The Avengers In High School
Hi everyone! Short one shot on what the Avengers would be like if they were in high school. Please review. Feedback is cherished.
Disclaimer: I do not own Marvel. Shocker, right?
So, you know how there are cliques, right? Well, we have those here, your jocks, cheerleaders, nerds, the usual. Except one group. They're a mixture. And they're the ones I'll talk you through first.
First off. The jocks of that group. Steve Rogers and Thor Odinson. They're on the school football team. They could be in a clique with the jocks, but they don't. Steve Rogers. He doesn't have a girlfriend, but is really sweet and polite. All the teachers love him. He doesn't get the best grades, but he passes, and tries his best. Then, Thor. He isn't too bright, and only knows his way on the football field. Best player on the team though.
Next, the resident geeks or nerds. Tony Stark and Bruce Banner. Polar opposites, other than their love for science. Stark is egotistical, and you've probably heard of him. Son of Howard Stark, has a big head, but he is a child genius. He specialises in physics, engineering, maths, industrial design and computer engineering. Just never say that to his face, he doesn't need any more self confidence. The teachers hate him. Detest him. He's a smart aleck and has no sense of respect. His father ignores him at home, so it's okay to say they don't have the best relationship. Bruce is, as I mentioned beforehand, the opposite. Banner is shy, quiet, and is talented in physics, biology, chemistry, maths and computer engineering. The teachers like him well enough, and he tends to not get in anyone's way. He has a temper, but he usually manages to control it. They are called the 'science bros.'
Then, the cheerleaders. Jane Foster and Pepper Potts. They are your typical overachievers. Both of them are in the cheerleading squad, and Jane is Thor's girlfriend. She is excellent in physics, chemistry and astronomy, aspiring to become an astrophysicist. Pepper is in a large number of extracurriculars, with a decent grade, an average of A's and B's with the occasional C. She is Tony's girlfriend, and has an ability to put up with him. Pepper is also the leader of the School Government and Debate Club.
After those girls, archery wiz Clint Barton. He passes each subject, other than math, his mortal enemy. Clint is best friends with Natasha Romanoff, who's next. He's the only one who she usually talks to, and the only person who could make her-heaven forbids, laugh. Clint is, as said before, incredible at archery, and has never missed a target. He is on the school archery team, the leader no less. PE is the only subject he ever gets A's in. Clint's dad left him when he was young, so he lives at home with his mom, and his older brother, Barney is in college.
Finally, your typical loner. You know that one person at each school who talks to no one? That's Natasha Romanoff. She used to have no friends til Clint took her under his wing. They're inseparable since. Natasha is the most well rounded of the group, and unlike everybody else, doesn't dabble in a specific area of expertise, maintaining A's in each class. She's fluent in English, Russian, Italian, French and Chinese. Natasha also used to dance ballet, and do gymnastics, and is a seasoned fighter. She also knows how to use most weapons. Her parents died when she was young, so she was put in an orphanage, and from there, escaped, using her parent's money to buy an apartment in New York, where she lives by herself. No one knows this though, other than Director Fury, Director (not principal) of SHIELD High.
Mr. Coulson teaches American history, and is obsessed with American war heroes. Never ask him about them, unless you're prepared for an hour talk on every American war hero in history. Trust me, I'm speaking from experience. Just don't. Also never criticise any of these heroes, unless you're ready for a two hour lecture on the importance of these people. I've witnessed it.
Maria Hill's our PE. Never talk about her behind her back, unless you want her to challenge you to a fight, and in which during that fight she wins in the matter of seconds. She's strict, but not unreasonable. Best to stay on her good side. You do not want her to hold a grudge against you, and Maria can think of some pretty creative punishments.
Lastly, Nicholas Fury. The staff call him Nick. He's the principal, and can be quite nice if he likes you, or see's potential. He has a soft spot for Natasha, sort of see's her as the daughter he never had, but absolutely detests Stark. God knows how many detention's that guy has served. Never call him Nicholas, or Nick, for that matter. Tony always does it, and he always achieves in pissing Fury off. The students just refer to him as Fury.
And who am I? Peter Parker, part of the school newspaper. At your service.
