Hello readers
Yeah decided to an Oliver/Laurel twist on Arrow's series finale or well at least goes AU after Arrow's season 8 episode 8. Meaning Oliver died rebooting the multiverse and killing the anti-monitor so the whole Legends of Tomorrow episode with the dumb Beebo thing never happened. Arrow portion was the real Crisis finale like it should have been.
In other news yes this will be earth one Laurel back, mind you as her new earth prime self alongside everybody else.
Because the reason they stuck with earth 2 Laurel remaining is the same reason they killed earth 1 Laurel off being Oliver/Felicity. By having earth 2 Laurel be an Olicity safe version she's perfectly fine of no threat.
I'm not doing that stupid crap just like I'm not leaving Oliver dead.
On with the show
The Loft in a bedroom
Groaning Oliver feels the sunlight starting to stream in through the windows while sitting up and looking around in disbelief because of recalling his last moments being dying as Barry and Sara watched. Then Oliver figures out that no doubt rebooting the entire multiverse meant even a new earth prime body for him too. Everyone is as no person still is their old earth one selves.
Looking down at his hand, the first thing which stops him is noticing a golden band around his middle finger, which is not Oliver quickly concludes the one he had when married to Felicity. Brushing that aside for the moment Oliver looks down at the floor to see his clothes scattered about meaning whoever he is married to had sex last night with little care for where their clothes ended up.
Only as a memory hits with his brain catching up to processing the new memories, Oliver smiles upon realizing who he is married to being Dinah Laurel Lance. Reaching down Oliver grabs a pair of jeans off the floor with slipping them on and a gray T-shirt.
Getting to his feet Oliver hearing movement turns to see Laurel at the doorway wearing a yellow short sleeve shirt and a pair of blue shorts which Oliver fully lets himself check out Dinah's physical attractiveness. Unlike her earth two self, her long blonde hair still flows freely down her back. Meanwhile, Laurel is openly checking Oliver out as well. Perks of being his wife.
"So… good morning," Laurel says, "I'll go put on a pot of coffee I think we need it with our new reality."
"You remember?" Oliver asks curiously and a bit hopeful.
"Well since you or well your earth 1 self removed me out of the afterlife yes, I remember," Laurel says.
"I'm sorry" Oliver replies guilty.
Rolling her eyes "I would rather have a fresh chance at life and all the dangers that involves being married you, or at least have you in my life instead of being in another realm without you Ollie" Laurel says warmly.
"You were wrong you know in that hospital room; you are the love of my life. Not Felicity" Oliver says.
"I know, you were with me when I needed you and not hunting down Darhk like you were when Felicity got shot at Christmas. We are just really great at lying to ourselves" Laurel says.
"So, you uh don't remember anything from the afterlife like getting to see events?" Oliver asks curiously.
"No, I do not," Laurel says with a frown "Price of coming back from the dead."
"Right" Oliver replies simply.
"By the way, Mia is, from my memories, over with Samantha and William so we could have the night free. We have a daughter together" Laurel says in a bit of disbelief and happiness.
Always dreaming of having kids with Oliver and waking up for finding out she does have a child that is Ollie and hers's, is quite the sudden shock to process. Though given some memories of this new life on earth prime Laurel is thankful she can recall Mia being born and raising her until this moment in time. Because she would have hated not having those memories in particular.
Nodding Oliver is silently relieved that Mia's mother changed, and secretly who he always wished it could be. Instead of his daughter no longer existing all together given the changes to the timeline on this new earth.
Walking over Oliver looks at Laurel for a moment as they gaze into each other's eyes before beginning to passionately and lovingly kiss. Wrapping her arms around Oliver's neck as Oliver moves his hands around her waist with pushing Laurel's back into the doorframe. They keep making out like a pair of teenagers for a brief minute until breaking off with resting their foreheads against each other.
"I missed that," Oliver says grinning.
"I think we both needed that and yeah missed it as well Ollie" Laurel replies smirking.
"Yeah," Oliver says lowly.
"Going to go put on that coffee," Laurel says, mind you a bit reluctantly.
"Well, at least you can make that without issue" Oliver replies teasingly stepping back.
"Oh, shut up Ollie I'm not that bad of a cook," Laurel says jokily.
"Really? How about the Christmas crisped dinner of 03?" Oliver replies.
"That was one time," Laurel says.
"Sorry councilor but I can recall various more times. Even without needing to process my new memories" Oliver says.
"Okay fair enough, and in that case, you can cook breakfast" Laurel replies lightly.
"I would be happy to," Oliver says.
Laurel leans up giving the archer a quick kiss on the lips before heading off down the hallway. After a moment Oliver follows with entering the living room. Making his way over to the glass doors leading out to the balcony Oliver opens it walking out. Heading over to the railing Oliver running a hand through his short blond hair looks at Star City, as the morning sun rises in the distance.
As he goes over his memories of this new earth prime Oliver realizes that must have got a few of the earths combined. Superman appeared first but his return to Starling City in 2012 as The Hood made him the first human hero. Shortly followed by Batman with Bruce remaining active in this world. And going over his mental knowledge Kate Kane never became Batwoman either.
It seems events before the island changed as he was a much more faithful boyfriend to Laurel with having never cheated on her, not even with Sara. However, briefly frowning Oliver wonders how William can still be born only a memory comes of Laurel and him were on a break as Laurel wanted to devote more time working on becoming a lawyer. Sara was still on the Queen's Gambit only as part of a college humanitarian project.
Deciding to go over any changes to his five years away another time because Oliver focuses on his return to Starling City. Most didn't change from the original earth one version of events, only there are a few differences. Unlike Laurel in this new timeline, Quentin hated his guts for nearly the whole year.
For Laurel and him he pushed her away upon returning home until near the end of the year where they got back together. The Undertaking did happen but Tommy remained alive given he was never in the CRNI since he told Laurel about being The Hood so she would stay out of The Glades. Didn't change his guilt over 502 people dying given he had fled to Lian Yu for the next six months until Laurel and Tommy, came to get him back home this time. Instead of Diggle and Felicity.
During the second-year back, Oliver let out a sigh of relief knowing Laurel didn't suffer from falling into drugs and pills this time around. Sara and Slade still did return and that went about like it did the first time. Only Deathstroke was unable to kill his mother since he cut himself free of the restraints, though his friend turned enemy quickly fled. And during this year Sara had begun instructing Laurel in combat.
Of course, Sara and he had no romantic relationship. Which Sara left back to the League of Assassins for getting help against Slade's army. However, Oliver going over his new timeline memories sighs in frustration Sara's tenancy to keep running from her problems, unfortunately, did not change.
Even though Tommy didn't die in the Undertaking, he eventually lessened his killing to only when absolutely needed, despite how his original body count like in earth one timeline was only barely past twenty. (Contrary to the people like Diggle, Felicity, Curtis, and others who consider him a serial killer.)
Slade remained alive because of refusing to give up on the man once called his brother. Where Slade later proved him correct since Slade helped him against Chase and Talia.
Going over the events of the third year not much had changed, Sara still died at the hands of a brainwashed Thea, Laurel suited up as a vigilante only this time with more training. Laurel developed a metahuman canary cry like her earth 2 self from the particle accelerator being a worldwide effect this time. And Oliver reflects thankfully no melodramatic relationship with Felicity given he remained with Laurel.
Also, at the end of the year not only did he kill Ras al Ghul, but Oliver also reflects he put Malcolm six feet under with cremating both their bodies preventing either from being brought back from the dead.
Thea didn't flip flop between Oliver and Malcolm like she kept doing in earth one's timeline since Moira and Tommy were able to get through to her. Also he gave the demon's head ring to Nyssa al Ghul instead.
Needless to say, Oliver notes in this new timeline one of the mistakes he always regretted was leaving for Ivy Town, which did not happen.
During this year Oliver by the news media got the nicknamed of the Green Arrow which seemingly stuck. Ras al Ghul was unable to wage as an effective war against him for two reasons.
For one the SCPD (not to mention his mother being mayor) is not a complete organization of total idiots so even they wise up to copycats, especially when The Arrow seemingly goes on a killing rampage against innocents.
The second reason is once realizing Laurel was not going to tell her father the truth about Sara's death, he had decided to step up and do it personally. Grimacing Oliver figures being too involved in Felicity in the original timeline is why he didn't do that the first time.
Onto the fourth year with Starling City getting a name change, Oliver focuses on the few major differences between earth one timeline and the new one. Laurel had thankfully never got killed in Iron Heights, because not trusting Diggle's judgment when it came to Andy, sent the key piece to make the totem work under Bruce's security. So Darhk got killed at Iron Heights by him personally and Andy was taken in by ARGUS.
Needless to say, Oliver reflects following these events he had kicked Diggle off the team being unable to trust the man's judgment any longer. And having gotten sick of constantly being lectured by a man supposedly his "brother." Also removed Felicity from the team given her choosing to keep secrets which affected the team like Ray Palmer or her constant disrespect. Following leaving the team eventually Felicity fell into her old habits of becoming a cyber-terrorist with having taken up her father's mantel of the Calculator.
Eventually, HIVE was stopped along with their Genesis plan Oliver notes with Ruve dying like she did in the original timeline.
Moving onto the events of his fifth year Oliver reflects the biggest changes were no Black Siren who was sent back to her earth after Zoom's metahuman attack in this new version of events. Next, he had called in Barry, Bruce, Clark, and the Waverider crew when Adrian Chase with Talia took his family hostage.
Plus, Adrian never got the chance to shoot himself in the head since Barry sped in at the last second to knock Prometheus out. Currently, Adrian Chase and Talia remain residents of Lian Yu's Supermax. Briefly, Oliver reflects some sadness at Talia having not become an ally of his again.
Dinah Drake never joined the team for two reasons of Laurel never died so he never went looking and apparently, she along with Vincent Sobel and Sean Sonus never existed on earth prime. Oliver figures that is a tiny amount of remaining power from being the Spectre giving him multiverse knowledge, and can already feel it disappearing.
It's during his fifth year in December for this new timeline he had proposed to Laurel who accepted and following Prometheus's defeat they had gotten married.
Moving onto the six-year Oliver reflects there never was any Team Arrow civil war since they managed to shut Rico Diaz's operations down very early into the sixth year, and personally beat the man far easier in this new timeline. So, Diaz got sent to Slabside with leaving Quentin still alive. Also, when Agent Watson from the FBI appeared in Star City, Oliver made a quick phone call to Lyla Michaels to shut her down. Meaning his identity as the Green Arrow never became public.
During his seventh year Oliver notes on having to still tangle with the Ninth Circle trying to destroy Star City, and his other half-sister Emiko is still at large in the shadows to cause a problem. Emiko's rather far fast redemption never occurred on earth prime.
Only even in the last timeline, Oliver wonders if she was just trying to get a quick ally given how quickly the Ninth Circle turned against Emiko, and figures that's probably the case. Emiko became far beyond redemption once letting the Queen's Gambit sank.
Also, it was during this year Laurel had given birth to Mia Queen.
Speaking of Laurel, Oliver can hear her footsteps with turning to see Laurel walk up alongside and handing him a cup of coffee. They spend the next few minutes drinking quietly in content silence until feeling light breeze blow come from behind them.
Turning around Oliver and Laurel stand there to see Barry Allen alongside Patty Spivot standing there. Barry is a red long sleeve shirt with blue jeans. Meanwhile, Patty is wearing a green long sleeve shirt with black dress slacks.
"So, guessing you remember everything from earth one?" Oliver asks.
"Yes, I do anyway and well I figured we could play catch up" Barry replies.
"And oh, thanks for having reality rewrote to have Barry and me married," Patty says, "I so could have done without that shock of waking up to my husband whose first words what are you doing here?"
Running a hand through his hair "Wasn't my control, I just put the universe back together" Oliver says.
"Sure, you weren't playing cupid? Mind you not complaining since been playing new earth prime think over recently yeah, I settled for Iris because of my obsession with her" Barry replies grimacing.
Looking over at the CCPD detective "I know how you feel, I got quite the surprise waking up next to Ollie, but I'd say things still worked out for the best" Laurel says.
Glancing lovingly at her husband "Yeah I'd say they did, I can't be that upset, and Barry seems perfectly fine with being married to me. Although I think I'll stick to calling Oliver cupid for a while" Patty says jokingly.
"You know I actually kind of like that nickname myself. After all, he does use bow and arrows" Laurel adds in a similar tone.
Oliver merely sighs at Laurel and Patty's antics while Barry steps over to embrace the archer in a manly, brotherly hug for a moment until stepping away.
"I'm glad you're not dead," Barry says grinning.
"Likewise," Oliver replies.
"So, let's compare new reality notes for what we know," Barry says.
Nodding Oliver begins an account and the four begin talking.
Hope you all enjoyed this and leave a review letting me know what you think if you want.
Few minor bits are Oliver being the first human vigilante is my way of restoring Oliver somewhat as being unique.
When Arrow first started, Oliver Queen was the first vigilante than with the introduction of Wildcat, the Justice Society and later even earth one Batman it robs Oliver being the first.
Mind you are dealing with showrunners who hate Oliver so that's not shocking.
Next, is I wanted to fix Emiko's stupid, rushed redemption arc because the Arrowverse has a redeem villain problem. Alongside their being unwilling to let villain go issue. Just look at Malcolm, Eobard or Damien Darhk over on Legends of Tomorrow. Yeah, no wonder the Arrowverse is a total mess.
Until next time
