"Purchase of a Hero"
Flash Naa was walking down the streets of Coruscant. It was the central planet of the Empire. He looked down to see a lost credit chip. It was worth twenty-five credits. As he picked it up, he was teleported to Tatooine with the snap of Darth Vader's fingers. He landed in the dirt. After a nap, he entered the Night Bar. A woman was serving drinks to some Wookiees. Her name was Val Varge. Flash Naa walked up to the bar. They got to talking. He ordered a meal and his favorite holovid. An R2 unit was there. He sat down with the Wookiees and watched the holovid.
Afterwards, a Gamorian entered the bar. He had a blaster and was high on death stick. His name was Gamor. He was the pride of his people. Flash Naa defended the bar in telling him to not ever use death stick. Meanwhile, a TIE fighter pilot was requisitioning a stock light freighter from someone. Flash Naa, Val Varge and Gamor decided to take it back. They ran at the pilot, firing blasters. The pilot put up a good fight but ultimately died. The team boarded the stock light freighter naming it Lone Star. Suddenly, the TIE fighter belonging to the pilot launched towards them. Val Varge quickly ran to the ship's blaster cannon. The TIE fighter was getting closer. And, at the last second, its guts were splattered all over the Lone Star. They launched into the sky.
Gamor spotted a 3PO unit attempting to communicate with a busted landspeeder. He wanted it. They landed. They landed right on the landspeeder, crushing it. The 3PO unit tried to run, but Gamor claimed it for his own. They entered orbit. Flash Naa was at the controls. Val Varge had never seen space before. Gamor was just getting off his death stick kick. The team in the damaged stock light freighter decided to live out their lives at Cloud City. They entered hyperspace.
Travelling through hyperspace, they received a communication from a Hutt. The Hutts demanded that the Lone Star be returned to its rightful owner. They were told to change course for Dantooine. They had no choice but to do this.
There, they found a fleet of scout ships. The Lone Star attracted attacking TIE fighters. Flash Naa changed course to a nearby gas cloud. He dumped the Hutts' cargo upon entering it to make it look like they had been destroyed. Inside, they could see another stock light freighter. It was damaged. One was inside. Her name was Sato. The ship was called Ugly One. Sato and her father were transporting credits to the Rebellion when they discovered Imperials. He made the Imperials believe the ship was destroyed by jettisoning their fuel and igniting it. He was successful but badly burned. Upon hearing the story, the Lone Star crew chose to complete the mission. They moved the credits from the Ugly One to the Lone Star. Sato's father was also moved to a more respectable location. They emerged from the gas cloud their fastest. Swarmed by more TIE fighters, they left the Empire in the dust of their wake.
They arrived at Corellia. A rebel base was hidden there. After delivering the credits to General Madine, they were invited to a meal. There, they were asked if they wanted to join the Rebellion. It was promised that their debt to the Hutts would be paid off if they did. In this way, their hands were tied. They were ordered to a briefing that took place the next day.
At the briefing, a renegade Imperial was spoken of. His name was Youngblood. With the rank of commander he gave himself, he built a base meant for an army of Darth Vader clones. It was on Kashyyyk. All he needed was a blood sample. A small team of rebel soldiers volunteered to violate that base with stolen codes. The crew of the Lone Star was to transport them there. They would blast towards the stars.
On arrival, the crew of the stock light freighter drew lots to see who was to guard the ship. Fate chose Captain Flash Naa. This did not bother him. The rest of the crew began their mission. The 3PO unit was reluctant to go with them. Flash Naa was to watch his holovid to pass the time.
Soon, he would receive a frantic message – the soldiers violated the first door but could not open the second. They were trapped. The room was filling with a toxic gas. Flash Naa could hear the commander laughing and cursing them for him having to escape in a shuttle. Flash Naa launched towards battle. A dogfight ensued. Commander Youngblood was a better pilot but was also insane. The Lone Star won. Returning to Kashyyyk, the Wookiees destroyed the cloning base for the Rebellion as they did not like the Empire either. There was a celebration. General Madine went out of his way to be there. Crix Madine would recommend that the fallen receive a Jedi burial. After returning to Corellia, Flash Naa was given a medal. He would stay at the rebel base until a replacement crew and mission was assigned to him.
