Chapter 1 - Past
The three fairies were in their office, just after the final bell rang indicating the school day was over for the children. The students had just taken a test in enchanted magic class today, they had begun marking them. Merryweather had gotten bored of the silence and thought of something to talk about.
"Remember when we would teach Rose about this and she would just blank out?" merryweather said, flora looks up from the paper and looks in merryweathers direction.
"I do, she would get distracted by one of her animal friends" flora replies, she looks at merryweather quizzingly before speaking again "why do you ask dear?" she asks.
Merryweather looks back at the quiz she was marking when she answered. "I've just been thinking about it, the three of us have been through so much...I sometimes wonder how we're still friends sometimes" she answered
"We have been through a lot" fauna speaks up, her eyes not leaving the paper she was adding corrections on.
"I suppose so...oh remember when rose was about 10, she would rest her arm on merryweathers head because she knew it made her mad" flora says chuckling, merryweather gives her a light glare
"I don't need that glare, It's not my fault you're short merryweather" flora says defensively.
"Or that time merryweather let Rose climb a tree because she knew you wouldn't let her." Fauna says, switching to a new test to grade.
"Do you remember when we first started doing the most advanced spells there is, flora accidently made green vines go all over the house?" merryweather asks,fauna who nods while covering her mouth to refrain from laughing.
"How about that time you two bumped into each other in the air and fell down a well" flora says laughing lightly
"Oh I remember, that really hurt" merryweather states, finishing marking the last test in her pile.
The fairies finished marking and put the tests away before leaving to go home, at this time it was about 6pm. On the way home they continued to talk about memories of their friendship.
"Remember when we first met merryweather she had bangs?" fauna asked flora, merryweather shudders at the memory of it.
"Yeah, but remember how you used to be so shy you would barely talk to us?" flora adds
"I remember that! Quiet and timid fauna!" merryweather exclaims
"What about how untamed flora's curly hair was" fauna mentions smiling at flora.
"How dare you even mention that" flora says dramatically as they reach the house. They enter the house and go to change into comfy clothing, they knew tonight they were going to talk about stories of each other a lot.
They get dinner going and sit on the couch in the living room, getting comfortable.
"Remember how you two would fight over if rose would wear pink or blue" fauna mentions
"Good thing the dress was Blue" merryweather says
"No it was pink" flora argues
"Here we go again" fauna says, getting up to check on the food.
Little time skip
After dinner they continued to talk.
"I remember, before we met you merry fauna's shyness was so bad I had to talk for her" flora says
"Wait really?" merryweather asks kinda surprised, looking at fauna
"Yes actually, you two really opened me up" fauna admits her cheeks lightly flushed.
"When I first met flora, she wasn't as...calm as she is now" fauna says
"Yeah, I had some anger issues" flora amits
"But..it wasn't her fault people constantly hurt her" fauna adds
"How long were you two even friends before me?" merryweather asks
"We met you about 2 years after we met dear" fauna answers
"Flora changed that fast?"
"Fauna's a pretty good therapist" flora states
Merryweather cuddles herself into fauna, it was late now and she was getting a little tired.
" you can go to bed if you're tired merry" fauna says softly, petting merryweathers hair
"No, I wanna stay up with you two" merryweather refused. She was much younger than flora and fauna so they often babied merryweather, not intentionally it was in their nature.
"Ok then" fauna replies letting merryweather cuddle her side.
"Now, oh the first time fauna ever spoke up was during a battle" flora starts
"She tried to talk it through…..and it worked" she finished
