The chime of the school bell is heard throughout the school, allowing students to pack up and go to home. I was going to walk with a friend home, and I haven't seen them since a week ago! I can't wait to see them again.

As I make my way toward the stairs, I see a crowd bunching up in front of my use-to-be homeroom. I heard murmurs about the sport festival. This was bound to be interesting!

I make my way through the crowd and see a familiar purple haired student in front of a student with red eyes a shade lighter than my own red eyes.

"... Consider this a declaration of war," the purple hair boy finished.

Well, that wasn't very cash money of you.

Okay, just maybe it was.

The first year blonde seemed to agree it wasn't very cash money of the purple bush student. In fact, he looked ready to kill. Huh? I wonder how he got in with that attitude?

I make my way to my purple haired friend and wrap my arm around his shoulders, with a hint of dissatisfaction from the realization of us now having the same height. I found it funny how he flinched from my touch.

"Eh, picking a fight already in the first semester? What ever happened to the little purple bush that would let me do all the fighting and have this icy stare toward your enemies?" I ask.

My friend flinched and turned his head towards me.

"But because you are now a big boy, I will only assist you," I whispered so only he could hear.

I finally turn towards the blonde and see he is walking away. "Sorry for the inconvenience."

I expected at least a grunt to answer me but all I got was silence. I guess he didn't want an apology. I turned toward the rest of the class and repeat my line to them and became happier when they responded. I then turn towards the crowd. "Come on, I think we all have something better to do than flock around a hero course class."

Apparently that made the group disband and disperse into smaller groups to head to wherever. I just realized how dramatic this year is going to be if this happened in only the second week of school.

I tighten my hold on my purple friend and turn towards him. I smile at him, hoping to hide my feelings of how tall he has gotten, and I ask, "So... how have you been?"
