Takes place after my story Target.
It was a normal day on Cybertron for Starscream he had just gotten up and went to get a cube of energon. Then heard a knock at the door and went to answer it.
But no one was there and there was a package left at the door step. Starscream looked it over and saw that it was addressed to him but it wasn't signed.
He opened it and there was a crown inside alone with some energon sweets.
"Wonder who sent me this and why?" Starscream asked himself. "Well it sure was nice of them." He added trying the crown on.
Just then his com-link went off and he answer it and heard a femme laughing on the other end before it cut off.
"Ok that was odd." Starscream told himself. Then decided to call Knock Out and tell him what was going on.
"Hi Knock Out this is Starscream." He said over the com-link. Then told his best friend what just happened.
"So she was just laughing sounds like a nutcase." Said Knock Out after Starscream finished telling him what happened. "I hope it's just a secret admirer and not a stalker they can be crazy and sometimes dangerous."
"I don't think it's anything to worry about." Starscream told his friend. "And I'll be careful."
"Good after what happened when I got mysterious calls during the whole Nightwolf mess I think you better take it seriously." Knock Out warned the seeker not wanting him to end up in danger if he was dealing with some kind of psychopath.
"Don't worry I'll be careful and call the police if things get real." Starscream promised.
"I'm dealing with a mystery of my own." Knock Out told him. "Highjinx keeps disappearing then reappearing at the oddest times and she's acting strange." He explained while petting his Cybercat on the other end of the com-link.
"That is strange." Starscream agreed.
"And I can't for the life of me figure out where she keeps going." The Austin Martin continued. "Oh and Starscream it's important that in case this femme your dealing with is dangerous if she sends you any energon don't consume any of it."
"Yeah of course eating or drinking anything from an unknown sender is always a bad idea." Starscream said as he quickly tossed away an energon sweet he had been just about to put in his mouth when Knock Out said that.
Then the two said goodbye and hung up.
Later that night at Knock Out's place. Knock Out had been recharging when he heard a crash and went to the door where he found Highjinx trying to get in.
Knock Out opened the door for the cybercat who had knocked over a trash can trying to get to the window.
"How did you even get outside?" The cherry colored mech asked. As he started to pick her up to take her in.
But she hissed at him then bolted inside past him.
"What was that about? She's never hissed at me before." Hethought before going back in and closing the door behind him. "She's been acting so strange lately."
Feeling tired he went back to recharge.
Meanwhile at Starscream's house he had been trying to recharge but kept jumping at every sound and shadow afraid it might be his stalker trying to break in.
When he heard something go bang. And ran to the window to investigate just in time to see a shadow run off somewhere and it went by so fast he couldn't tell who or what it was.
"It ok Starscream you don't know for sure you have a stalker or that their dangerous." The seeker told himself.
"Unless that's what the murder wants me to think." He thought. Then he took off running after he heard another sound. Then fell down the stairs and kept tripping over himself trying to get up because he kept doing it too fast since he was in a panic he forgot how to stand up.
Until he finally calmed down enough to get up but was still a bit shakey.
"Next time I have to flee from my room in terror I should remember I have a staircase." Starscream told himself as he facepalmed.
Then he felt like a complete idiot when he realized the thing that caused him to run away in fear was his clock that chimed.
He finally managed to get into recharge then when he woke up the next day there was another package at the door.
"Not another package." Starscream thought. "Oh no this one's ticking!"
So he called Knock Out again. And the red medic hurried over to help him.
"So she sent you a bomb?" Knock Out asked.
"I'm pretty sure because I heard ticking." Starscream explained.
Then Knock Out listened and heard it too. "So how do we get rid of it?" He asked.
"I don't want to call the police because what if she thinks I'm rejecting her and isn't it when they think their being rejected that they really get dangerous?" Starscream told him. "And what if the police can't or won't protect me?"
"Well we can't just leave a bomb there." Knock Out reasoned. But while they were talking they neither one noticed Highjinx who Knock Out had brought with him go over to the package and started ripping it open with her claws using it for a scratching post.
Just then both mechs saw what she was doing.
"No Highjinx!" Knock Out screamed while Starscream jumped to the floor. But there was no boom.
And both Starscream and Knock Out were relieved to see it was a clock in the package and not a bomb like Starscream thought it was.
"Thank goodness." Knock Out sighed. "Highjinx please no more opening packages that arn' t yours I don't want you to get blown to bits." He said only to notice she was gone again.
"Where does she keep going?" Knock Out asked.
"I don't know." Said Starscream.
"So who sent the clock?" Asked Knock Out.
"I have no clue the paper is to damaged to read thanks to Highjinx scratching it." Starscream explained. "But I'm just glad me, you and her weren't blown up just now."
"Me too." Knock Out told him.
Then Knock Out had to go to the hospital to work. But called Starscream later and said he had just talked to Soundwave who told him Ravage had been disappearing too.
"Maybe it just a cybercat thing?" Starscream told him.
"Me and Soundwave are gonna follow them to find out what's going on." Knock Out explained.
"Good luck." Starscream told him.
"Thanks and you be careful with your stalker." Knock Out said to him.
"Don't worry I will." Starscream assured him trying to keep his voice from trimbuling feeling more scared then he was really letting on. Then the two hung up.
Starscream sat there for a few minutes trying to decide what to do.
Then he heard someone at his door and opened it to be greeted by Windblade.
"Hi Windblade what are you doing here?" Starscream asked feeling confused.
"I just came to apologize I realized I accidentally turned on my com-link when I bumped my helm against the wall yesterday and called you by mistake." She explained.
"So that was you?" Starscream asked. "Why were you laughing?"
"Bumblebee and Sideswipe were telling me some funny jokes." She told him.
Then Starscream explained what had happened to him the day before and about the two packages he had received and showed her what had been inside both of them.
"I can clear that up too." She told him. "Megatron sent you the crown and energon sweets as an apology gift for being mean to you during the war." "I actually helped him pick them out and he must have forgotten to sign it."
"Oh well tell him apology accepted." Starscream said.
"But he didn't send the clock." She explained.
Then Starscream facepalmed remembering he had actually ordered the clock and just forget about it. Then they both laughed at the misunderstanding.
Then Starscream called Knock Out to tell him what was really going on. And Knock Out thought it was funny too.
"And I have my own news me and Soundwave followed Highjinx and Ravage and it turns out they were going to the same place not to far from where you live I think the shadow you saw last night was Ravage." Knock Out explained.
"Well long story short me and Soundwave have a litter of cyberkittens to find homes for. The reason Highjinx was acting so strange is because she was expecting her and Ravage's cyberkittens and we found them just in time for the delivery." Knock Out finished explaining.
"And they all laughed and Starscream congratulated Knock Out and Soundwave on Ravage and Highjinx becoming mates and parents. And Knock Out and Soundwave had agreed to arrange visits for the Cybercats so they wouldn't sneak out anymore.
And several weeks later they managed to find homes for all the cyberkittens Starscream kept one. And even Megatron had adopted one of them.
They were cute with a mix of yellow, white, black and purple both their parent's color schemes.
And Starscream and Megatron were now friends.
