A/N - There was no Elsa/No affair. He has been single up to the end of the game. The relationships between Cole and his partners in the game remain the same, except with Earle. Cole never went to Vice desk. He stayed at Arson.
Transition
After surviving the hellish experience of the tunnels, Cole returns to his life as a detective. So much has happened since the tunnels, Cole finally married the love of his life, Marie. He met Marie at a local cafe where she worked as a waitress.
"Usual, Detective?" She would ask him whenever he walked into the cafe. His usual wasn't anything special. Just a black coffee.
"You know me so well, Marie." Cole would respond.
They finally tied the knot. All
of Cole's friends attended the wedding. Bekowsky, Biggs, Carruthers, Galloway, you name it. They now have two beautiful daughters, Mary Elizabeth Phelps, age 7, and Evelyn Sarah Phelps, age of 1. Cole loved them more than anything in his whole life.
Even the lives of his former, and present, partners have changed. His old homicide partner, Galloway, has been married 3 times. He has one daughter, Lois. The mother of his daughter has unfortunately died. Hit and Run. Galloway now has full custody of his 7 year old daughter Lois. Galloway has been busy, but as Cole did, Rusty loves his daughter. He barely drank beer anymore. Cole thinks Rusty has become a better cop since he decided not to drink so much.
Even his good friend in Traffic, Bekowsky, got married. His wife's name is Rachel. They met when Stefan went with his 42 year old mother to get a wedding dress when she was remarrying. Rachel was helping Bekowsky's mother find a nice dress. They have one son together, Buckley Francis Bekowsky, age 6.
Even Herschel Biggs got married! Cole never thought he would see the day. The woman he married was, as Cole would put it, 'The female version of Biggs.' She was a nice woman, but she had very strong opinions. They actually have twins together. David and Diane Biggs, age 7.
Things have changed for sure, but they changed for the better.
As of right now, Cole's life is going pretty well.

Very short, yes, but it will be continued. This is going to maybe revolve around the kids. Since their ages are so close. So yeah, Cole is alive, there is no affair or Elsa. But Cole's story remains the same for the most part. I'll add more notes as I continue.
