A / N: Hey, guys! As I prepare the new chapters of my story in Rayman 2: The Great Escape, I will also create other stories and one-shots, so you can continue to follow me. This story is in the Super Smash Bros universe. Unfortunately, I don't have the games, let alone the consoles, so I follow the series via video or the wiki. However, I play Super Smash Flash 2, a fan-game that I recommend to fans of the series. With the end of this premise, I hope you like it!
On Final Destination, there was a two-on-two team battle. In the first team there were the two brothers Mario and Luigi, and in the second there were a huge grey dragon with the inside of his wings pink and a very sharp tail and the Koopa King, Bowser. The purple dragon was Ridley. He was the nemesis of a certain bounty hunter who was orphaned because of him, was ruthless and his language was composed only of screeches.
Luigi was nervous, not so much because of Bowser, but because of Ridley: before the start of the tournament, Samus brought Megaman, a blue robot protector of humanity, and Mario with her to a mechanical area, but Ridley suddendly attacked them, first skewering Megaman with his tail, then he also attacked the man in red, to whom he snapped his neck with a claw, and Luigi, when he watched the scene on TV, was paralyzed in horror, and not only by violence of the Space Pirates leader, but also by the sound he heard: it seemed as if he had split his skull. Samus, to in seeing her nemesis again, and who had just so badly injured her companions, attacked him and knocked him out. Both Mario and Megaman ended up in hospital for a couple of weeks: the former had a broken neck, while the latter had internal damage, but both recovered.(1)
''Don't worry, little bro. I have faced much worse than this.'' said Mario, who reassured him. Luigi nodded.
''Do you really think you can beat us, you idiots?'' asked Bowser, arrogant as always.
''I wouldn't be so sure if I were you, believe me.'' replied Luigi.
Ridley screeched, and Bowser attacked. He jumped towards Mario and tried to slash him with his claws, but he missed the target and Luigi stopped him with a green fireball, allowing his brother to hit him with a sliding kick, but Ridley emitted a fiery explosion of the mouth, which hit him, but he recovered and hit him from behind with a flying kick and dodged his claws, then grabbed him by the wrists, dropped and pushed him from underneath with his legs, throwing him on top of Bowser with a tomoe nage, a judo throw. Mario then attacked Bowser, thrusting his palm forward and emitting an explosion of fire from his hand, and at the same time Luigi emitted an electric shock that struck both him and Ridley, causing serious damage. Ridley then hit Mario in the back with his tail, holding him suspended at the tip by the collar of his shirt, and then he bit him on the right shoulder, causing him to lose some blood, before dropping him on the ground. He was about to bite him on the neck when Luigi jumped in front of him and hit him with his head, then started to spin in midair emitting electricity from his hands (2), then, he grabbed Bowser by the tail and threw him forward, allowing Mario to hit him with an overhand punch that threw him back at him, and the man in green pushed his fingers forward, hitting him in the stomach with a spear-hand thrust, a martial arts move, which defeated him. The Mario brothers were on the lead , but it wasn't over. Ridley grabbed his tail and was about to skewer Mario in the chest with it, but then...
''MARIO, LOOK OUT!'' yelled Luigi, who pushed him away and took the attack in his place. The tip of the tail had pierced him straight into the chest, and the younger brother tried to free himself from the hold.
''LUIGI!'' yelled Mario, horrified by what had happened. His little brother had suffered such a blow for him. Wasn't that because of what had happened with Ridley some time ago? He was even more horrified when Ridley began to bite Luigi on the stomach, once, then another time, and again, then continued to hit him with claws and bites, and pulled his tail towards himself, making the man in green's blood to splatter, then grabbed him by the neck and slammed him to the ground, dragging him throughout the Final Destination and slamming him hard like a chokeslam, and when Mario tried to stop him, he was bitten on his left hand. More than a match, it seemed to have become '' Stop the match!'' he shouted, trying to attract Master Hand's attention, but no avail.
''Oh, no, hands off!'' shouted a voice. While Ridley was charging plasma from his mouth, a mysterious figure jumped in front of him and gave him an electrified punch on the jaw, which caused him serious damage due to the plasma in his mouth. Then he threw him upwards with an uppercut and used a combination of two of his new moves which attracted the attention of many for their power, first repeatedly stomping Ridley with both feet, sending him back into the air between a meteor smash and the other, then, with superhuman strength, lifted the dragon above him and threw him away with a single arm, knocking him out. The match was thus canceled due to intrusion.
Mario looked at the mysterious figure. He was identical to him, except for the clothes: he wore white pants, a white shirt, a red tie and a doctor's coat with two buttons on the right side and pockets on both sides, and he did not wear a hat, but wore a a mirror headband on his forehead, which moved backwards the frontal tufts of his chocolate brown hair, and carried a black and white stethoscope down his shoulders. Other than that, they were pretty much identical.
''Dr. Mario?'' he asked.
''Yes, that's right. It's me.'' said Dr. Mario, but he was horrified when he saw Luigi in Mario's arms. ''Oh my goodness, what happened?!'' he exclaimed.
''Ridley attacked him wildly. It can't even called a match, but a beating, and now Luigi is seriously injured.'' explained Mario.
''What did he do to him?'' asked the doctor, who rubbed his chin thoughtfully with his right hand.
'' He skewered him in his chest with his tail. He was aiming at me, but Luigi noticed it and took the blow in my place.''
''He has lost a noticeable amount of blood. Don't worry though: he's a strong man, I'll take care of him.''
"Thanks, Doctor." said the man in red.
''I'm a doctor, I know what to do.'' said Doctor Mario, who put his stethoscope in his pocket and took Luigi in his arms, repositioning him so that his arms were around his neck, allowing him to lift him by the legs and carrying him on his shoulders, then ran to the hospital and carried him to his office. Once he arrived there, he gently placed him on the bed, unbuttoned his overalls and took off his shirt. The man in green was semi-unconscious, but he recognized the doctor.
''Doctor Mario?'' He asked, with little more than a whisper.
''Yes, it's me. You're pretty battered. I will give you an anesthesia, so I can check your wounds. You won't feel pain, trust me.'' said Dr. Mario, who took an anesthetic syringe from his pocket and injected it on the patient's arm. It stung a little, but the voice was reassuring, and Luigi fell asleep. The good doctor attached him to the machines and checked his heart rate, seeing that it was below average, but it could be worse. He checked his wounds, and saw bite marks on his chest, but the wound along his chest and back was the get started, he took needle and thread to mend the wounds, then disinfected them, activated the surgical laser and carefully moved it over the cuts, and placed a piece of ice on ithem. When he had to deal with the most serious wound, he moved the patient's body on his side to take care of it both in front and behind, more careful than ever, since it was the most delicate part of the operation.
Dr. Mario was a kind and caring man, but compared to the real Mario, who is cheerful but stubborn and sometimes short-tempered, he was more serious, calm and thoughtful, but not to the point of being apathetic. In Smash, they were distinct, but in real life, Dr. Mario was just an alter-ego of Mario when he was a doctor. Some people, especially the bad guys, thought he was a psychopath who killed patients with poison or that he had no medical license, but they were just lies to ruin his reputation, and the Megavitamins he created saved the world from red Fever viruses, the blue Chill ones and the yellow Weird ones. Half an hour passed, and the good doctor went to get a spare shirt and overalls for Luigi, then disconnected the patient's body from the machines and removed the sutures with the forceps. He heard a knock on the door, and Mario was there.
''Is Luigi OK?'' he asked, concerned.
''He's fine. He will wake up soon.'' said Dr. Mario, while the man in red sighed with relief. ''But first I have to talk to him. Wait just a little longer, okay?'' he asked.
''All right. Thanks for your help.'' said Mario, smiling.
''You're welcome. I'm like you, so I know Luigi like you. It's like he's my brother too.'' The two chuckled, before the doctor closed the door.
Luigi woke up and saw a face identical to that of his brother, except that it wasn't exactly him.
''Ah, Luigi. You're awake.'' said the doctor, seeing that Luigi has awoken.
''What happened to me?'' asked Luigi.
''Ridley pierced you in the chest with his tail and bit you. You had suffered the blow for your brother, so he was almost unharmed, except for a cut on the shoulder and a bite mark on one hand.'' said the doctor. "How are you feeling?" he then aked.
''My head hurts a little, but I'm fine.''
''I have to check your body. Follow my instructions until I finish the check-up. For starters, don't move, I have to check your heart.'' ordered Dr. Mario.
Luigi obeyed Doctor Mario's orders, as the doctor took his stethoscope from his pocket, attached the tubes to his ears and placed its bell on the patient's chest to check his heart rate.
''Mmm... everything is normal with your heart. Now I'll check your mouth and ears. Keep calm and stay still.'' said the doctor.
Once again, Luigi followed the doctor's instructions, as he took a magnifying glass to check if he had any hearing problems or an infection, and it was all normal.
''Everything's normal. Now, can you get up?'' asked Dr. Mario.
''I think so.'' said Luigi, who managed to get out of bed, and the good doctor put a hand on his shoulder.
''You are a strong man, Luigi. Mario would always be proud of you, and I see you as a brother, just like him.'' said Dr. Mario.
''Thanks, doctor.'' replied Luigi.
What happened next was unexpected for him: Dr. Mario hugged him, rubbing his back, and gave him a small kiss on the cheek. The man in green was surprised by the gesture, but recognized that the good doctor loved him as much as the real Mario did, so he hugged him back and kissed him on the cheek. Then the door opened, and the two parted, as Mario entered.
''Luigi!'' he shouted, running towards Luigi, throwing his arms around his neck and hugging him tightly. "Are you all right?" he asked.
''I'm fine, Mario. It's all right.'' his younger brother reassured him, hugging him back.
''I can't believe you took the hit in my place! '' exclaimed Mario.
'' If I could, I would do it again. I love you, fratellone.'' said Luigi, before removing Mario's hat from his head and kissing him on the forehead.
''I love you too, fratellino.'' replied Mario, before giving him a kiss on the cheek, and Luigi put his hat back on his head.
Dr. Mario watched the scene with a smile under his black mustache and wiped away a small tear. He had no doubts that Mario and Luigi were devoted brothers, and they would do anything foreach other, then he exclaimed: ''Hello, I'm here too, huh!''
Mario and Luigi allowed him to come between them, to Mario's left and to Luigi's right, and they shared group hug. After a minute, they parted. Then, a muscular boy, around the age of seventeen, with black hair and green eyes, who wore a black tank top, black boots, green shorts and green boxing gloves that he wasn't wearing at the moment. He was Little Mac.
''Hey, Luigi! It seems that you had recovered!'' he said.
''Yes, he recovered quickly. He is a strong boy, just like you.'' stated the doctor, putting a hand on the young boxes's shoulder. ''Would you like to meet me in my office tomorrow at 4:00 PM?'' he then asked him.
''Sure thing.'' answered Little Mac, before shaking Dr. Mario's hand.
''Now i'll leave you, you deserve some time together. See ya.'' said Dr. Mario. Mario shaked his hand, and before he left, the doctor patted Luigi on the shoulder, before sharing a handshake.

(1): This is based on a trailer for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, which revealed Ridley as a playable character.
(2): A Thunder Hand-based technique. Only Luigi can use this power, and he is often associated with electricity, even if he uses it little in the games.
(3): This may be a headcanon, but Mario and Dr. Mario are the same person in real life, but distinct in the Super Smash Bros. series. Also, since I like Mario, I also like Dr. Mario, I even have Dr. Mario World on my mobile phone. Also, I put a reference to memes that said Dr. Mario didn't have a medical license, or was portrayed as a bad doctor or murderer, which I never understood and considered stupid memes.
