Toshinori Yagi locked the door behind him as he stepped out his small apartment. Despite the amount of money, he makes as All Might, he prefers to stay at this small apartment well away from Might Tower to give himself a respite from the stress of being the Number One Hero in Japan.

Not that he sees much of it to begin with, even with the rules in place limiting his time "on the clock" he still spends as much time as he can as All Might. Except for days like today, when he must step away remember one of the many reasons why he decided to walk the path of the Hero. 32 years ago, he was separated from his younger sister after their father was murdered by their mother, 32 years since he last saw her. He tried to find her, but the adoption files were sealed, he had no way to hire someone to find her, and even after Nana more or less adopted him she couldn't find her.

He closed his eyes and thought back to that day.

Sutepano Yagi heard the front door to the apartment slam open and the drunk yelling of his wife. He had just tucked his 8-year-old daughter into bed, and his 13-year-old son was preparing for bed as well. From the shouts he knows that his wife will be even more belligerent than usual, and he know that she was slipping deeper and deeper into the bottle ever since she got passed for a promotion and their son was diagnosed as Quirkless.

"Dad," Toshinori asked as he slipped into his sister's room. "Mom's…"

"I know," he sighs, "Toshi stay here with your sister and have your phone ready."

More screaming was heard along with the smashing of plates from the kitchen.

"Dad are you going to be ok?"

Toshinori's sister woke up and looked around with her bright green eyes., "Nii-chan, Papa?"

Sutepano gave his children a sad look, "watch after each other."

He left the room and locked the door behind him, and his footstep faded into the kitchen. The shouting became louder. More shattering was heard then a high pitch screech, then a sickening wet thump followed by a thud. Footsteps sound coming from the kitchen, far lighter than those of Sutepano.

"Guess its time to take care of that little shitstain," Hikari Yagi muttered.

Toshinori grabbed his sister, opened the window and made a break for the fire escape as their mother tried to open the locked door.

"Goddamnit, OPEN THE DOOR YOU FUCKING BRAT!"

She pounded on the door and Toshinori fled down the fire escape with his sister in his arms.

"Nii-chan, what is going on," she asked, "what happened to Papa?"

He did not know how to answer the question as they climbed down the fire escape, or even once they made it to the ground and ran. How do you explain murder to one so young?

Toshinori shook his head, he never did get a chance to explain. Once the police found them, and the body of their father, it was all a blur. They were taken to an orphanage as their mother went to trial, but soon after found themselves separated. She was adopted quickly, but no one wanted a Quirkless teenage boy. He stayed at the orphanage until he entered UA and was taken in by Nana. He never forgot about his sister, or his last words to her: "I will find you imouto."

He left his apartment behind and wove his way through the streets the rail station and to the cemetery his family used for years. It was quite and empty, and in all honesty just how he liked it. Yet when he reached his father's grave, he found that he wasn't alone.

A short, and somewhat plump, green-haired woman knelt in front of it in prayer. He had never seen her before, he thinks, the green hair reminds him of his student Izuku… and something nagged at the back of his mind. He silently crept next to her and knelt and prayed. He could hear her mutter a Buddhist prayer, while he recited a Catholic prayer.

Finished the woman looked up and was startled by the tall skeleton of man kneeling next to her. Wide green eyes started at him as he finished his own prayer.

"Sorry," she rushed out, "I didn't know anyone else would be here."

Toshinori waved her apology away, "no, I should be the one apologizing. I should not have startled you."

He now had a good chance to look at the woman. Achingly familiar green eyes stared at him, and memories bubbled upped. Memories of the last time he saw his sister, the funeral of their father.

"Did you know him," she asked.

He had only one answer, "I did… Imouto."

Green eyes widen and hands flew up to her mouth as she gasped.

"Toshi-nii?"

He nods and the woman hugs him, "I've been trying to find you for so long."

"As I have Inko, for so damn long."

A germ of an idea I've had for a while, with a bit of headcanon thrown in. Would like to thank the MHA Discord I'm on for helping with the idea, hopefully I will be able to work on some others that would delve far deeper into headcanon and the past from the early days of the Quirk Era. I did take some liberties with ages to make things fit.
