Author's note: This is a modern AU where the events of Brotherhood happened in the 2000s, since the gothic style that Ed has belongs in the 2000s not the 1910s. With that being said, on with the show!
After Edward had defeated Father in 2005, there were massive changes to the world. Grumman had retired as Fuhrer in 2007, and Roy Mustang was placed as Fuhrer of Amestris, and made reforms to the country. He changed the name of Fuhrer to President, and changed the flag of Amestris from green to blue, symbolizing a new age and new life. The post war era had arrived as Creta, bearing the flag of black, yellow and white, and Drachma, bearing the flag of white, red, and black, emerged as superpowers. Creta was a democracy with a President, and Drachma was a monarchy with a king. In 2008 the United Alchemist Nations was established, an organization that had council members from all the alchemist nations, acting as the referees of warfare, throwing flags on the play whenever a country does an evil deed and penalizing them, meaning that no more conflicts like the Ishval war can happen.
A year earlier, Ed and Winry had their kids, Trisha and Aaron, as they grew up together. Trisha was trained in alchemy by Ed, and Aaron was trained in Automail mechanics and medical practices by Winry. As the years went by, Aaron became more skilled in science and engineering, inventing actual devices and weapons as the years went on. Trisha however was destined for greater things. She was going through a goth phase in her teen years, while still enthusiastic to pass the exam. Not a phase. It was her identity. She had dyed her hair green and wore a stud belt, a dark green tank top, and black leather pants and black boots, and even sported a black leather jacket to boot, as well as some black and dark green bracelets and ear piercings. She was ready to pass her State Alchemist exam for sure.

Author's Note: FMA takes place in an alternate universe from ours, so Xing and Drachma still have their monarchies, and communism does not exist yet or possibly never will. Just pointing that out there. Drachma is the Soviet Union minus communism, being the second superpower along with Creta, which is the USA. Xing is basically the People's Republic of China minus communism as well. Just pointing that out there. Ok bye now!
