Hi! (≧∇≦)/

This is something I wrote for myself more than anything, I have a lot of ideas rattling around in my ADD brain and I love to write so I figured, 'Hey i haven't posted on here in years. Why not write a new story!' there are a lot of changes to characters and settings. It is also an in the future fic. o͡͡͡͡͡͡͡͡͡͡͡͡͡͡╮(。ᐤヮᐤ。)╭o͡͡͡͡͡͡͡͡͡͡͡͡͡͡

I'm sorry if it changes a lot or goes too fast or too slow and for any mistakes.

I hope to turn this into a multiverse thing, so hopefully I can take it that far! (。‿‿。 )

Here is part one! 〈(⁎→‿ฺ←)ノ・:*

Part One:

The bus screeched to a stop and a robotic voice announced "Gravity Falls". I slowly stood and stretched my sore legs, they cracked and popped as I reached up. It was a packed bus, nothing like the last time we were here and many were getting off either here or closer to town. It was odd to say the least.

"C'mon bro bro, let's go!" Mabel leapt from the seat excitedly, her long brown hair was tied back with a pink glitter scrunchie, her style hadn't changed much throughout the years sporting a baby blue hand knit sweater with a shooting star in the middle. She fit her clothes better now that we were older, I looked down at my own outfit, I guess I haven't really changed much either. I traded the shorts for dark grey joggers, I still wore red shirts all the time though they were now accompanied with a blue jacket instead of a vest. No cold arms for this teen! I adjusted my classic hat and smiled to myself, happy to be back.

"Dipper! Hurry up, the bus driver is getting angry!"

"R-right! I'm coming" I blushed as my voice cracked.

I rushed off the bus with my duffel bag and met Mabel outside. It had been four years since we spent a summer here. Our parents were finally letting us go back to Gravity Falls to visit after everything that happened. Not long after getting home that summer four years ago, our parents found out about the 'dangerous' summer we had and refused to let us go back. It took a lot of convincing and a lot of Mabel's glitter to finally convince them it would be safe for us to go back. I spotted Mabel chatting it up with two old men who wore the same face, though one had glasses,

"Hey kid, been a while!"

Grunkle Stan patted me on the back and I almost fell forward, "wimpy as ever I see" he said laughing at my fumble along with Mabel. I grumbled.

"We can finish the pleasantries back at the shack, it's getting dark, we don't want anything sneaking up on us." Grunkle Ford was as alert as ever.

During the car ride Stan explained how they went travelling together for about a year before getting too annoyed with each other to go any longer without constantly fighting. Unlike Mabel and I, they barely got along, always bickering over the tiniest things, especially when confined to a small space for hours at a time.

They took the Mystery Shack back from Soos who was more than happy to work for Stan again, it gave him more time to spend with his now fiance, Melody.

Wendy had quit right after we left, Stan said they didn't keep in touch. I just mean we will have to visit her and catch up on our own.

Not even five minutes passed before we reached our destination, a large sign sat atop the house; 'MYSTERY SHACK'. The place felt like a second home.

I don't really understand why we drove, it would have taken us like fifteen minutes to walk, though I guess they are getting old. I looked at my Grunkles, they had finished their greetings with us and now Stan was getting comfy in front of the tv. Ford was closing the door of the vending machine. I wanted to follow after him and help with whatever cool thing he was working on but Ford had insisted they get a fresh start in the morning.

I wandered up to the attic, our room. My bag was lightly packed, my laptop and switch took up the majority of its storage, leaving little room for anything else but my toothbrush, deodorant and couple changes of clothes. Mabel was already in there throwing her clothes around.

"Stop it Mabel" A purple sweater hit me in the face and I threw it back to her.

"Loosen up Dip. You're way too uptight. This place hasn't changed one bit, it's like we never left!" Mabel was already dressed in her pajamas.

"Yeah, you're right-about the not changing part, I am not uptight." I stifled a yawn and went to the bathroom to change dodging another sweater tossed in my direction. By the time I came out Mabel was passed out. I tucked myself in and closed my eyes, falling asleep almost as quickly as Mabel.

Narrator:

The summer passed by without much trouble for the Pines' twins. The town had really picked itself back up since it was decimated four years ago, many of the buildings rebuilt in a more modern setting as well as parts expanded. All the forest creatures went back into hiding, or at least most of them had. SOme wore disguises and lived among the humans of the town. More people had come from all over as well these past years. Ever since the tourist trap, Mystery Shack got global attention for its display of a 'real' sasquatch. It turned out to be a manotaur in disguise, the media moved on, thinking it a man in costume. but many people still go to see it, all none the wiser to its true origin and stay for the beauty of nature .

Dipper and Mabel didn't have to work in the shack at all that summer, they were asked, but with the larger numbers of tourists, the established employees didn't want the teens cutting in on their paychecks.

No one ever brought it up the weirdmageddon, then again when a giant demon triangle turns you to stone or tries to kill you and release his demon minions you tend to want to forget. The media attempted to cover the story of the mysterious fog that settled over the Gravity Falls area, only to subside a few days later, however someone would quickly snuff them out and kill the story before their fingers hit the keyboard.

Mabel spent the first few days texting Pacifica, making plans to hang out. They had kept in touch throughout the years and finally got to hang out, so they did a lot. I joined them sometimes, but he wasn't particularly interested in their gossip. Instead he spent most of his time with Ford. The two explored the woods and together they remade a new first journal and half of the second, they were far from perfect copies but they still had lots of info, as well as some research Dipper had collected before Ford's return to this dimension years prior.

Every night, the four of them would get together for supper and the younger twins' parents would call to check in. This was turning out to be a pretty nice and peaceful summer vacation for them all. Ford had asked Dipper to become his full time apprentice after the end of our coming final year but he kindly turned him down,

"S-sorry Grunkle Ford. I actually plan to go to school to make video games right after high school" Dipper had changed throughout the years, traded his adventures outdoors for adventuring online. He didn't have to worry about actually dying in a video game and that was a peaceful thought for him.

"What are you apologizing for? That's incredible! Any schools catch your eye?"

"Um...I-haven't decided yet..."

Ford laughed, "You have plenty of time for choosing."

"I can't believe we go back home tomorrow." I grumbled a little upset at how quickly this summer has passed by.

"I can't believe we turn eighteen tomorrow!" Mabel was jumping on her bed, I'm surprised the bed wasn't breaking, then again, we hadn't grown too much taller over the years.

"Should you really jump on there?" I pointed to the small divot forming under her feet.

"Oh it's fine Dippin Dots!" she jumped off her bed, "it'll spring back! It is a spring mattress!"

"That's not how that works Mabes."

There was a shout from below, "Goodnight kids!"

"Sorry!" We both yelled back at the same time and giggled, before turning the lights out.

Narrator:

Deep in the maximum security cell of Gravity Falls, a young boy about seventeen covers his white hair with the hood of a black robe. He was standing alone around a summoning circle, he had been trying for years to acquire the same powers as Bill. That was his goal but nothing happened, again.

"I must be missing something!" He slammed his fist against his cell startling the guard posted outside.

He frantically flipped to the next page of his notebook. Many of the spells written within were amalgamations of things he had picked up from various witches, and glued in pages, ripped from various texts and grimoires.

"BIRUUVOS TRISOLIA JOUBILUS VESIZIA SOULUS" the wind began to pick up, blue flames surrounded the circle, "BIRUUVOS TRISOLIA JOUBILUS VESIZIA SOULUS" he said the spell again, this time he stepped into the circle, he felt the power beginning to flow through him and he continued chanting several more times, eyes glowing blue. Suddenly, the magic stopped, he halted his ritual, his eyes returning to their natural blue.

"nononoNO! What went wrong! I did it PERFECTLY! I could feel his power!"

He read through the words again,

'Stars bound by fate

Two to one grants great power

A deal must be made'

"There must be something I'm missing! Stars have to mean the zodiac wheel and a deal for power has to be made for me to get what I want. Seems simple enough, so why didn't it cast." He had even waited until the end of the eight month as suggested by a note on the page. He threw the book at the wall angry at his failure.

"I will get out of here."

The wind swirled around his cell then out the window, it carried the lingering echoes of the failed spell and spread it throughout the town. Maybe it wasn't as much of a failed spell as the boy had thought, too bad, it wasn't meant for him.
