetsu realised. He didn't want to lose this child- he didn't want to lose the one he started to call his daughter.
But Zetsu knew deep down it would take more than a change of heart to stop his plans now, after all the dominos where already falling, and it may be too late to stop it. To save his daughter.
The End.
So I don't know if you can tell (you probably can) but im not a very good story writer. This has just been on my head for a while and had to get it out, please leave a review or PM if you feel like telling me how you felt about it. Cheers~
