Rain entered the cave and went searching for a pokémon. Preferrably a Rhyhorn, so he can evolve it into a Rhyperior.
He found one after a few hours, searching in the cave. It was a Rhyhorn in all its glory.
Plucking off Pidgeot's Pokéball off his belt, he threw it infront of the Rhyhorn, getting it's attention. Came out from the pokéball, a bright light ingulfed the surrounding area in atleast a 10 meter radius. After the light died down, it revealed the newly-evolved Pidgeot of Rain. It made a loud battle cry while stretching out it's wings. Kind of like, a bird starting to flap its wings.
"Pidgeot! This is the time for your first battle after evolving! Are you ready?" Rain would ask the eager Pidgeot. The Rhyhorn got in a battle stance while the bird pokémon nodded its head.
"Pidgeot, Twister!" Rain would command.
Pidgeot would make a Tornado and threw it at the Rhyhorn. The Rhyhorn was a big and heavy Pokémon so it couldn't get out of the way and was hit. Seemingly, it didn't do much damage.
"Guess being a Rock and Ground Type makes you sturdy.. anyways, barrage of Air Slashes! Pronto!" Rain commanded while clapping his hands. A bit classy, one could say.
Pidgeot threw atleast 10 Air Slashes. Well 5, since 1 Air Slash would fire 2 slashes of air. The Rhyhorn was hit 5 times of the 10 Air Slashes. Why? Because the Rhyhorn used Rock Blast and in landed a rare 5 times on the Air Slashes, nullifying it.
The Rhyhorn was scratched but still good and rearing to go.
"Uhh yeah... Flying Type moves are really resistant to him... umm.. ok.. oh yeah! Steel Wing! Haha forgot about that move." Rain would command a little embarrased while Pidgeot would sweatdrop before making her wings glow and attack with a Steel Wing.
Recognising the attack as an Steel Wing, the Rhyhorn made a noticeable smirk. Rain saw the smirk and said, "Why are you smirking?!"
Pidgeot connected her Steel Wing to the Rhyhorn, the Rhyhorn groaned in pain but immediately used Counter. A fucking egg move.
"WHAT THE FUCK?! A FUCKING EGG MOVE THAT IS COUNTER ON A RARE POKEMON?! FUCK! PIDGEOT!" Rain screamed in shock and with worry for his Pidgeot.
When the dust cleared, he saw Pidgeot on the ground with bruises on her body. And the Rhyhorn was still just starting to get bruised.
"Is that fucking Rhyhorn released by a trainer or breeder?" Rain wondered to himself before shifting his attention on his comrade.
"Are you okay, girl?" Rain would ask as his Pidgeot stood up and started to fly again and make an even louder battle cry from the one she did when she first got released from her Pokéball. She was determined to win against this strong opponent. It will be one step closer her and her master's goal on challenging the Kanto League.
"Alright, use Twister!" Rain commanded.
Pidgeot was expected to make a tornado to throw at the opposing pokémon but this time, because of Pidgeot's will power and determination, she wrapped the rock and ground type pokémon in a fierce wind and flying it up to the sky. Wait. This was Hurricane attack! The hurricane attack made the Heavy Rhyhorn fly in the air scaring it. It flew around the air before being threw down on the ground landing on it's side.
"Quick! While he is on his side, Steel Wing!" Rain commanded
Pidgeot made her wings glow and turn into steel before attacking with it. It landed on the opposing Pokémon's stomach, making it groan loudly in pain from the very effective move.
The Rhyhorn got back to its feet and stood up again. Thanks to Pidgeot's attack, the momentum rolled him over on his stomach. Even though it was painful, it still helped him.
Rhyhorn being angry by the Steel Wing, fired a Rock Blast at Pidgeot.
"Pidgeot, try and dodge as many as you can!" Rain commanded.
Pidgeot flew up almost reaching the cave's high ceiling but was almost directly above Rhyhorn too. Rhyhorn fired 3 Rock Blasts and all of 'em were dodged. Though, it backfired as the rocks where the Rock Blasts hit was returned back to the Rhyhorn. Hitting him on his face and body, almost covering him up in rubble.
The Rhyhorn would use Drill Run, to get itself out of the rubble. He then proceeded to use more Rock Blasts at the flying Pidgeot since it can't do a drill run at the air.
"Twi- Hurricane those rocks and throw them back at 'em while its being hit Steel Wing back and forth!" Rain commanded with a strategy that hopes to weaken the Rhyhorn by alot.
Rhyhorn fired Rock Blasts but it got sucked up by Pidgeot's Hurricane. After collecting alot of Rocks due to Rhyhorn not stopping the Rock Blasts, the rocks all fell hitting Rhyhorn all over his body. His body was now becoming bruised and battered as more and more rocks fell. Finally, it stopped to see a Rhyhorn with Rocks all near him and panting with bruises all over its body.
"Alright.. it's on its final legs! Charge up a Sky Attack!" Rain commanded as Pidgeot flew high in the air, charging up a Sky Attack, her strongest attack.
The Rhyhorn starts to charge up a Dragon Rush but seconds before it can run, the draconic energy exploded, and affected the Rhyhorn by doing it some damage.
"Wait what?! Dragon Rush? Another egg move. You must have been a breeder's Pokémon or just had strong parents..." Rain said with a soft smile. Softly saying that last part.
"Pidgeot, Sky Attack. Please." Rain commanded for the final before Pidgeot charged at the panting and Injured Rhyhorn.
The attack connected and made some smoke. Once the smoke cleared, it revealed a fainted Rhyhorn and a Pidgeot infront of the fallen Rhyhorn, on the ground, with wings stretched out, it made a battle cry signalling her triumph for her hard work. She was bruised and panting after, but that was just about it.
Rain smiled at his Pidgeot and pulled out a pokéball from his pocket. Enlarging it, he threw it at the fainted Rhyhorn.
The ball rolled 3 times before a 'click' nouse could be heard. Walking up to the Pokéball, Rain grabbed it and released the Rhyhorn while also signalling his Pidgeot to come over.
Pulling out a revive and 2 max potions, he gave a max potion to his Pidgeot and another one to his newly captured Rhyhorn, but not before giving it a revive.
"Hey Rhyhorn. I'm guessing your a male. I'm your new trainer, Rain. Hope we can become good friends." Rain said as he petted the heavy pokémon.
The Rhyhorn nodded at the mention of his gender and growled softly. Accepting its defeat and new master.
"Alright, this is Pidgeot." Rain said pointing to Pidgeot in which she waved at the new member with her wings while cooing. The Rhyhorn eventually growled back as a respones to it.
"Anyways, you will have much more time later during training to get to know each other." Rain said as he returned both Pokèmon.
Well there it is! My first one-shot and story back. I don't know if I will continue the other books just yet. but I am aiming to be a writer right now and doing novels. Anyways, thanks for reading! May do more in the future.
