This is, from what you can already tell, a crossover between Fullmetal Alchemist and My Hero Academia. I personally believe that Edward and Alphonse would fit right into the MHA world, and I have a good idea of how the first season would work out..
On another note, I am going to try and be more active in my stories starting now. So, hope you enjoy it!
Edward stood before Truth once again, however, this time he had a plan. He told Truth he would offer up his Gate of Truth in order to get his brother's body back. He had thought about it this entire time, and only now did it make sense to him that this was the only way to get his brother back; and he accepted it completely.
"Not bad, Alchemist! That is the correct answer! You bested me!...However, there is something I would like to ask of you.." Truth spoke, their voice showing how they were excited that he got it right, but then his voice returned to normal in his final comment. This made Edward gasp.
"What do you mean? I got the right answer! Isn't this enough!?" Edward half yells, Truth chuckling. "You are right, that is the correct answer, but I have something that must be done. You know the Multiverse theory?" Edward nods, knowing it from his studying into philosophy and alchemy. "Good. That isn't a theory as much as it is true. And in another Universe, there is a problem. Things from this world were transferred into that world, and I am not capable of getting it back. So, I have an offer for you." Truth said, Edward being a bit confused by his words.
"If you allow me to send you and your brother to that dimension, I will not only allow your brother to have his body back...but I'll give you an equivalent reward for doing this for me. Do we have a deal?" Truth's words sink into Edward's very being. He knew that it had to be done to get his brother back, but he didn't know what would happen. "...How long will I be gone from this world?" "It will be like you left only for a brief moment. Courtesy of me, of course." Edward sighs a bit from hearing that.
"Good to know...alright, I'll do it!" Truth's smile widens. "Excellent! Now, there's something I'll do for you. Your brother's body will not be able to go with you, so I'll take your arm and put your brother's soul back into the armor; it'll be as if he never gave you his arm back.." Truth said, Edward only nodded. Truth gives one more big smile. "Oh, and try not to die. It would be very sad for your brother if you died, Alchemist!" Truth said as Edward's Gate of Truth opened, the darkness reaching out for him again. Edward flinched when he felt his arm go away, but then relieved when he saw his Automail arm as good as new. He looked down at himself...and saw himself shrinking?
"What the hell?" Edward muttered as Truth looked at him. "Sorry, but because I need you to be a certain age for this little 'test', I'm reverting your body to a younger time." Edward's eyes widened. But that means all the height he gained was for nothing! Edward's eyes almost bulged out of his head from a mixture of shock and anger as the Gate closed.
.
.
.
Edward groaned as his eyes opened and looked at the area around him. The first thing he noticed was that it was night time, but he didn't care about that; he cared more about the land around him. He saw buildings that looked gigantic compared to his world's small towns, and he saw such advanced technology! Was he sent not only to another world but to another time? Edward was about to sigh when he heard a familiar metallic noise of movement. He turns to see his brother Alphonse in his suit of Armor.
"Brother? Is that you, Brother?" Alphonse said as he looked at his brother's right arm, seeing that it's once again Automail. "Al! It's me, alright!" Edward said as he hugs the suit of armor, Al looking a bit confused. "Wait, why am I in the suit of armor again? And why did you lose your arm again?" Edward blinked when he realized that his brother likely didn't know what was going on. He begins explaining what happened to his brother, shocking Alphonse. "So...Truth sent us on a "test" of sorts? Alphonse asks, Edward nodding.
"So...he also made you tiny again?" Edward gains a tick mark at his brother's bluntness. "I'm not that short!" "Brother, you're 4''11 again! That is short!" Edward wanted to knock his brother senseless, but he knew there were more important things to do. "So, we should probably try and find somewhere to stay first...and where the hell are we exactly?" Edward asked nobody in particular as he and Alphonse started walking around their area. Everyone gave quick glances at Alphonse and Edward but quickly shook it off as they kept walking. Things were going pretty smoothly for them...until…
"Help! That guy took my purse!" A lady shouted as a man with a mutation that gave him Shark teeth and a fin started running away. "Al, let's catch that guy!" Edward says as he just takes off running, Alphonse quickly reacts and chases after his brother. "Hey, stop where you are!" Edward says as he chases the man. "Hell no! I'm short on time, so why don't you run along little ki-" The man didn't get to finish his remark as he got kicked in the chest by Edward who somehow caught up, kicking him into an alleyway.
"I'm not a kid, and I'm not short!" Edward shouted as he clapped his hands together before putting them on the ground. Suddenly, the man was caught in two giant hands of earth, unable to move himself at all. "Now, just wait here until the authorities get here and we'll be dandy." Edward says as Alphonse finally catches up. "Looks like you caught him pretty quickly, Ed." Edward was about to comment when a man with a scarf jumped down from the rooftops.
"Which one of you two caught the man?" the guy asked as Edward responded, "I did.". The man looks at him and sighs. "Kid, you're not supposed to be using your Quirk like this. It's illegal." The man said as Edward blinked at him. He said the most logical thing he could think of. "What the hell's a Quirk?"
The man was obviously taken back by this. "You...don't know what a Quirk is?" "Yeah, why? Is that bad?" Edward didn't know what the guy was talking about, but all he knew was that he wasn't in the wrong; he just apprehended the man after all! "If you don't know what a Quirk is, how do you explain this?" The scarfed man asked as he pointed to the still captured thief. "Oh, that's Alchemy."
"Alchemy?" The man with goggles looked at the kid like he just grew a second head. Alchemy? He didn't have much time to think as the boy continued talking.
"Yeah, Alchemy. I don't have a lot of time to explain it at the moment, but I can tell you it's not Quirk' or whatever you called it.." Edward felt the man's gaze grow on him, and he thought he was looking for lies.
However, he didn't know that this man was the Erasure Hero Eraserhead, and he was trying to use his Quirk to nullify what this kid might be using. His eyes turned red behind his goggles, but nothing else happened. So this kid wasn't lying when he said this wasn't a Quirk...but what else could it be? Eraserhead thought as he deactivated his quirk. "Well, in any case, I'd like you two to follow me someplace. We can get everything sorted out there." The man said as Edward and Alphonse looked at one other. Edward pulls his brother in and starts whispering.
"What do you think about this, Alphonse?" Edward wasn't so sure if he could trust this man yet, so he asked his brother. If his brother felt okay around him, he would too.
"Well, he seems like a nice guy, I guess. I mean, he can't be too bad, can he?" Alphonse responded, Edward sighing in response. This guy must be good if he was trying to abide by the law and apprehend the culprit, so he guessed he would relent.
"Alright, where are we going?" Alphonse asked innocently.
"Just follow me. It won't take too long to get there" the goggled man said as he quickly tied up the thief and took the purse, not answering the question. "First, we'll take him into custody and give the purse back; then we'll head to where I'm taking you." The boys just shrugged to each other and followed the man.
"Hey, Brother, do you know where we're headed?" "No idea, Al. All I can say is I have a distinct feeling to trust this guy...wait, we don't know your name do we?" Edward looks forward to the man leading them. He looks back for a second and then says
"Just call me Eraserhead. That's what you need to know from me right now. What are your names?" he turned the question back onto them. Edward would admit, this guy was good at moving away from certain topics.
"Well, I'm Edward Elric. He's my younger brother, Alphonse." Edward decides to give him their real names, hoping to get him to open up. Sadly, it does not work as he continues to walk ahead without conversing with them anymore. To him, the short one technically broke the law by using what he called "Alchemy" in the chase.

Principal Nezu was a person of many qualities: intelligent, calm, concentrated, and cool. He would not let many things get under his skin, and could usually see things coming from a mile away.
So you can understand the kind of surprise he had when Aizawa walked in with a small boy with a prosthetic arm and someone in a huge suit of armor and told him he needed "Help," especially so late at night; Aizawa should be lucky he was finishing paperwork. He of course recovered quickly and looked at the two.
"Hello, I'm Principal Nezu of U.A. High. Would it be okay if I were to know who you two are." Nezu could see a tense look in Edward's eyes, almost like he was shocked. He shook his head and looked a little stern. "I'm Edward Elric, and this is my younger brother Alphonse Elric."
"Well, Mr. Elric, would you mind waiting outside my office with your brother for one moment? I have to talk to Eraserhead for a moment." They left the room quickly, and when the door closed he turned to Aizawa. "So, why did you bring these two here?"
"I was going on my patrol like usual when these two caught a mugger trying to steal a purse. The one with blonde hair, 'Edward' is the name he told me, and he manipulated the Earth property around him. Of course, I told them that using your Quirk is illegal, but he said that he didn't use a Quirk. He called it 'Alchemy.'"
Nezu's ears perked up at the last word he said. He has a pretty good memory, so hearing about such an old but interesting 'science'. He then looked at Aizawa and nodded for him to continue.
"Sadly, that's all I got out of them. I brought them here as soon as I could, and I already called Detective Tsukauchi over to have him talk with them." Nezu hums.
"I see. And you brought them here because…?" Nezu trailed off, letting Aizawa answer for himself.
"You're the smartest person I know. You would probably know the best way to get them to respond to something for Tsukauchi's Quirk to work. If we can find out more about them, you'd be our best shot."
"I see. Well, when is Detective Tsukachi supposed to be here?"
Aizawa hums for a second before responding, "He told me he'd be here in about 10 minutes. That was about 5 minutes ago."
"Alright then. I have the perfect plan. But first, I need you to bring me something."
.
.
.
"Hey, brother, who's this guy?" Alphonse asked Edward a question as he looked at the someone who came in an outfit that reminded him of a detective. Edward shrugged.
"No idea. But, I'm sure we're going to find out soon enough." The man opened the door, and they heard the bear dog mouse thing call them in. They walked in as that "Eraserhead" fellow walked out.
"Alright, Alphonse Elric? You can go sit over there." Nezu pointed to a chair on the left side of his desk. Alphonse sat there and noticed the detective sitting on the other side. "Edward Elric, was it? Come take a seat here." Edward listened to him as he sat down. Only then did he notice what was on the table.
"A chess board?" Edward was lost. He didn't know why there was a chess board on his desk, but Nezu quickly answered.
"How about we play a little game, Elric-san?" Edward looked a little confused, but Nezu explained further. "We'll play a regular game of chess. However, when one piece is taken or captured, then you get to ask the other a question. They must answer with the truth. I will know if you lie or not, so please try to follow that rule. And whoever wins gets to ask of one favor that the other must accept."
Edward looked at the board, then at Nezu. "I understand playing the game, but why have the extra rule?" Nezu gives a small smile, and the next words he says shocks both brothers.
"Is it not abiding by the laws of Equivalent Exchange?"
"What do you know about Equivalent Exchange?" Nezu chuckles at Edward's tone of voice.
"I don't know much, but I do know that you call your abilities 'Alchemy.' So I gave a challenge that would speak to you. Do you accept?" Edward gives a confident smirk as he nods. "Then let us begin." And with that, Nezu moves his first pawn.
.
.
.
First blood came by Edward as he moved his knight in to capture Nezu's pawn. Edward wastes no time asking his first question, "What is a 'Quirk'? I honestly don't know what that is." Nezu blinks but smiles as he starts to speak.
"A Quirk is a genetic power or ability one can have at birth. It is something that is passed down from one parent, both parents, or a new Quirk of it's own. The three classifications from rarest to most common are Transformation, Mutation, and Emitter. Animals, such as myself, can also be born with Quirks." Edward just has a concentrated look on his face as he puts it to memory, and then nods.
"Well then, my move." Nezu moves his bishop and attacks a pawn that was previously protected by his knight. I opened my defenses once for an attack and he strikes back with just as much force...I need to be careful. Edward decides as Nezu thinks of his first question to ask. He then knows what to ask and he looks at Edward.
"Where are you from? I'd like to know the specifics." Edward takes a deep breath as Tsukauchi unbeknownst to them activates his Quirk. Naomasa also was known by the name "True Man" because his Quirk made him a living lie detector. His Quirk tells him without fail if someone lies in his presence, so he waits as Edward finally answers.
"Resembool, it's a small town in Amestris." . . .What? Tsukauchi just gives a subtle signal to Nezu that he did not lie. Nezu frowns. Nezu has never heard of a place in any time or place known as 'Resembool' or 'Amestris'.
"Alright, my move…" Edward says as he moves his pawn to be attacking the bishop on its diagonal. Nezu, however, knows what trap is waiting, but knows he can't avoid it, so he goes ahead and jumps into it.
"Alright, second question...you said you never heard about Quirks, yes? If that's the case, what are the 'powers' that Eraserhead talked to me about earlier?"
"Well, it's Alchemy. Alchemy is a scientific technique of understanding the structure of matter, decomposing it, and then reconstructing it. It has limitless versatility, but comes with a heavy requirement. The Law of Equivalent Exchange. To keep it simple, the first rule can be said as this: Humankind cannot gain anything without giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. After you do that, you just get a Transmutation Circle and do Alchemy. OH! And some people have stronger Alchemy than others." Again, Nezu got a signal from Tsukauchi that no lies had been said. Edward then grins as he takes his Bishop with his other pawn.
"What is this place?"
"We are in U.A. High School, the Number 1 Hero School in Japan, and possibly the entire world. We have made a multitude of Pro Heroes that were successful, and in fact the current Number 1 Hero All Might came from our school." Edward's head tilts to the left in confusion.
"Anyways, let us continue playing this game." Edward nods as they continue.
.
.
.
The game was very difficult, and it only got more so later on in the game. Edward asked many questions that shocked the other two, ("Who is All Might?" "What's a Pro Hero?" and "What's Japan" for a few of them.) And Nezu asked Edward some other questions in return ("What is a Transmutation Circle?" "Are there any other rules Alchemy follows" and "What are your opinions on Heroes and Villains?" among others) So far they were on an equal footing, but Nezu changed that when he took Edward's second bishop. He then asked a question he wasn't expecting from this person.
"So, you don't know what Japan is, you didn't know of the Pro Hero profession...and you did not know the most popular Hero in the world. Tell me, Edward Elric...are you two from this world at all; and if you aren't, why have you shown up?" Alphonse gasped as Edward just sighed. Great. I asked too obvious of questions...that guy over there must be here for a reason. If Quirks are unique, this person might have a way to tell if I'm lying...so I really have no choice.
"Yes, we are indeed from another world." Tsukachi's eyes widen and he nearly stands up when he looks at Nezu, his eyes telling him that Edward told the truth. Nezu just nods, telling Edward to continue. "There is a being in our world. One you only meet when you use a very dangerous form of Alchemy called Human Transmutation. It was a study of trying to cheat death in a way - to bring people back or to make life. And the first time you appear to him, he says the same thing: 'I am known by many names: I am the World, I'm the Universe, I am God, I am Truth, I am All, and I am One. And I am also you.'" Edward continued to explain about Truth, what happened when you met him, and what the consequences and side effects are. Nezu sat in complete interest and focus as Edward explained his world.
"So...the reason why I saw Truth was because our mother died when we were young. We were foolish, and tried to bring back our mother with Alchemy. I lost my leg and Al lost his whole body in the process. I had to use another form of Human Transmutation, sealing his soul into that suit of armor at the cost of my arm...we don't want our mother back, we just want to go back to normal. I finally figured out how to get my brother's body back...but he told me something from our world invaded this one, and so he sent us here. And that's what happened."
Nezu nods, his body not showing the utter shock he had on his mind for that brief moment. He calmed himself down in his mind and looked at Tsukauchi who nodded at him, telling him that everything he just said is the truth.
"Alright...I'll do this." Edward moves his queen to take Nezu's rook, getting revenge for his Bishop. Edward then asks another question.
"I just have one final question for you, at least on the top of my head. You now know that we're unable to get back to my world until I complete what Truth brought me here for, whatever the hell that is, and Al and I know nothing of this world. So...what will you do to make sure Al and I have a place to stay?" Nezu hums in confirmation.
"Well, I could easily find a Pro Hero that is trustworthy to know your secret as well as take care of the two of you. If you want it, I could personally take care of you until we find someone. If your God, or Truth as you call him, brought you here even though you 'beat' his game, it must be a major threat that would make it even with you two here. So, I'll do whatever it takes; to make sure my world and students can thrive as well as help you two. It may not look like it, but I actually am quite interested with you two."
Edward nods, as Alphonse just stays quiet, not knowing what to say about any of this.
"So, I know we both know what's going to happen next, so let's get it over with." Edward nods as he accepts his loss. Nezu moves his Queen on a part of the board where a) His king couldn't run away, and b) no piece he had could move his king out of this check. "Checkmate." Nezu declared, Edward accepting his loss.
"Alright, now since I didn't take any other piece, and I have no more questions, I just have the favor of mine to ask…" Edward gulps as he prepares for the worst possible outcome.
"I would like for both of you to apply for U.A.'s Hero Course."
…
"Eh?"
And that's the first chapter! Sorry if it's not as long or as plot heavy as my other story, but I just wanted to get this chapter out ASAP.
And a quick note I wanted to say. If any of you are fans of my other My Hero Academia story - The Quirkless' Fighting Spirit - I just wanted to apologize for the lack of updates. My life got a bit stressed because of "You know what" finally hitting hard in the United States over Spring Break. And while I tried to keep writing, I just didn't feel like it was something I could do.
However, I am going to start working on not only that MHA story, but also this one. Speaking of…
How do you like the story so far? Is there anything you'd like to see in this story? Let me know through a Review! Also, not a lot of crossover stories get favorites or followers that much, so let me know how much you enjoy this story by following and favoriting!
Also, I'm going to have Alphonse and Edward get into Class 1-A. But, that means two students have to be kicked out. Let me know through a Review who you would say is okay to be removed! I want to try and make this not just a story I would enjoy, but also a story you guys would enjoy.
Anyway, I hope you all have a good day/night, a great week, and as always: Stay positive!
