A/N: Alright, first off...my Robotech muse has left for the moment so unfortunately those tales are on hold.

Second, I've been reading a bit of Harry Potter fanfiction, including the tales I wrote on my old Fanfiction account that I can't access anymore, not to mention I've been reading a lot more HP fanfiction and this idea kinda wouldn't get the hell outta my head so I'm going to do a one shot folder for now including an idea for a couple challenges that I started years ago and never finished.

Anyway, please enjoy.

Chapter 1 Faithful

November 6th 1981/Hogwarts Headmaster's Office/

Scottish Highlands/UK

The early morning sunshine cast a golden orange glow over the well worn desk as the single occupant cradled his head in his hands. Looking to the clock above the office door, the man sighed and leaned back in his chair, eyeing this parchment on his desk with a frown. Albus Dumbledore could not believe how last night had transpired. The Potters...his friends...were dead...

Betrayed by their secret keeper to Lord Voldemort, the greatest evil wizard he'd ever meet, killed James and Lily Potter before turning his wand onto their young 18 month old son, Harry. Albus had tried to get there in time. He had felt the secret break and tried to apperate directly to Godric's Hollow. He had not anticipated Voldemort having taken the time to set anti apperation and anti portkey wards at the boundry of the small hamlet instead of just around the home.

Albus had been forced to run from just passed the cemetery towards the Potter's home, seeing the flashes of spell fire through the first floor windows. Albus prayed that the Potters could hold out for the minute he needed to get into the home. It would be suicide of course, as Albus was feeling his muscles burn and his lungs demanding air. He'd not last long, but could hopefully buy the family enough time to escape to safety. He reached the door that had been blasted inward, seeing the scorch marks on the wall from what was a furious firefight. His old eyes fell unto the unmoving form of James Potter. From the damage done to him, Albus knew it was not the killing curse that had killed him. Steeling himself Albus turned to the stairs as he heard Lily beg Voldemort to not kill her son. Albus moved as quickly as he could up the stairs but froze at the flash of green that highlighted the door.

"No..." He'd croaked before the cries of the young child. The chilling laugh spurred Albus forward. He was feet away. He could make it. He could...A flash of green high lighted the door once more before Albus sensed the massive backlash of the blackest of magic failing to complete the spell. Quickly raising a shield, Albus felt his old body lifted and thrown backwards into the bathroom door, shattering.

Groaning, he rose back to his feet, wincing as he jarred his broken arm. He casted a numbing charm over his arm that hung at an awkward angle before conjuring a splint to hold the arm in place. Albus looked to the destroyed room and closed his eyes, tears slipping from his eyes. He'd failed. A sudden terrified cry had his eyes snapping wide open and moving his protesting body into the room where his eyes beheld a sight he could not believe. Young Harry Potter was gripping the edge of his crib, crying from the pain Albus was sure he was in from the odd shaped cut upon his forehead that was bleeding. Albus quickly moved to the crib, eyes not seeing any sign of Voldemort or Lily's body, smiling sadly at the small boy. Harry reached up, recognizing Albus. The old man scooped the boy up with his good arm before stretching his senses out, and noting with some luck that the wards had collapsed upon themselves from the backlash. He'd apperated right back to Hogwarts Entrance Hall, startling several students that were coming from the Hall.

Luck would have it, his long time friend, Minerva McGonagall was making her way to see what the commotion was. She hadn't anticipated to see Albus, looking as if he'd come from a battle, standing in the Entrance Hall holding a small toddler. A closer look made her eyes widen in realization, wetness appearing as her hands went to her mouth. Albus nodded and stumbled forward, darkness overtaking him. When he'd come too, he found himself in the care of Madame Pomfrey in the Hospital Wing. Looking around him, he saw young Harry asleep in a conjured crib. Sighing, Albus sat up, noting the stiffness he felt, while Madame Pomfry made her way over to him. He did note sourly that Minister Bagnold and Barty Crouch were also making their way towards him. He ignored them as he gave Pomfrey a small smile as she ran her diagnostics.

"Alas..." He began in a teasing tone. "How long do I have left?"

Pomfrey snorted as she crossed her arms. "With how stubborn you are Albus, probably another century or two. It looks like you'll be fine. Just take it easy on yourself the next few days."

Albus nodded and rose from the bed, groaning a bit as Bagnold looked at him expectantly. Albus gave a mental sigh before addressing the Minister's pressence. "Madem Minister. What can I do for you?"

"I want to know what happened Albus." She ordered, not bothering with any formalities. "Half the Alarms across the country spit out alerts at the magic pulse last night."

Albus paused, unsure of how much to tell. Deciding to tell at least some of the truth, Albus spoke, "Voldemort was defeated last night. He attacked the Potters' home, killing James and Lily. Somehow, I believe his attempt to kill young Harry backfired spectacularly. The Magical backlash I theorize was from the Killing Curse impacting some sort of unknown protective magic. One so steeped in Light Magic that the darkness contacting it created the explosive backlash from last night."

He left out that he knew just what magic it was along with leaving out the Fidelis until he had the chance to track down Sirius Black. He wanted to know how the secret had been betrayed, especaially as it was so far out of character for the man that was as close to a brother to James than anyone else. Even more so that Remus and Peter. He was pulled from his musing as Bagnold finished her triad, catching the end of it.

"...and it took a toddler to stop him." She snorted before looking to the child still asleep. "I still can't believe it. We need to summon the Wizengoment to discuss what to do now."

Albus pulled his mind to the present and rose from his desk chair. He glanced at Harry and summoned one of the many elves of Hogwarts and asked them to look over the boy until he returned. Stepping to the fireplace, he tossed a handful of floo powder, calling out "Ministry of Magic!" and stepped through for what surely would be a long session.

Albus stared directly at the wall, listening with half an ear to the Minister explain what had happened to the Potters. Albus was frustrated as he had been unable to contact Sirius and Peter. Remus had confirmed he had heard nothing from either and this worried both as they should have heard something by know. Albus was ripped rudely from his thought as the Minister finished her statement to thunderous applause, her face set in a smug look. Albus rose to his feet, his face a stoney mask as the applause stopped as eyes landed on the Chief Warlock. Turning his hardened gaze to both the Minister and Head of the DMLE, Albus prayed he had misunderstood.

"Excuse me Minister." He began, his voice level as a bad feeling coiled in his gut. "But could you please repeat what you just said in regards to one Sirius Black? I do believe I must have misheard you."

"You head correctly Cheif Warlock." Her tone smug. "We captured the Potters Betrayer and had him Kissed on site."

"Good riddence to bad rubbish." Crouch muttered, though Albus' sharp hearing cought his statement."

Albus was shocked and angered as the magic began radiating from him. Several members backed away as the two under his gaze looked in confusion.

"You...you..." His voice quivered as he clenched his fists by his side before snatching a piece of parchment from the podium. "YOU FOOLS! Sirius Black was innocent!"

Shock rippled through the room as all eyes rounded back unto both who narrowed their eyes.

"He was not!" Crouch challenged. "I have several eye witness accounts when Peter Pettigrew confronted Black! He was killed, along with thirteen muggles by that traitor!"

"SILENCE!" Albus roared at Crouch. Tapping his wand, he duplicated the document and made sure every member in the seasion had a copy. "As you can see, this is part of the Potters will. It specifically marks Sirius Black as Godfather By Oath in the guardianship portion. Many of you are aware of the oath and how it is worded. Had Sirius even attempted to betray the Potters, the oath would have killed him!"

Bagnold's face went white while Crouch looked to have swallowed a lemon. Faces around the room had shock plastered upon them, each wondering the same thing. How could something so terrible happen to an innocent man. Albus however, was not done. He turned to face the crowd, face ablaze with anger. "Sirius Black was not the Potters Secret Keeper! The Betrayer was Pettigrew!"

He rounded on the Minister and Crouch, his eyes showing the anger he was holding back.

"Had either of you two come to me, you'd have known!"

Albus shook in anger as he let his magic roll off him. Everyone now had a very good idea of how powerful Albus truly was. Pointing a a finger at Bagnold and Crouch, Albus's eyes seem to go white as power shone through. "I, Albus Percival Wolfric Brian Dumbledore, Chief Warlock, do hereby call forth Millicent Bagnold and Bartemius Crouch Sr to face judgment for breach of Oath!"

Shouts filled the room, as the two called forth were compelled by Magic to take the seats of the accused. Minister Bagnold was glaring at Dumbledore. "What is the meaning of this? We've broken no Oath!"

"You have violated your Oath of Justice!" Albus thundered. "By denying an innocent man his right to a just trial, you have viloated your oaths of Office!"

"He was a Black! He was guilty of something!" Crouch tried to counter. "We all are aware they are all Dark!"

"Silence!" Albus hissed. "Unlike the pair of you, I will not violate your rights. Now, you will face Judgement for your breach of Oath to the People of Britain!"

The Magic swirled around the chamber, violently, the two accused began to glow brightly. Albus watched as the Magic began to judge the pair. All eyes watched the sweat form on their brows. After several minutes, Bagnold gave a shuddering gasp before slumping forward, unconcious. Curiously, Crouch took minutes longer before Magic Judge him. Albus kept his gaze over the man as the price demanded was his life. What concerned Albus was the Magic shoot from the chamber and out of his sight. He wouldn't know for several hours just where it went. But at present, he turned his gaze back to the assembled members.

"Members of the Wizengoment...I call for Millicent Bagnold to be stripped of her position for vioilation of her Oath of Office."

20 years later...

Albus felt his 155 years as he read another report of the ongoing war. The war had stalled for the forces of Dark as the Muggle Military had become engaged in the War. Thankfully, it had been contained to the Muggleborns and the few Purebloods that had joined that part of the Muggle world. Sighing, he let a smile cross his face as his eyes caught sight of several portkey flashes from their reinforcements appeared. Albus turned and made the long trek down to the front lawn. He was pleased his request to their Allies for help was being answered. As he exited the main doors he spotted several camouflaged individuals moving to the perimeter with large weapons he didn't recognize. Curious, Albus saw a few of him look his way before heading towards him. Adjusting his glasses, Albus spotted the flag attached to the vest and was surprised to see that the first to respond to the request for help were the Americans. The man in the lead, looked to be in his early thirties with darkskin, stopped before Albus and extended his had that Albus shook.

"Headmaster Dumbledore." The man spoke in an interesting twang that Albus couldn't identify. "Captain Pennington, US Marine Corps."

"I thank you for your Governments quick response." He paused and chuckled. "I admit, I am surprised at how fast you and your men arrived."

The Marine smirked before nodding, understanding that most would be surprised. "I'll pass your thanks up the chain. Anywhere we can set up a command post?"

Albus nodded and motioned for them to follow but froze at the next statement he heard. "Potter, get your squad and follow the Headmaster with the gear."

"Aye sir!"

Albus slowly turned around and locked eyes with the young man that spoke. Green eyes that he knew so well. "Potter? As in...Harry James Potter?"

The man, Harry blinked before he nodded. "Yes sir."

Hermione Granger sighed as she read her parents letter, begging her again to leave Britain and to and join them in the States. She was tempted, to be sure, but she couldn't turn her back on those who needed help. Those like her. She knew how bad it had gotten since Voldemort's return for those labeled Muggleborns. She clenched her fists in frustration as she made her way through the halls of Hogwarts. She wished they could end this war. Shaking her head, Hermione turned the corner toward the Great Hall and walked straight into some man in what she recognized clearly as a flak jacket. Stumbling back, she felt a pair of hands catch her arms to prevent her from falling backwards onto the floor. Some kind of energizing jolt shot through her body at the contact. Her Magic seemed to be reacting to who ever this man was and she felt warmth course through her core that she had never felt before.

"Whoa...easy ma'am." A voice soothed with an accent her mind picked up as American.

Opening her eyes, they travelled up to the man's face that showed concern in his green eyes. She felt her face heat up as she sputtered an apology, trying to get over her embarrassment of walking into him. An easy grin crossed his face as he spoke to her. "Not a problem Miss...?"

"Granger." She said with a smile and extending her hand. "Hermione Granger."

"Harry Potter."

Hermione's eyes widened as she gasped. Harry rolled his eyes before sighing. "Yes, that Harry Potter. You okay?"

Hermione collected herself quickly before she answered. "Yes. Yes I'm fine. I'm sorry for staring. You probably get that a lot."

Harry smirked and nodded.

"Yeah. But not to the degree it's been happening here. Anyway, I gotta get to a briefing." He paused before he turning away. "Maybe I'll see you later?"

"I'd like that."
