Inkopolis has been saved from destruction. Agent 3, along with Pearl, Marina, and Cap'n Cuttlefish have dropped the Octoling Agent 8 off in Inkopolis' outskirts. The shy heroine starts walking into the big city. She is looking around in awe at the sheer size of it, when she hears a voice near her.
"Why are you here?!"
She turns and gasps as she sees a blue haired male Inkling running towards her angrily. She starts walking backwards, but she quickly is pressed against a wall. She looks back at the male Inkling, only to find that there is another male with brown hair, and a female with orange hair, standing right in front of her.
"Brother, you don't need to do this! She looks terrified!"
"I don't care Bartholdi! Our species are mortal enemies! She must be taught a lesson for coming here!"
Agent 8 isn't sure why she is being treated this way, especially after she saved them all. Then, the blue haired Inkling starts punching her in the face. She cries out in pain as she is getting beaten up. Bartholdi and his sister try to stop their brother, who promptly slams them to the ground before continuing to beat up 8. The Octoling cannot fight back, as she was caught off-guard with how intense the punches are. Suddenly, she hears a ripping sound, and realizes that in this Inkling's frenzy, her clothes are being torn. Suddenly, she feels her sensitive chest get punched, causing her to tear up and cry out in maddening pain.
"You are not welcome here! No one likes your kind, and you will never be accepted here!"
Suddenly, he stops beating her up. 8 opens her eyes, and they widen in shock as she sees him charging up a Splatgun's lethal point-blank shot.
"I will have you respawn back to whatever hellhole you and your kind come from!"
As it finishes charging, she closes her eyes and starts whimpering in fright. Suddenly, a different type of shot is heard. A Splattershot's blast. She slowly and shakily opens her eyes, and sees the green-haired female Agent 3 in front of her. The blue Inkling is covered in green ink. He backs up, before Agent 3 kills him with a fully charged SplatBlast. Bartholdi runs up to her with his sister.
"Who are you?"
3 doesn't look at him.
"Why are you terrorizing this poor Octoling?!"
"We don't condone what our brother did, but now you are having him pay to use the Respawn Station for his functional immortality."
3 just laughs. Then Bartholdi and his orange haired sister run off to their home. 3 then turns to face the shaking 8. She gasps as she sees 8's right eye is blackened, her left eye is bleeding, she is badly bruised and battered, and her clothes are all torn up, revealing to 3, the Octoling's perky chest. While blushing, she quickly runs over to her.
"You poor thing!"
3 hugs the now crying Octoling. She tries to help 8 to her feet, but she is shaking so much that she falls down. 3 then looks around, and sees no one. She then picks up her Octoling friend, and starts rushing towards the hospital. Along the way, she uses her phone to call Callie, and Pearl.
"What is it, 3?"
She tells them what has happened, and they both gasp.
"We-we will meet you at NewBeak Hospital. And we'll be sure to bring the other agents with us!"
They hang up, and 3 sighs. She looks down at 8, who appears to have passed out. 3 nods, then starts doing a ton of illegal super jumps to reach the hospital quickly. Luckily for her, no one is watching. She reaches the hospital very quickly. She enters it, and the receptionist asks what's wrong. 3 just holds up 8, and the receptionist gasps before pushing a red button. Suddenly, a sign saying 'Urgent Care' lights up in red, and an Inkling doctor rushes out with a stretcher. 3 lays her Octoling friend on it. Then she follows the doctor as he is taking her to the Urgent Care Room. The other doctors there start trying to heal her, while 3 waits outside the room for the other agents to arrive. Suddenly, she sees them. Callie and Marie-Agents 1 and 2, a female Inkling with orange hair-Agent 4, an old captain, Captain Cuttlefish-or Agent 5, and Pearl and Marina-Agents 6 and 7. They all run into the room together.
"How is she?"
3 asked that question. The doctors don't respond. 3 shrugs, and waits with the other agents. Finally, after 4 hours, one doctor approaches her.
"You may see her now."
3 pushes past him and rushes in. She sees 8 laying unconscious on a white bed, and runs up to it. She then drops her voice to a whisper.
"8, 8, wake up. It's me, Agent 3."
The female Octoling slowly blinks open her eyes. 3 notices that one eye is still slightly blackened, and the other eye has a cut going across it. Then, 8 bolts upright and pulls 3 in for a tight hug. 3 wraps her arms around 8, and suddenly she senses that the other agents have calmly followed her. 3 starts crying.
"8! I'm sorry! I should have stayed with you! Then this wouldn't have happened!"
8 strokes 3's back to let her know it's ok. The other agents gently pull them apart, and then Pearl speaks up.
"8, since you have no place to live in Inkopolis, how about you live with me and Marina?"
8 considers it, before nodding in agreement.
