The city of Metropolis…

A bright, colorful city that is currently being touched up. After the invasion of Darkseid, people have been a little wary of what really happened. Lex said that Darkseid "forced" him to work with him and hack the VR headsets. But no one really questioned it since he was the richest man in Metropolis.

Only one group of people know about these recent happenings: the Super Hero Girls. The Toon and Wonder Woman were able to save Metropolis, including their team, from the grasp of the Anti-Life Equation, a powerful entity that Darkseid used to establish his dominance. He managed to escape, however, but the Girls will be sure to be on the lookout when he and Lex team up again.

Oh, and there was one other thing that happened after the whole debacle: the relationship upgrade of Jordan James and Diana Prince. They admitted their true feelings for each other, telling each other how happy they were to find each other, and had a long kiss that went on for a while. The other Girls, who knew of their feelings for each other, were ecstatic at this, which can be proven as they were all at their lair at Sweet Justice, watching an installment of Exploding Ninja Pirates from Outer Space. It had a romance subplot of it, which kind of relates to Jordan and Diana's. The relation was not skipped.

"Awww, that's just like you guys!" Karen was the one who immediately noticed.

"Huh. You must be right." Diana did notice as she and Jordan were currently cuddling next to each other. "They both kept it hidden from each other, but they were destined for each other. The two cuddled some more, thinking the same thought while blushing.

"Okay, I just have to say it…" Zee interrupted to speak her mind. "You two are so cute!"

"Thanks…!"

"No, really! We're, like, super happy for you two!" Everyone murmured in agreement as the two blushed at each other and stared.

"I love you." They cuddled again but made sure not to get too cuddly. Jordan remembered some TV plotlines involving their friends getting a little uncomfortable with lovey-dovey-ness. At that moment, he was knocked out of his thoughts as the crime alarm went off.

"Hey, the new crime alarm! That means there's a crime going on somewhere…" That put everyone into serious mode, remembering to watch the film later.

Double Identity

The city was currently being invaded by Poison Ivy and the Elemental, who teamed up to cause some nature-related havoc upon the city. They were both invading the Metropolis Department of Water and Power, planning on holding both supplies hostage until they get what they want: the total and unconventional reconstruction of Metropolis into a nature-filled forest. The Girls knew how important nature is, but not to the point where the other necessities would be ignored, so they all flew and dashed to the Department where they saw Poison Ivy on a throne and the Elemental on a rock. No, wait it wasn't a rock…it was a rock lobster!

"Okay, so we got that…" The Toon made a quick quip before returning. "So, Wonder Woman, what's your plan?"

"Well…" Just hearing Wonder Woman plan out strategies was enough to make him sigh on the inside. "Considering that the stone sea creature is made of rocks, there must be a weak spot…most likely underneath it. Bumblebee, you and Supergirl sneak under the creature and get to that weak spot. Batgirl and I will take on the Elemental once he's off. Green Lantern, the Toon? You two whack some weeds."

"Nice! Alright, let's do this!" The teams went off to do their own thing. However, as the Toon dashed, he felt himself beginning to blackout a bit again. He felt this feeling when fighting Darkseid and Luthor, but it's happening again, and he didn't know why…

Poison Ivy was admiring her and her comrade's handiwork. They both preferred Metropolis as a forest rather than a city.

"He always did prefer nature and preserving it…" She made a light blush as she noticed someone next to her, startling her. It was the Toon disguised with a suit and Groucho glasses.

"I'm with the Metropolis Nature Society wanting to give you this present for your efforts! Enjoy!" He gave her a present and dashed away. Confused, she opened it, revealing a cartoon bomb. She can only gulp before it blows, leaving her swirly eyed on the ground. The Elemental noticed as he was in the air, making an immediate beeline to the plant piper and carrying her.

"Ugh! You are your strange physics, always get the best of us!" The Elemental was expressing his anger at the Toon, who was currently bouncing to the music in his head.

"Well, it is pretty unpredictable!"

"Well, one day, your little powers are gonna be used against you! Just you wait…" The Elemental carried Poison Ivy away just as the vines disappeared, leaving the Toon to keep bouncing until he blinked.

"Ugh, my head…did we win?"

"Uh, yeah man." Supergirl was confused at his confusion. "Didn't you remember giving Poison Ivy that present?"

"No…"

"Hmmm…" Wonder Woman remembered the Toon acting the same way when they fought Luthor and Darkseid, leading her to suspect that something's up with his powers. "I think we need to talk to someone about this…"

"About what?"

A couple of moments later…

Right now, everyone was at the James residence, needing to know what's been happening to Jordan recently. He was told about what happened during his blackouts and he became worried. They decided to make a call to Peni Parker and SP/dr Mech, given their relation to how the serum's contents merged with him in the first place.

They had to take a test sample and run a quick scan through SP/dr mech. And she was shocked by the results.

"Ōno. Just as I feared…" She turned back to the Girls to give her diagnosis. "So, it turns out that when you merged with your serum, you merged with your serum. The serum's contents being out of whack with your body is… um… Okay, I don't know if this film exists here, but has anyone here heard of The Nutty Professor?" They all gave her a blank state, signifying that they didn't. "Okay, so in short, it's about this guy who makes this weight-loss serum. It worked but created an entirely separate personality that grows more rebellious, eventually wanting to kill the original personality."

Everyone gasped, not just at the story, but what could potentially be happening to Jordan.

"So are you saying that my boyfriend could potentially have a whole Toon trying to break out?!"

"Well, that seems to be the most likely theory. Now, as of right now, I can only provide two solutions for this. You can either make peace with your Toon side, not very realistic, or you can try and split the two personalities."

"So there's no other way to fight this?" Kara was worried about her friend, especially given what they just went through. "He has to have his Toon side removed?"

"But what about my actual serums? Would I still be able to use them?"

"Well, yes, because the effects are only temporary." Everyone was lost in thought over what they should do. "Well, is that all you need. Because unfortunately, I don't know what else I can do for Jordan." Everyone nodded "No." "Okay, well, let us know if you need any more help." SP/dr Mech made a portal in the backyard and rolled through it.

Everyone was now lost in thought over how to do this, given none of them knew that much about rising alternate personalities. They had to think of something or-

Then a notification came on Babs' phone: someone was causing a commotion at the Concert Hall. Suiting up, the Girls prepared to head out, even though the Toon was nervous about using his powers after learning what happens when he does.

"Do not worry, Jordan. We will be there in case you lose yourself again." He perked up at Diana's words, feeling a little better. He then transformed and dashed out with his friends.

Moments later…

They all arrived at the Concert Hall, trying to find out who's causing a ruckus. However, when they landed, they saw the place still abandoned, at least from the Toon and Wonder Woman's perspective, and no one was causing any havoc. No one could figure out what was happening and why Babs got that notification…but as they pondered, something appeared in the sky and disappeared. They all looked up, surprised by the sudden glitch. And then it reappeared, forming some kind of portal.

"What the heck is that?!"

"It looks like a portal, but is it from our friends?" Babs pulled out her computer to try and find out what the portal exactly leads to.

"Um, guys? That is not a portal to our friends' worlds. According to my calculations, someone is breaking into our Earth…but who?" Her answer would come in the form of an ambush on the team, with a gas that tranquilized everyone. They tried to escape but found themselves getting more tired until they couldn't take it anymore. They all fell asleep.

Moments later…

The Toon was in some kind of mindscape, floating around. He suddenly realized what this met as he made a face of turmoil.

"Hello, Jordan." It was his "Toon" side, who was floating before him.

"You?! What are you doing to me?" He chuckled before he gave his answer.

"Well, what every subconscious part of an empowered being's imagination wants: freedom. I want to be where the people are, causing whatever hijinks I can!"

"But you're making me go crazy in your attempts to do so."

"Hmm…I guess you're right…but then again, it's not exactly like I'm going to listen to reason. Well, looks like you're about to wake up in a moment. Tah-tah!" He disappeared as Jordan started to wake up.

He felt groggy. He found himself trapped in a room and chained on the ground.

"Hey! Who's responsible for this?!" The Toon squirmed as he tried to free himself but found his powers not working. He stopped when the door opened, revealing who trapped him here. "You…"

The others all woke up to find a spotlight on them.

"Welcome, Girls." They all jolted up at the sound.

"What the-? What sort of trickery is this?! Show yourself!" And show themselves they did. A spotlight dimmed down on them, revealing a man in a lab coat hovering off the ground.

"Nice to see you face to face."

"Who are you?! What have you done to us?! And where is the Toon?!" Supergirl was quick to try and land a punch on him but she stopped after he pulled out some Kryptonite.

"What, all I did was tranquilize you. Sheez, I kinda assumed this from you, Supergirl."

"Wait…how did you know my name?"

"Oh, I know all of you, but you don't know all of me yet."

"But…how?" The figure then chuckled a bit.

"Well, why don't I show you?" He then took out a strange-looking device. It looked like a medium-sized remote with a large box attached to the bottom. As he was typing on it, the Girls can only wonder what sort of device that is. And then they stopped wondering as the device glowed. Pointing it towards a wall, he pressed a button, shooting a beam from the remote that, once it hit the wall, made a purple-ish portal. The team was worried as they noticed a group screaming in it. And then it got louder and louder… and louder. Until the group came spitting out.

"Ugh, (dolphin chip)." One voice said this as an actual dolphin chirp was heard from him. He then got up, shocked. "What the?! Guys, did my swear sound…like…" This guy stopped talking as he took a good look at the team. "Uh, girls, Hurricane… what's this?" Everyone else on the team got up, and much to the surprise of the Girls…it was themselves.

"What's going on?! What did you do?!" The team was clearly confused, as was the other team, especially since they have two other male members.

"Wait, how did we get here…" One male, currently on a hoverboard, took notice of the man that brought them here.

"You…what have you done to us, Dr. Bloodborn?!"

"Well, guess you helped introduce me to your equals…"

"Enough of the talk, Doctor! What did you do to our friend?!" The Toon was still not there, and Dr. Bloodborn was about to demonstrate what he did.

"Hmm…I've got a better idea: why don't you go and find him. I'll make a proposition for you. But first…" He pressed a button, making a tube come down on the male members.

"Hurricane! Lobo!" The other team tried to get them out, but they couldn't no matter what they tried. "Don't bother. The tube is completely heroproof. Some new friends of mine provided them…"

"New friends?"

"Anyways…" He made the two disappear before he floated up. "Here is how our little game is going to work. You've got approximately five minutes to search for your friends. If you can reach them, I will let you all go free. But if not…well…" He then laughed maniacally as he flew away, leaving the Girls to immediately give chase.

"Come sisters…and identical sisters! We must find our friends!" They all dashed into the halls, spending most of their five minutes just running and running and running, given how big the place actually is. They had to endure several rooms of either nothing, or slight surprises, but the clock was ticking fast.

"Okay," said Green Lantern, "whoever this guy is, he's just as clever as…" SHe stopped when she had a realization. She thinks that Dr. Bloodborn may be working with…

"RING!" An alarm rang just as the teams were able to reach the last door that held their friends, which only meant one thing…

"Awww, looks like the friends didn't reach them in time…" Dr. Bloodborn stood between the tubes as the Girls were stopped before him. "Looks like I win!"

"We'll see about THAT, Doc!" Both of the Supergirls tried to attack him but found themselves stopped by an outside force. It was two hands that grabbed them and made them drop to the floor.

"Oh, yeah! I guess you were never properly introduced to my new allies. You two can come out now!" The two figures appeared in the room, revealing two people that were not as familiar to Hurricane's team, but were definitely familiar to the Toon's team.

"Lex! Darkseid!"

"So nice to see you again, Girls!" Luthor was in a warsuit next to his comrade, who only glared at the two teams.

"What are you gonna do to our friends?! And why are you all together?!"

"Well, turns out sticking within the boundaries of my own dimension. My time in prison allowed me to think, 'Why not try OTHER dimensions not unlike mine or yours?'"

"And that's what the G-Diffuser is for…?"

"Yup! And now that I know it works by tracking the villains and Girls of this dimension, we can use this to conquer the multiverse together! And you wanna know the best part?" He activated the remote and drew a circle around the villains and the captured heroes. "There is nothing you can do about it." That was the last thing he said before the group dropped into the portal, leaving the Girls panicking as a voice said, "This building will self-teleport in 10…9…"

The teams realized what was going to happen and the Green Lanterns, on instinct, made constructs to push everyone as quickly as possible out of the airship before it just popped out of their world. It did just as they leaped out.

The Girls, now donning their Lantern outfits, used their rings to carry their counterparts, and kept flying until they reached their secret base in Sweet Justice. There, everyone took a chance to take deep breaths, before Bumblebee shouted.

"What are we going to do?!"

"I don't know, Bumblebee!" They then noticed the other team staring a little dumbfounded, especially their Green Lantern.

"Wait a minute…you're all in the Lantern Corps?!"

"Oh yeah," said the main Green Lantern. "We're all in each corp. I recommended my friends to each of them and now…we're all Lanterns. This all happened recently."

"Okay, I'm sorry," said their Kara, interrupting the conversation, "but how exactly are we supposed to identify ourselves?!"

"Well, it depends on what the creator says. Give him a moment, he's been doing a lot of thinking lately…

Cut to the creator's room, doing some thinking.

"Oh, I know!" He got to typing, figuring out what he's gonna do.

Back at the lair…

"Okay, so here's how we are going to identify each other." Batgirl made something on the fly to help her team differentiate themselves from the other one. "So I have these tags that you can place, well, anywhere. For my team, they'll be blue, and for yours, they'll be red."

So from this point forward, blue is the color for the Toon's team and red is the color for Captain Hurricane's team.

"Okay," said Red Diana. "I believe this is a better option for us. So what do we do now?" The two teams stood, needing to come up with a plan...
