The shadow bounced from rock to rock, avoiding every blaster bolt and lightsaber that was aimed for it. It raced through the forest, followed closely by the two Jedi and clones.
"Master!" Ahsoka yelled. "What is that thing?"
"I don't know." Anakin said. "But with the way it attacked us back there, I wouldn't say it's too friendly."
The shadow flew through the night, propelling itself deeper into the trees and further from the Jedi. The Jedi and clones sprinted through the forest, trying to keep their eyes on the dark figure that raced in front of them.
Night was falling and the mysterious shadow creature blended in with its surrounding even more, making it almost impossible for the Jedi to see it. They continued to run until they came into a clearing in the forest.
"Where is it?" Ahsoka panted, looking around, using the light from her saber to see.
"It's around here somewhere." Anakin said. "I can feel it. Spread out."
The clones walked around, shining their lights into the shadows, looking for anything off. Ahsoka walked over to another corner of the clearing, sensing that something was wrong. She reached the edge of the clearing and ignited her blade, looking into the dense forest. A ruffling sound came from behind a rock. She inched nearer, spreading her legs into a defensive position.
She walked behind the rock and used her lightsaber to light up the darkness. As soon as she ignited the green blade, the shadows dispersed. Except for one. Ahsoka leaned in closer, as the shadow made no movements whatsoever. Her face was only inches away from it when it bounded from the rock and onto a nearby tree.
"Master!" Was all that she could get out before the shadow lept onto her and everything went black.

Anakin and the clones had gone into a particularly dark section of the clearing. A perfect place for the shadow demon thing to hide. They used their headlights and shone light on every inch of the area, but found nothing. Suddenly, a high voice screamed out to them.
"Master!"
Anakin whipped his head around to see the shadow jump on top of his padawan and enter her skin. Then Ahsoka fell to the ground.
