Hexagon

Summary – The Power Rangers were there to protect Angel Grove, but not everyone sees it that way. Some people see them as a problem that needs to be solved, that needs to be moderated and regulated. Some of the rangers agree with it, for the safety of the citizens, some don't, and it tears the team—many ranger teams—apart.

A/N: So, if you couldn't tell, I was inspired to do this from the MCU, specifically with CA:CW and Hexagon. But it's an idea I've always been interested in because of the way that the people of the city the Power Rangers are in respond to the rangers…but not everyone might. So, here's the prologue for a first chapter, as per usual for me, lol, and I hope you enjoy the idea.

General Norquist practically trembled with rage, an unusual sight for the usually calm, cool, and collected man.

But he couldn't sit still as NASADA was being ransacked and shut down by the same government agents that had allowed the place to open so many years ago. That had worked with him on certain missions that aided the city, let alone the entire state of California, if not the entire United States. And all that work, all that respect was being torn apart by Agent Chris Norwood and the rest of his team as they ransacked the Control Room of NASADA.

Agent Norwood turned back to General Norquist, who watched him with the steely eyed glare that only a man who had seen many battles in his life—personal and professional—could give. Let alone to a man who he used to know as a friend. But Agent Norwood was just following orders, as he was told. Just as General Norquist has been doing with his plans for space travel, exploration, contact with those he found, and the few times they worked with the Power Rangers.

Those few times turned to team ups over the years…

All of that was being torn apart right in front of him.

"All you have to do to stop this, is tell me where the Power Rangers are," Agent Norwood said. General Norquist continued to look at him with defiance. He took in a deep breath to steady himself, stared back at him. "Then all of this will be over. Well," he shrugged. "This part of it would be over. I know you know who they are, where they are…"

"I'm not going to give them up," General Norquist replied. "Not to you, not to anyone."

"Even if it means everything you've ever worked for is destroyed right in front of you." Agent Norwood shook his head. He reached out and patted General Norquist on the shoulder. "I've already admired that about you, my friend. You're the most stubborn person I know. But your stubbornness is what's always going to hold you back."

"Better than my greed carrying me forward," General Norquist replied. His mustache twitched, the only thing now showing his rage as he continued to hold himself firm. "There are others like me…Captain Mitchel…Commander Stanton…it's going to take a lot more than this to take us down."

Agent Norwood looked at his old friend for a long moment, the rest of his agents continuing to push General Norquist's agents out of the way to continue seizing everything that was now, per the orders that Agent Norwood pushed General Norquist's face upon his arrival, exclusive property of the United States. Then he licked his lips and moved closer to General Norquist. His eyes were kind, filled with hurt, hurt that he had to do this to a friend.

"If you know where the Power Rangers are, we need you to contact them immediately." Agent said. He let out a breath, looked away, and when he looked back at General Norquist, the hurt was gone. Replaced by indignation. "There are some things we need to discuss with them." With that, he swept out of the Control Room with the rest of his silent agents.

General Norquist watched them leave, looked around his trashed base of operations, and shook his head in dismay.

A/N: First Shattered Gird and now Hexagon. I bet you didn't expect me to tackle that project but here we are! Let me know what you think!
