I've had this idea I'm my head for a long time and I decided to do it. I played with the idea for awhile with different characters, places and scenarios and went with V as I feel there's a lot I can do with him and what others have done with the guy and went with Three Houses as I've recently played two of the paths so far. I'm still new to writing FanFics and writing in general so any criticism, advice or any helpful things you want to say comment or pm me. Also I'm not well versed in poetry so don't expect V to be all mysterious with quotes but I'll try my best. Now with that all out of the way lets get started.

Chapter 1

'Darkness... the only thing that I see in this place... is it a place at all or is this where all go when you have fulfilled your purpose... if this is the end then so be it...'

"Well we can't just leave him like this" a voice said, 'but that should be impossible' "Well what do we do?, you wanna carry him?" another said

V open his eyes only to see a two people one man and one woman standing over him. "Well, look look who's up." V heard the man say "Are you alright sir?" he asks as V thought for a moment, 'how is this possible, I should be Vergil now... so why am I here.' V thought.

"Hey, your there or are you just sleeping with your eyes open?" said the woman, "Forgive me, I... I am lost" V said as he stared sitting up "I don't know what has gotten me in this situation." The woman gives him a wired look as the man holds out his hand as V take it getting up and giving him a thankful look.

"So What made you want to sleep on the ground? Did you get attack or do you have a camp near by?" the man asked as the both of them looked at him awaiting an answer but what could he tell them, considering his options he needed to play smart.

"To be honest with you I cannot remember what has gotten me into this situation, I cannot seem to remember, where are we right now what is today" V ask hoping he can get information about his current predicament.

"Its the 9th day of Lone moon, we are currently on the road to Garreg Mach Monastery, we were heading back till we saw you on the ground." the man informed him and he was shocked Lone Moon, Garreg Mach what was that is it a place on earth. 'am I even on earth at all? and what does Lone Moon mean?' V thought.

"You from around here or from far away because you don't look like someone from Fodland, also whats your name?" The woman said looking at him suspiciously. "Now Catherine its not polite to ask someones name when you haven't given yours." The man said butting in "Ahem, I am Alois a Knight of Seiros and This is Catherine who is also a knight." Alois introduced "Now, with that out of the way whats your name stranger?"

V looking down making it seem as if trying to remember "...I cannot seem to recall my name, let alone anything for that manner." V said 'I need to be cautions as I do not know where I am.' "You know, your not really helping you case here. Catherine said "We see you on the side of the road asleep, asking about the date and now you say you can't remember you own name, I want to give you the benefit of the doubt but your really just making yourself more and more suspicious." Alois not wanting the situation to escalate butted in again. "Now now Catherine lets take a moment." he turned to V "We found this cane and book next to you do you know if their familiar to you." Alois said holding out a his cane and book the had a V on it.

"They do look familiar" V said as he took them opening the book looking through it. "Well why don't we continue this at the Monastery, we're not that far and we need to report to the Archbishop and we've been held back enough." Alois said "Vary well then Alois, Catherine forgive me for holding you back." V said as he looked up from his book.

The two knights nodded and went to get the other knights and soon after heading to the monastery on their walk V spoke up "I do not remember much let alone my name but for now why don't we refer to me as V for now?" The two looked at each other and shrugged then look back at him and nod.

Time Skip to getting to the Monastery and outside the Audience Chamber

Upon seeing the Monastery V found the place big, not only that but an academy was also placed here the Officers Academy it was called and some students are already here for the new year starting. One thing V could say about this place was how the atmosphere felt holy and sacred. V and Alois were outside the Audience Chamber waiting for Catherine to finish reporting their mission to the Archbishop. During this time V was pondering why was he here and how, he fused back with Urizen so there is no reason he should be alive, yet here he is. In his deep thoughts he failed to notice Catherine had come out of the doors she went in when they had gotten here.

"I finished giving my report to Lady Reha and I told her about V, I'll leave the rest to you, I'm gonna go check on other things." Catherine said as she walked away as Alois nodded and turned to V only to see him deep in thought. "Hey V, are you ready?" Alois said as V looked to him snapping him out of his thoughts and nodded.

As the two walked in V saw two people in the middle of the room, one was a woman with green hair, she held a kind smile yet V could sense something else to her, what it was he did not know but it wasn't demonic. The man next to her had a darker shade of green hair, he had an air of authority about him and V got the same feeling from him as he did the woman.

"Lady Reha, Seteth a good day to you both, I believe Catherine told you about our mission and V here correct?" Alois had said as he gestured to V when talking about him.

"That she did." Seteth said "She also told us about our quest here who, according to her, doesn't remember anything that happened to him before meeting you two, not even his name and has asked to be called V, am I leaving anything out?"

"That just about covers it actually, we didn't really know what to do so we brought him here hoping someone might be able to help him, if not give him a place to stay until he can remember anything at the vary least." Alois said

"I see, this is quite the predicament." Reha said finally speaking "Mister V is there anything you remember before you arrived here?" Reha asked putting V on the spot as if trying to gauge him.

"I am afraid not your holiness, if I am addressing you correctly, my memory have yet to manifest them selves to me." V said "I only have what has been described to you by your knights."

There was a long pause in the room, that was until Reha up spoke again.

"Vary well than for the time being we shall give you a place to stay for the time being, however I feel as though there is much more to you than you even know." Reha said making V ask "How so?"

Reha paused for a moment to think before speaking again "When I look at you I see a man lost, without a purpose in need of help, perhaps the goddess brought you here to help you find that." the word Reha had spoken made Seteth speak up "Lady Reha you are not going to suggest what I think you are going to?"

"That I am Seteth, Mister V, I have a proposition for you, if you are willing to that is, but I ask you work here at the Monastery." when Reha had made her offer to V everyone in the room seem to be at a loss mostly Seteth who had looked on in surprise on his face.

V on the other hand pondered for a moment. Why would this woman offer him something like this, is she just that kind to anyone or is there something he wasn't getting. Knowing he would not get anywhere standing there think he spoke "Pray tell, what would I be doing if I accepted?" he asked wondering if she wanted something out of this.

"As I have said you don't have to accept, but our current librarian Tomas has asked for an assistant to help him in the library, you will be that assistant should you agree. Reha elaborated but as she finished Seteth spoke up "Lady Reha are you sure this is wise we do not know this man nor his intentions and you are offering him a position in a vary vital area of theMonastery."

"I know what I am offering Seteth but my decision has been made and it is up to V if he will take the position or not." Reha said as Seteth looked to V awaiting his answer.

V pondered for a moment before he spoke up "I do have one condition, should I decide to work in the library, that I am able to leave should my memories return." V said with Reha responding after a moment of consideration. "I will allow this condition should you accept the position."

V smiled "Then I accept you offer Archbishop." he said as he bowed

Reha also smiled "That is wonderful to hear, I shall have someone prepare your room, in the mean time Alois you are dismissed." she said as Alois said his farewell as Reha turned to Seteth "Seteth I would like you to show our friend here the library and around the Monastery until his room is ready."

"Vary well." he said "If you would follow me I will show you around so as you do not get lost." with that Seteth began walking out the doors as V followed.
