Inspired by the 'Pointer Sister's – Fire'; pairing Rory and Robert, inspired by #teamrobert, Nick Holmes and the indomitable Claudia Schoder (lyrics are in italics, this is my first attempt at a lyric quoting song fic.)
Disclaimer: Just my idea based on so very much inspiration - like Nick Holmes chest! ?. I own 'naught but imagination, inspired by those that left me wanting. Really short one shot.

Sampson and Delilah
Rory's mind was filled with the memory, she was so mad at Logan, Finn, Colin, really all of them, so she pulled Robert aside, "Take me away, please?!", her mind goes back to another day, another moment and she was spirited away, 'I'm ridin' in your car'
He smiled something about her response recalls something and suddenly he is remembering, as well. He then tipped his imaginary hat at the group of the dumbfounded, "Let's go!"
She reflected on the moment. 'You turn on the radio', although the song playing was different, she was enjoying the alternate soundtrack in her head, and she smiled at him in odd appreciation.
He reached out and she snuggled into him on the bench seat of the Chevy Impala, 'You're pullin' me close'. She thinks she feels like she is betraying him, even though they aren't anything, maybe they never were.
Robert kisses her temple and she thinks it must be wrong and all she'd have to say is 'I just say no I say I don't like it'; but I have to admit, you make me feel things I didn't expect.
He smiles to himself; smirks are so last year, and at the stoplight lays a sweet kiss on your lips; 'But you know I'm a liar; 'Cause when we kiss, ooh Fire'
Rory tingles in an unexpected response, it is him after all, and then she observes his profile, the smile, the confidence and, well, his innate sexiness. She wonders how' did she miss, it – no him, after all this time?
'You say you want to stay', I am unclear, unsure, it won't be the first time, but things seem, so changed.
I bit my lip, hesitant, feigning uncertainty, "I say I want to be alone"
You look at me incredulously, there is the only reason I took you home and not him.
He hears her pretend, Rory says, 'I say I don't love you"
'But you know I'm a liar', so you pull me close and cannot be denied.
'Cause when we kiss, ooh – Fire', my knees go weak, my heart is about to burst, I know better, 'You had a hold on me right from the start', your touch is the only one that from the beginning was, 'A grip so tight I couldn't tear it apart'.
