On with the story
In the world of the Pokemon, short for Pocket Monsters
Many strange and powerful creatures are found everywhere as they are living amongst in the sea, the land, and the very sky
Pokemon live with humans, and they fight with humans
These people are called trainers as they fight alongside with pokemon to strive for the future
A young man was looking at the rising sun as it was the start of a new day
His name is Ken, and he has a dream, to become a great pokemon trainer
Ken looks to the rising sun with a smile before he looks down to see a tombstone in front of him
The young man kneeled in front of the tombstone as he patted it a bit
"I'll be going now.." Ken spoke out as he smiled "…grandpa"
He stands back up before looking to a farm as it was closed and there was a sale stand on the front
"thank you for everything" Ken bowed to the farm before he turns around and then leaves
As he leaves, he passes by the townspeople as they all watched him
"hey Ken!" someone called out to him as Ken turns around and sees an old man coming towards him
"Fuji-san" Ken spoke out as the man was a man named Fuji
"so it's time for you to leave, huh?" Fuji said to the man with a smile
"yes, I kept my promise to be at the farm till I'm 20 to grandpa, now it's time for me to leave the nest" Ken said like a wise man that made Fuji chuckles
"yes, I believe so too" Fuji said with a smile "your grandfather was a great friend of mine and seeing you as a grown young man reminds me so much of him"
"I get that a lot, especially from you Fuji-san" Ken said with a little laugh
"I guess you did" Fuji said before reaching a hand out to Ken "well, I guess this is farewell"
"no" Ken said before holding Fuji's hand and grasp it tight "grandpa once said that a Pidgey would always fly back to its nest. this isn't farewell. After I become a great trainer, I'm going back here"
"well then, we all will be waiting" Fuji said as the rest of the townsfolk were behind him
"yeah" Ken said before he did a thumbs up in front of his chest "you can count on it!"
"go! Be the great trainer everyone will ever see!" Fuji said as Ken nodded before turning around and leave his hometown
Fuji and the rest of the townsfolks waved their goodbyes to Ken as the young man sets on to travel on his journey
"you really think he can become a great trainer, Fuji-san?" elder townsfolk asked Fuji who nodded
"he will" Fuji said before he looks towards the Farm at the end of the town "after all, his grandfather did become a great pokemon master when he was young"
Ken was now on his journey to become a great trainer as the man had determination filled his eyes
The young trainer passed by the forest as he planned to get to Pewter city to challenge the Pewter Gym leader to get his first badge
"if I go this way, I get there in 2 days or so" Ken said while reading a map before folding it and placing it away "however.."
He then takes out a pokemon ball as he clicks the tip and enlarges it
"ready to spread your wings?" Ken asked before throwing out the Pokeball into the air as a Pidgeot came out
The bird pokemon flew in the air before landing in front of Ken as the young man petted the feathered pokemon
"let's do this" Ken said before getting on Pidgeot's back as the bird pokemon flapped its wings before flying into the sky
Ken rides on his pokemon as it soars the sky
After flying in the air for a good 2 hours, Ken had his Pidgeot fly down to rest
"here you go" Ken takes out a plastic container as it was filled with Oran berry
He takes a few berries as he feeds it to Pidgeot
As Pidgeot replenishes his strength, Ken heard some movement behind him as the man turns to see the bushes shaking
"who is there?" Ken asked as his Pidgeot squalled out while flapping its wings
Came out from the bushes was a pack of Houndoom and Houndour
The pack pokemons surrounds Ken and Pidgeot as they circle around them
"12 Houndours and 5 Houndooms, odds are to them, huh?" Ken said before seeing one Houndoom stepping forward as it growls at him and Pidgeot
"you must be the leader" Ken looks at the Houndoom as it got a wound on its jaw and neck
"it's hurt?" Ken looks at the wound as he slowly approached the canine pokemon
The Houndoom growls at him as Ken got close to it
"easy there fella. I'm not going to hurt you" Ken said before he reached into his bag and takes out a plastic container
Inside the container are some slices of Tomato berry
"you guys love these, right?" Ken placed the container towards the Houndoom as it growls at him
Ken then backs away as the Houndoom growls at him before looking at the plastic container
It sniffs the container and its content before taking a bite out of the Tomato berry slices
"there we go" Ken came close to the Houndoom as he takes out a spray bottle
He sprayed the Houndoom's wounds with it as the spray was an ultra potion spray
"all done" Ken stashed away the spray bottle as the Houndoom finished up the container that was once filled with the sliced Tomato berries
The Houndoom looks at its body before it barked and started licking Ken
"hey, stop that will ya?" Ken asked while laughing as the Houndoom keep on licking him
The other Houndoom and Houndour surrounds Kenro as the man looks to them before getting the idea
"I got plenty for you all" Ken said as he takes out several containers in his bag and there were all filled with Tomato berries
All of them instantly barked to Ken as he gave them all the Tomato berries
After gaining the trust of the Houndoom and Houndour pack, Ken bid them all goodbye
"see ya all later" Ken bid them all goodbye as they all went back into the forest but the leader stayed behind
Ken looks at the canine pokemon before it approaches him
"what's wrong?" Ken asked as the Houndoom barks at him
Ken looks at the Houndoom confused before he heard howls from the forest
He looks to the forest and sees the rest of the pack howling before they all went away
"you are leaving your own pack?" Ken asked as the Houndoom barked in reply "and you want to come with me?"
The Houndoom nodded as Ken smiled
"well then…" Ken takes out a pokeball as he leans it towards Houndoom
Houndoom nudge its snout at the pokeball as it got captured into it
The pokeball beeps for a few moments before it stopped as the Houndoom was now captured
"I'm looking forward being with ya" Ken said with a smile as Pidgeot squalled
Ken continued on his journey as the man rides on his Pidgeot and flied in the air
A flock of Fearows flied past them as Ken smiled seeing the Pokemons
"it's such a good day today" Ken said before he saw a city coming into view "that must be Pewter city"
"you ready for this?" Ken asked Pidgeot as it nodded
Ken nodded back with a smile before they flew towards the city
