Future Lives
This is a story based a few years into the future. Josh has grown up and decided that the Manchester life isn't for him so decides to move back up to Scotland to be closer to his dad. Tom didn't die (because I hated that storyline) and is married to Nicki (my favourite pairing)
Tom is now the head after taking over from Michael and Nicki is his deputy.
Josh ended up getting together with Lauren and they have two children- Freddie (5) and Martha (11)
Josh is a sales consultant and works in Glasgow and Lauren is a teacher at Waterloo Road. This is basically an entirely made up storyline of their lives in Scotland.
Chapter 1:
It was the first day back at Waterloo Road for the new school term, as they pulled onto the carpark of the school Tom Clarkson could feel the butterflies in the pit of his stomach as this was his first official day as headteacher. "ready" Nicki said turning to her husband in the car who was obviously nervous "ready as I'll ever be, let's go" Tom said confidently. Josh walked up to the gates of the school behind his wife and daughter, after dropping their son off at school. "excited love" Lauren said deciding she was more nervous than her 11-year-old. "yes, I think so" Martha said quietly "Just a bit worried everyone will treat me differently, I mean my mum and grandparents all work at the school" Martha said turning to her dad "don't worry M, you get used to it- I did eventually" Josh reassured her. "look there is nana and grandad now" Josh said pointing to Tom and Nicki who were just heading onto the playground "remember, its grandad's first day as headteacher today, so I bet he will be just as nervous as you- go and give him a cuddle" Lauren said. Martha ran over to her grandparents "morning kiddo, welcome to waterloo road" Tom said putting an arm around his granddaughter "thanks grandad erm I mean Mr Clarkson" Martha corrected herself. "Don't worry, you'll be fine" Nicki smiled as they all walked into Waterloo Road together.
