HEY EVERYONE, UNCLE SAM AGAIN! This time, I am bringing you another collaborative story from myself and dax0042! This story takes place after the events of Dax's story The Dark Wolf, and during the epilogue of my story Home! But be warned, this story does contain mentions of attempted rape, depictions of violence, as well as severe angst! So with that in mind, sit back, relax, and enjoy the story!
Spring had finally fully settled in Jasper. Although their were still a few patches of snow on the ground, the bright and luscious spring flora displayed their vibrant colors. As for the inhabitants of the region, the slightly brisk air did nothing to deter them from enjoying themselves, whether it was with friends of family. And two friends in particular were enjoying themselves immensely.
"CATCH ME IF YOU CAN, RUNT!" called a teenage auburn furred, hazel-eyed female, her "socked" blonde paws bounding around a flowery meadow as she was being chased by her new friend, a grey furred teen male with stunning ice-blue eyes.
"YOU KNOW I WILL, ANNA!" Runt called after his friend as he chased her through the fresh spring flowers, which ranged from fragrant tulips to white lilies. As the two teenagers enjoyed themselves, their parents watched on as they smiled, happy that their children were really getting along. Although, Anna's father Samuel, know as Sam by his friends and family, suspected that there might be something more to their relationship in the future, if the dreamy way the two occasionally look at each other is any indication.
"Sam? Sam!" Said wolf was quickly pulled from his musings as he looked to his old pup-hood friend and runt's father, Humphrey, his own ice-blue eyes looking at his friend in concern. Realizing that Humphrey had been talking to him, Sam offered a sheepish smile as his mate, Terra, as well as Humphrey's mate, Kate, rolled their eyes at the cream colored wolf's moment of total obliviousness.
"Sorry, Humphrey," Sam apologized in his lite Irish brogue, "what were you saying?" Noticing that his friend's attention was now back on him, Humphrey offered an understanding smile as he reiterated the question he had asked just a minute earlier.
"I said King is just about done with his sentence," Humphrey said, "I bet you guys must be pretty excited to finally go on your trip to Banff?" Upon being reminded of their upcoming trip, the one that had been postponed due to King's arrest for his crimes against Jasper, Sam's tail began to wag in excitement for the trip his mate had proposed just a month ago.
"It is pretty exciting," Sam said eagerly, causing his mate to chuckle.
"And I know Anna is excited as well," Terra added, only to jump a second later a shriek sounded from behind her, one that she instantly recognized as her daughter's, causing her maternal instinct to come in at full force. Looking to the source of the sound, the four adults saw that Runt had succeeded in catching Anna, successfully pinning her on her back as he stared at her with triumphant smile, only to have wiped off his face as Anna skillfully reversed the pin. While Runt's parents and Sam chuckled warmly at the display, the latter noticed his wife was still tensed up. With a look of concern, Sam placed his paw on top of Terra's, whose attention slowly turned to her husband. Sensing that his wife was calming down, Sam offered a warm and understanding smile, which was returned by an ever appreciative Terra.
"Why don't you head back to the den, dear," Sam suggested, "I'll be there shortly." With a nod, Terra began walking back to her family's den, which was located right at the border that divided the Northern and Western Packs of Jasper, the reason being so that Sam could visit his birth family in the north more easily. Before leaving, Terra gingerly licked her husband's cheek, which the latter gladly reciprocated before seeing his wife off. Looking back to Kate and Humphrey, Sam could see that they now held sad expressions.
"Is she still having nightmares?" Kate inquired. Sam sadly nodded. Humphrey shook his head as he spoke next.
"I would have thought she'd have moved on by now." Sam, despite his better judgement, looked incredulously at his friend, as if the grey-furred wolf had just made the most stupid statement of the century.
"It's hard for a wolf to walk away from an ordeal like that, Humphrey," Sam chastised his friend, "especially one who had to experience what Terra did!" Realizing his mistake, Humphrey lowered his head, pressing his ears tight to his head as he did so.
"I'm sorry, Sam, you're right," Humphrey admitted, his voice low as he hung his head in shame. If there was one thing Sam had to admit, it was that he could not stay mad at his friend, especially when he looked so dejected. Letting out a long sigh, Sam placed a comforting paw on Humphrey's shoulder, which succeeded in causing said wolf to look at his friend.
"It's alright , Humphrey," he said, a warm smile on his face, a smile which was gladly returned by his Omega friend. Looking in the direction his wife went, Sam decided he had better go comfort her in her time of need.
"I should go check on her," he said to his friends, "if Anna should wonder where we are..."
"We will tell her that you two need some time alone," Kate interjected, a knowing smile on her face. With a smile and a nod, Sam began to make his way toward his and Terra's den. Upon reaching the den, Sam could hear the unmistakable sound of crying from inside. And the fact that he knew who it was making that sound broke his heart. Taking a deep breath, Sam prepared himself for the emotional conversation he was sure to have with Terra.
"Terra, sweetheart?" Sam called gently so as not to startled the sobbing wolf, who quickly looked in his direction. What Sam saw truly broke his heart; his mate, the love of his life, reduced to a sobbing mess. Moving quickly, Sam quickly enveloped Terra in a tight embrace as the broken female sobbed into his shoulder.
"It's getting worse," Terra sobbed in a pained whisper," every time I close my eyes I see him, just towering over me. I can't sleep at night, I just, j-just..." At that point Terra just couldn't take it anymore as she let out a loud sob as she buried her face into Sam's chest, soaking his fur with her tears. Sam, his own tears falling at the sight of his wife so broken, pulled her tighter to him, gently rubbing her back as he began to whisper words of comfort to Terra.
"It's alright, Terra," he soothed, holding back sobs of his own, "he's gone. He's never coming back. We're safe." Pulling away from his wife, but still keeping her in his embrace, Sam looked at her with a steely determination. "But, if anyone tries to harm you, or our daughter again, I hunt them down, find them, and kill them myself. I promise you that." Terra looked at her mate with wide eyes. Soon , her gaze softened as she began to smile a loving smile at her mate, who slowly began to return the loving gaze. Bringing her head forward, Terra pressed her forehead against Sam's, both sighing in content as they enjoyed each other's company.
"I Love You, Samuel," Terra said softly, earning a chuckle from her mate as he pulled away. Looking into his wife's stunning brown eyes.
"And I Love You, Terra," Sam said lovingly. At this point, due to the very raw emotions that she had just experienced, Terra could not hold back any longer. Lunging forward, she Pinned Sam to the ground, her head shooting towards his, capture his lips in a deep and passionate kiss. After taking a moment to recover from the shock, Sam's eyes slowly closed as he began to relish in the passion he was receiving from Terra. But soon, he received another surprise as he felt Terra's tongue brushing against his lips and teeth, begging for entrance. not being one to deny his wife, he allowed her entrance. Soon the den was filled with soft moaning as the two wolves tongues battled for dominance. However, the need for air quickly arose. Pulling away from each other, Sam and Terra stared into their respective mate's eyes, panting heavily, basking in the afterglow of their impromptu make-out session. But soon, a familiar sent began to waft into Sam's nose. Looking to his mate, who now had a shy smile on her face, Sam, offered a teasing smile in return.
"You're in heat, aren't you?" He inquired slyly, earning a blush from Terra who sheepishly nodded her head, but took on a more seductive expression before speaking.
"And if I am going to be taken by any wolf, it will be the one I fell in love with," she said huskily. When he heard that, Sam had had enough. With newfound energy, he pushed Terra off of him so that he know had her pinned to the ground.
"My pleasure," he said seductively, a lustful smile on his face as he captured his mates lips in another passionate kiss. The fun was just beginning.
