Yo! I'm DragonXeona, and I am honored that you have decided to read my very first fanfiction. This is a story that takes place in a timeline where Sasuke never left and he and Sakura are together. But don't be fooled this is a story about our main canon couple, Naruto and Hinata. I have always felt that they should have gotten together earlier in the anime so this takes place during the ages that everyone is in shippuden. About 15-19 years old. Now I won't be having any smut scenes in here as per the ages they are. I'm sorry to those of you who would have wanted to read that, but worry not! Because I plan on posting a separate fanfic where certain *things* will occur. So stay tuned! But until then, enjoy

Naruto woke up to the sun shining in my face and his alarm clock going insane as it so rudely interrupted his dream.

"Ugh, I was having such a nice dream about Sakura-chan."

With delayed realization he remembered why he had set my alarm clock that day,

"Oh right, I have a mission today….. HOLY SHIT I HAVE A MISSION TODAY!"

"THEY ARE GOING TO KILL ME, I'M AN HOUR LATE!"

Tsunade had assigned a four man cell to go and take care of a cult that was stirring up trouble on the outskirts of Fire country. The team consisted of Naruto, Hinata, and Neji, with Yamato as captain. Naruto didn't really mind his team mates, in fact he was quite close with them. Yamato was on Naruto's team for a while and he had grown like the guy, even though he creeped him out a little. Despite some bad blood in earlier years, the genius Hyuga had become one of Naruto's closest friends just like the rest of the Konoha 12. Hinata was somewhat of a wild card he supposed. After risking her life to save him from Pain of the Akatsuki, Naruto was somewhat confused on why she had done so. He never really noticed the girl before, other than the incident that occurred during the Chunin exams. But what he was most confused about was why had she even thought about dying for him?

When Naruto reached Konoha's gates he mentally prepared himself for the barrage of harsh criticism.

"NARUTO, WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN! WE'VE BEEN WAITING FOR OVER AN HOUR!"

Naruto put his hands over his ears to dampen the noise of his captain's yelling.

Neji just gave him a disappointed look and sighed, "Let's just get going, we can't waste anymore time."

"Naruto-kun," a voice whispers behind him

He jumps up like a cat in water and screams

"Sorry Hinata you scared me, what's up?"

"I-I was just w-wondering if y-you w-w-were feeling a-a-alright?" she sputtered out.

"I'm fine, thanks for asking Hinata," Naruto responded.

He felt odd when she had asked about his well being, they didn't exactly know each other that well. Unsurprisingly, Naruto's attention was taken somewhere else, but what he didn't know is that Hinata had a plan. A plan to confess to him. Granted she wasn't the most confident person out there, but she swore to herself that when they started to head back to Konoha, she would finally tell him. Everyone was already aware that Hinata had a thing for Naruto and they were also aggravated by Naruto's denseness. Like seriously, how can he not see that she likes him?! *Author facepalms*

The cult really wasn't that big of a deal. It was just a bunch of money-hungry bastards looking to make a quick buck and cause trouble. No problems there.

When the group started to head back home, they passed through a small village. Apparently, there was a festival going on, celebrating who knows what. The team opted to stay for a day or two to check it out. Of course, the one who has a stick up his ass would protest *author: I'm kidding, I love Neji* but he was overruled, 3 to 1. Neji stayed in the room, while the rest of them went into the festival. Yamato went off by himself and Naruto and Hinata took off together, much to Hinata's liking. They passed by some stalls, ate some good food, and played some games. As they walked through the crowds of people, something caught Naruto's eye. It was a flyer for a concert. Apparently, there was a singer passing by and they offered to sing for the festival. And this ladies and gents, is where the fun begins…..
