A long time ago before the war started a girl and boy were born. James was born in Virginia to Felicity and Samuel Hiller and Sarah was born in London England to Major John Philips and Lady Anne Philips in London England. The fact same birthday was only thing they in common besides that lifes completly diffrent and they would cross paths one day.
Sarah Age 10
I had quite the grand time playing with the dolls that Father gave me when he was on one of his trip trading goods with other shops in England. I pretended that they were at the grand ball of King George the second. "Sarah it is time for dinner my love." said Lady Anne Philips. "Coming Mother." said Sarah. She stood up and follow her mother inside. Sarah help her Mother put the rolls on the table while Anne put the green beans and while John Philips put the turkey on the table. They set the food down on the tables." "How are my two lovely roses?" asked Major John Philips. Using the nickname he used Sarah and his wife. Cause there yellow roses on his wedding day to Anne and when his daughter was born. He tossled Sarah's red hair. "John!" said said Lady Anne Philips she blushed. She was lucky to have to have a husband who was so loyal and devoted to her she wished that Sarah that same happiness someday as well. Anne was lucky to have met him. "Thank you for the dolls." said Sarah. "They are so uniquely made." said Sarah. She observe the china doll painted face and neat little dress that doll was wearing. "That because they are peddler shop in the far north countryside of England." said Major John Philips. "I do enjoy my business although I wish that I travel more outside of England. "Oh Father your so silly." said Sarah. She laugh for never imagine a place more grand to her country.
James Age 10
Me and my friend Richard a great time time fishing at the lake by our cabin we had a contest to see who catch the most fish. I got seven fish but Richard got twelve so far so he was declare the winner. James sigh to himself. He would to finish his writing but he knew chores had to come first. "James it time to come inside." said Felicity. Her blue eyes look over to her to see her headstrong boy. "Five more minutes Mother." said James. "Now James don't let me get your Father lad." said Felicity. "Ok I'm coming in Mother." said James. Samuel was a very loving husband to Felicity and James. But he was much more firmer with James than Felicity was herself. Felicity sometimes thought he was too hard on him but she would never dare say anything to Samuel for fear that he would be upset with her. James stood up and follow his Mother inside thte house. A few minutes later Samuel walk into the room. "Samuel!" said Felicity. Happy to see her husband safe and sound from his work his day at the Silversmith shop Ink and potts shop. Felicity gave a her husband a hug and kiss on the lips. "Felicity!" "James!" said Samuel. He kiss her back and ran his hands though her blonde hair. "Father we went fishing today with my friend Richard from school." said James. "Fishing instead of helping your Mother with the chores?" asked Samuel. "Well it was only for a little bit." said James. "Oh Samuel it was only just a bit of childish fun." said Felicity. "Well alright." said Samuel. He try to forget out it but his thoughts kept drifting to when James and his twin brother William were born. Samuel took a job at the Silversmith store selling the finest of gold bronze and silver coins rivals pens and journals. Unfornately they didn't have money to raise both boys and two babies was alot to take care of so they had to give William to a orphanage. "James I have a present for you." said Samuel. "It a reward for doing so well to with helping your Mother with the chores." said Samuel. "Here." said Samuel. He handed James a gold journal and gold pen. "Wow this is the journal I saw in your shop Father." said James. "It is." said Samuel. "Thank you.'' said James he hug his Father. Samuel laugh. "Your welcome." said Samuel. "Now I'll be like the famous inventor and writor Benjamin Franklin." said James. "Now do you have fish for before it swims away?" asked Samuel. "Father!" said James. "Where did you hide them under your shirt." asekd Samuel. He playfully tickle his Jams belly the bag of slipping out from under his shirt. "Ah ha there are." said Samuel. "Thank you lad." said Samuel. He then walk over to the sink and started to rinse the fish in the sink. Felicity was peeling potatoes to make for there dinner as well as pork and gree beans. Felicity then turn to her husband and put her hands on her hips. "Why do you spoil him so?" asked Felicity. "He is a good child Felicity." said Samuel. "All this hardwork all the time will make him restless. "Well I guess the boy deserve to have a little fun." said Felicity. "But it feels different without William here." said Felicity. "I think all this writing he will be doing well fog up his brain so much that here will forget what is real and what is not." said Felicity. "It will not my love it will make him see the new eyes." said Samuel. "And for as William well be together again someday." said Samuel. "Beside I think I know someone who was much of a writer when she was young." said Samuel. He gently tilted Felicity's chin so that her blue eyes were looking into his green ones. "Alright alright you win!" said Felicitty. "James my love will come here for minute?" asked Felicity. "Yes Mother." said James Felicity took a deep breath and so the words that she never thought she say. "James you have my permission to keep the journal and ink but must the journal to keep for a ledger for your Father's Silversmith store and then which when your old enough you become a journalist." said Felicity. "Thank you thank you so much Mother." said James. He hug his Mother. Felicity smile happy to have her son by her side.
Sarah Age 12
It hard to believe that I will be starting my starting first ever dance lessons. The tutor that Mother has arranged for me will help me at the house. The tutor saids that I am very graceful and elegant. It quite flattering to here that but I am just more than that. Mother was very pleased to here that but I wish knew that there was more to me than just being elegant and graceful. I am also a new beautiful gown the top part of the gown is blue with a blue skirt the middle of the top of the gown is green and the lower part of the skirt is green as well. The sleeves are blue with light lacy blue cuffs. Mother says I look absoutely stunning she says that enough suitors will be will be coming soon enough for my first ball. Sarah swept a piece of red hair that coming lose from her ponytail and tuck it back into place. When she starting to write some more her Mother call her in "Sarah!" said Lady Anne Philips. Sarah's Mother motion her in. "Sarah there someone I want you to meet." said Lady Anne Philips. "I wonder who it possible be now?" thought Sarah. "Coming Mother." said Sarah. Sarah walk in the parlor where where Lady Anne Philips was sitting and young man standing next to her. " Hello my name is Henry Jarvis." said Henry. "Your tutor and your Mother and Father thought I be the perfect partner to dance with." said Henry. "It nice to meet you Henry my name is Sarah Philips." said Sarah. "Well Sarah shall we be begin this dance?" asked Henry. "Of course sir." said Sarah. Lady Anne Philips motion for a couple of musicians to come forth they started to play a romantic waltz. Sarah took Eric's strong hand and Eric took Sarah's arm. Together Sarah started to count the steps under quietly to herself. "One two three one two three." said Sarah. "And twirl she said to herself. After her while she stop counting the steps and relax enjoy the music and being in gentlemen arms to dance with. "You are quite a good dancer Henry." said Sarah. "You are as well and and you are also quite beautiful." said Henry. "Thank you but if you will excuse me." said Sarah she loosen her hand from Henry and ran away to the flower garden. She sat on the bench she took a few deep breaths all of this was causing her to become very frightful. The garden had always been a safe place for her. When the pressures of having a sophiscated life started to get to her. But it was no match for Lady Anne's Philips temper at the moment. Sarah didn't realize her Mother was now hovering over her. "Sarah Elizabeth Philips." said Anne. She never used Sarah's full name unless was really angry at her. "What a fine display that was!" said Lady Anne Philips. "Mr. Jarvis was wondering what had done wrong." said Lady Anne Philips her blue eyes lock on her daughter light green ones. "Mother he I was beautiful." said Sarah. "So he said you were beautiful what the issue there?" asked Lady Anne Philips. "I would like man to know me for more than personality rather from my beautiful looks." said Sarah. "And Mother Henry is seventeen six years older than me I not used to dancing with someone that my age or someone that not Father." said Sarah. "By the way I made it seem that he wanted to court me." said Sarah. "Sarah my love courting is not so bad." said Lady Anne Philips. "Easy for you to say Grandmother and Grandfather let you start courting when you were my age." said Sarah. "Mother that not the point!" said Sarah. "All this cooking and stitchery and dance are too much!" said Sarah. Her face turning red the tears start falling down from her eyes. "Oh my dear I'm so sorry." said Lady Anne Philips. She gave her daughter a hug. Sarah cry until there was no more sadness left. "I shouldn't have rushed it." said Lady Anne Philips. "My Mother force me to to do lessons as well." said Lady Anne Philips. "But oh in preteen mind there so dull." said Lady Anne Philips. "We had tea time three times a day for that was a proper british woman running a household should for a guest." said Lady Anne Philips. "Oh I had so much tea that I was afraid it might run out of my ears." said Lady Anne Philips. She laugh. "Did you really have that much tea?" asked Sarah in disbelief "Indeed we did." said Lady Anne Philips. She and Sarah burst into a fit of laughter. "Mother would it be ok if I wait until I am older to have my household lessons when I turn sixteen?" asked Sarah. "Ok." said Lady Anne Philips. "But I want you to pratice on your writing and stitchery." said Lady Anne Philips. "I wouldn't always be fun and games." said Lady Anne Philips. "There will alot to learn as you get older." said Lady Anne Philips. "Don't worry Mother I will make sure to study and help whenever I can." said Sarah. "Now come back inside." said Lady Anne Philiips. "It not everyday a girl you age get to dance with a older gentlemen." said Lady Anne Philips. "But Mother what if he says something I that make me feel embrassed?" asked Sarah. "Then you must tell him how you feel about it." said Lady Anne Philips. "Ok?" asked Lady Anne Philips. "Ok." said Sarah she smile. Lady Anne Philps went back inside. Sarah went to the well and wash her face. Then she grab her handkerchief from her pocket and wipe her tears and blew her nose. Then she walk over to the well and started washing it out. Knowing she would have to use one time or another. Once it was dry she put it back into her pocket and walk back into the ballroom. "Mr. Jarvis may I have a word?" asked Sarah. "Of course Miss. Philips." said Henry. "Mr. Jarvis I not apperciate being called beautiful there more qualitys to my personality than just my looks." said Sarah. She crossed her arms gratefully they told Henry what on her mind. "I'm sorry." said Henry. "I didn't mean to insult you." said Henry. "It ok I forgive you." said Sarah. "Will you still dance with me?" asked Henry. Henry sigh with relief grateful that Sarah forgiven him. Sarah then took Henry strong hand in her danity one. They started dancing this time feeling very at ease. When Henry twirl her she Lady Anne Philips and flash her a happy smile. Grateful for Mother's help.
James Age 16
I really am enjoy working for as a apprentice for Father. I thought that writing in ledgers of how many gold and silver coins we had we be boring but it was very intersting. Father even let me help assist the customers in finding the right pen or journal. Sincerly James. "James...James lad." said Samuel. He tap his son on the shoulder. James look up to see his Father. "James I need to run by Peter Borrow's print shop to get some more ink for are ink pots." said Samuel. "Would you mind running the front counter for a while?" asked Samuel. "Yes Father." said James. He put his journal and ink pen behind the counter. A woman walked up "Hello my name is James what I can help you with?" asked James. The woman explain she looking for a pen. James asked what kind of men she would like when all of sudden a man walked up. James walk let the woman look around. Suddenly a man walk in. He had short black hair and green eyes he had on a red vest and brown jackets with black beeches and socks and black shoes with silver buckles. "Hello Mr. Client." said James. "Hello James is your Father here?" asked Mr. Client. "No but I can help you." said James. "What you looking for?" asked James. "I'll just looked said Mr. Client. Slowly Thomas looking around at gold and silver and putting it down. "Hmm Mr. Client behavior very supicious" thought James. "As long he doesn't straight for Father gold diary with the rubies and pearls on it." thought James. "Say James what is that gold book over there?" asked Mr. Client. It was almot he like he read James mind. "I'm sorry not for sale." said James "Oh James just one little look at the cover?" said Mr. Client. "Ok but must be it right back." said James. While James when over to the ledger and started jotting down how many items they had he didn't the Thomas sneeking the diary into his bag until it was too late. James look up to make sure everything was still it place. But it was not Samuel's diary was missing. It wasn't on the desk where it usually was kept. James ran out and grab his jacket and caravat quickly. He knew he shouldn't have let Thomas look at the diary in the first place. James when to officer outside explaining what had happened and they he needed a horse. The officer agreed to loan him one his horse and promise to arrest Thomas Client as soon as possible. James thank the officers and then rode off on the horse. He climb off and patted his fuzzy brown nose. James walk out and knock on the door and for Felicity to answer the door. "James why aren't you at the store helping out your Father?" asked Felicity. "Mother Father's diary has been stolen." said James. "Stolen by who?" asked Felicity. "Thomas Client he in Father shop earlier and he wanted to look around and saw Father's diary he must have stole when I wasn't looking." said James. "Thomas Client it been a long time since I heard that name." said Felicity. "Thomas used to be your Father's classmate in college and his best friend." said Felicity. "They used to fish and skip rocks by the pond." said Felicity. "But when your Father started crushing he also love me as well. "He accuse your Father of me deciding to court him instead of him." said Felicity. "He swear he get this revenge on on everything he ever loved." said Felicity. "James do you realize what you could have done?" asked Felicity. "The diary contain your Father's very special secrets." said James. "I'm sorry Mother I didn't realize the how special it was." said James. He look down at his feet ashamed. Felicity felt awful that she scolded her son hardly. "I'm sorry love." said Felicity. "I know you right from wrong and it was very mature to come to me or Father." said Felicity. She swept back Jame's straight blonde hair and planted a kiss on his forehead. "I would have thought Thomas would have gotten over his jealousy but apprantly not yet I'm afraid." said Felicity. "It Mother but we should probably get going." said James. "Who knows far Thomas would have gotten now." said James Together James and Felicity rhode off on the horse just in the nick of time James heard Samuel trying to reason with the Mr. Client. "Thomas this crazy this hatred and jealousy must stop!" said Samuel. "Don't see how crazy it making you?" asked Samuel. "Never!" said Mr. Client. "You stole the woman I loved." said Thomas. "Now Thomas not true I fell in love with her." said Samuel. "You'll find you own love." said Samuel. "Never love another person like Felicity by courting and marrying her I take everything you loved starting with your son." said Thomas. His green storming over almost making them look gray. "Come here James!" said Thomas. He ran toward James grabbing by the wrists. "Let me go!" said James. "Thomas please don't hurt my son I'll do anything even be your bride." said Felicity. She tried to to bink the tears there wanting to spill over. Concern and hurt her son like that. "No Felicity you don't have to do that." said Samuel. He rub Felicity back comforting. "I will not let you take my son or my wife or my diary." said Samuel. "Now release my son!" said Samuel. "Ok here the brat." said Mr. Client. He let go of James wrists. "But don't worry I'll find a even better way to get my revenge." said Samuel. Thomas then grab a match from his pocket set a crate on fire. The smoke leak into a pen starting a fire on it tip. The crate boards start to melt from the ink and turn into firey flames. The flames from started slowly come from one end of the room the other until the shop was ablaze. "James run!" said Felicity. James ran out covering his face with his shirt collar so he wouldn't breathe in the smoke. Samuel pull up his shirt covering his face as well and Felicity grab a hankerchief from her pocket and put it to her mouth so she wouldn't breathe in the smoke. They both ran out of the shop. Eventually the officers came by and used buckets of water from the stream to put out the fire. Then two officers came out and one officer tie a rope behind Thomas wrists. "Mr. Thomas Client you are charge of three unforgiveable deeds of stealing, kidnaping a young teenage boy and started a fire in Samuel Hillers shop." said the officer. "But I..." said Thomas. "Not another world." said officer. "We have you hang if you do." said the other officer. they walk away. "Father what you going to do?" asked James "All your money was in there." said James. "We are going to start up another shop." said Samuel. "Father that wonderful." said James "I cannot wait to help you out at the new store." said James. Samuel gave Felicity a concern and knowing look. "James my smart boy." said Felicity. She sallow the lump of sadness that begin to overwhelm her. "You cannot come with us." said Felicity. "Why not Mother?" asked James. Felicity start crying to say goodbye to her son. Lucikly Samuel answer for her. "Even though Mr. Client has been arrested there is no telling if he'll back for you or me or your Mother." said Samuel. "Luckily your Aunt Anna is willing to help me and Mother get a new start." said Samuel. Even though it not make any sense for James he wanted to be brave for his Mother and Father. "But who will look after me?" asked James. "My friend Peter Borrows will able to take care of you." said Samuel. His eyes start to tear up as well. "I will miss you so much." said James He sallow the lump of sadness as well and his eyes start tears. Then James, Felicity and and then Samuel. A very tearful parting. "Will I ever see you again?" asked James he pull a hankerchief out of his pocket and blew his nose he turn gave to Felicity and Samuel he did the same. Felicity then gave it to James who swore that he give it a good washing when he Mr. Borrows house. "We will be together again my love it will in God's own way soon." said Felicity. She kissed her son and the cheek and hug him. Samuel then hug his son as well. They walk away. And then James walk back to the house and pack up his clothes, nightshirt, journal and ink pens. Then James start walk over to Peter Borrow's house. For the first time was misearable and heartbroken. For he lost his parents and his jobs all in one day. Never in his life did he feel so lost about what his future would bring.
Sarah Pov Age 16
Sarah arose to a bright sunny morning. She grab her journal and started writing. I cannot believe that today I start my lessons in being a proper housewife. Although I am every excited I am also very tired my Mother made me sew a whole apron until 3:00 this morning. Sarah yawn the teacher name is Lisa Thompson. Mother says that she is one the best in all of London England. Sarah yawn and put her journal and ink pen when she heard the turn of the doorknob. "Who is it?" asked Sarah. "It your Father." said Major John Philips. "It to get up love." said Major John Philips. "I am already up." said Sarah. She unbraided her red hair and started brushing it. She yawn and stretch hairbrush in hand. "Are you ready for your first day of lessons?" asked Major John Philips. "Indeed I am although I wish I could stay here in bed a bit longer." said Sarah. "Now Sarah my love you promise your Mother that would court and start doing lessons with a teacher when you were sixteen. "Oh alright." said Sarah. Her Father and her always had a close bond. He undertood her better much than Mother did. "That my girl." said Major John Philips. He move a strand of Sarah's hair back he gave his daughter and hug and then John close the door. Sarah walk over to dresser and start to look though the many dresses that she wanted to wear. Sarah decide to wear light blue dress she the walk over to the wash bucket and grab the soap and shampoo. She took off her nightgown in the put in the basket to get washed. Pulling out another nightgown for the next night. Sarah then over to the wash bucket and step in. She sigh enjoying the warm water againsn't her skin. After she rinse the shampoo from her hair and clean her body. After she was done. She grab her towel and dry off her hair and body. She then put on a pale blue dress and ran a brush though her hair and then grab a hair ribbon to pull it back. Sarah then put on her gold locket that her Father gave her and put on her light brown shoes with the gold buckles. Sarah then went downstairs to have her breakfast. Anne was making some scramble eggs for herself, John and Sarah. Sarah sat down while Lily put a roll on Sarah's plate and some scramble eggs on plate as well. "Goodmorning Sarah." said Lady Anne Philips. She kiss Sarah on her cheek. "Are you ready for the first day of lessons?" asekd Lady Anne Phiilps. "Yes I am despite how stitches I sew for my apron the night." said Sarah grumpily. "Now Sarah it is important for a young lady to learn to sew your own clothes." said Lady Anne Philips. "Yes I know but not in the middle of the night!" said Sarah. "I'm sorry my dear but I should have stop sooner but I not you take be mad at me." said Lady Anne Philips. Sarah look at her Mother the woman that gave birth to her, taught her how to take her first steps and how to read. How could she ever stay mad at her. She couldn't. Sarah stood up and smile at her Mother. She then gave her Mother a hug. "I'm sorry Mother." said Sarah. "I forgive you." said Lady Anne Philips. Suddenly the grandfather clock in the kitchen chime 10:00 and then there was very strong breeze blew open the windows it blew ruffling the skirts of Sarah and Lady Anne Philips and Major John Philips coat. "There must be a rainstorm coming." said Major John Philips. "I can hardly believe the true John." said Lady Anne Philips. "For it it the first day of autumn." said Lady Anne Phlips. "It rather windy." said Sarah. "Lily would mind closing the window?" asked Lady Anne Philips. "Yes ma'am." said Lily. "Are you finish with breakfast dear?" asked Lady Anne Philips. "Yes I am." said Sarah. "Alright grab your cloak and I'll have Charles get the horse ready for the carriage said Lady Anne Philips. "Oh Mother must I have Charles drive me?" asked Sarah. It was not that Sarah dislike Charles he was horrible driver. He used to be slave in Boston New York to to cruel master who would whip him the face if made a single mistake because of the whipping he got it made got permitly blind. But he was very good at assiganating Lily with the chores but driving with a mess especially the road with a little of people. "I am a very indepent and the roads of England by studying the map." said Sarah. "It would be alot easier on horseback." said Sarah her hands clasp together her green eyes pleading. "I'm not sure." said Lady Anne Philips. "Anne my love she gotten more responsible lately." said Major John Philps. "Why it just yesterday that I saw her help Lily peeling potatoes for yesterday dinner." said Major John Philps. "I know that but I don't want her getting kidnap." said Lady Anne Philips remember it happen to my own brother." said Lady Anne Philips. "I know it was hard at having to lose Andrew but he was very navie and trusting of other people." said Major John Philps. He rub Anne's back. Anne blushed she look down at her feet. "Your right." said Lady Anne Philips. She walk to Sarah. "Sarah my love I'm so sorry I have not realize indepent you are becoming." said Lady Anne Philips. "Your Father and I both agree that you are old enough to go to lessons on your own." said Lady Anne Philips. "I will have Charles get one of the horse out for you then." said Major John Philps. He got up and started walking toward the sables. "Sarah you please ride sidesaddle?" asked Lady Anne Philips. "Yes Mother." said Sarah She sigh you rather ride foward but she not want to upset her Mother any futher. "Thank you Mother." said Sarah. She quickly walk out of the kitchen and over to the sables. "Hello Miss. Philips." said Charles. "Hello Charles." said Sarah. "I got Starlight all saddle up." said Charles. "Thank you Charles." said Sarah. She petted Starlight's white nose with her peach star in the middle. She then climb up on the horse back and rode off into the village. Sarah smiles especially on days like this when the birds were singing and the sun beat down on her skin. Eventually she made it to Miss. Thompson house. She climb down from Starlight and and walk to the door. Sarah flatten down her red windblown hair and knock on the door. A girl about her own age answer the door. She had brown wavy hair pull back in a ponytail and had brown eyes and had freckles on her nose and cheeks. She wore a red dress with white stocking with black shoes. "Hello?" asked the girl "Hi there." said Sarah. "I am here to for the lesson with Miss. Thompson. "Oh come on in." said the girl. She was were waiting for you. said the girl. "My name is Agnes Rain." said Agnes. She open the door and walk into the palor room it had a pale green carpet and light green walls. A crystal hung from the ceiling and there was a grand piano by the side of the room. There was also a silver top cook stove and one woodent table with three chairs there. "Miss. Thompson Sarah Philips is here." said Agnes. "Thank Agnes." said Miss. Thompson. She walked into parlor. "Well you it certanily nice to meet you Sarah." said Mrs. Thompson. "Well must say that you are pretty enough but it more of cleverness that help be a housewife more than anything else." said Miss. Thompson. She walk up to Sarah and observe her. She touch Sarah red curly hair and and used her cane to tilt up her chin. Sarah had never met someone so rude nothing even introducing her name she felt like on of the China dolls her Father had given a long time ago. Sarah knew at once that not like Mrs. Lisa Thompson at all. "Well I see you have Miss. Agnes Rain. She pointed to Agnes and this is Miss. Violet Barnes. said Mrs. Thompson. Violet had black tight curly hair and brown skin and dark brown eyes she had her hair in one long black braid than in a bun or ponytail. She had on a light purple dress and had on white stockings with black shoes with gold buckles. "Hello Violet it nice to meet you my name is Sarah." said Sarah. "It nice to meet you Sarah my name is Violet." said Violet. "Oh for goodness sakes Violet speak up." said Agnes. Violet took a deep breath and tried again. "It nice to meet Sarah Philips!" said Violet she was not used to speaking that loudly. Sarah saw the flash of fear come across though Violet eyes like a candle flame that was lit and then blown out. Sarah knew she had to step before it would get any worse. "Agnes it fine." said Sarah. "I can tell her whatever I want!" said Agnes. "Now now ladies we are here to pratice are skills not pick with each other." said Miss. Thompson. Sarah sigh that ridlicous argument wouldn't have to go any futher. Sarah smile at Violet. Violet at her. "Sarah I will you prepare a pot of tea." said Miss. Thompson. "While help Agnes and Violet start sewing some minature pillows." said Miss. Thompson. "Yes Miss. Thompson." said Sarah. She curtsy to her teacher in respect. Sarah walk into the kitchen and start to fill a a kettle with water it started to get hot and steam. When it was warm enough Sarah took off the stove and she sprinkle tea leafs into the teacups. She pour the water turning the tea a rick brown color. She place three teacups on some small plates and pour tea into each of the glasses. "The tea is ready." said Sarah. "Mrs. Thompsona siip from her teacup. "Well done Sarah." said Miss. Thompson. "I like for you to pretend write a letter to King George the third about the ball." said Miss. Thompson. "Alright." said Sarah. Sarah then walk over to desk and sat in one of the chairs getting a quail ink pen she dip in the ink and started to write.

Sarah then went over grab her cup of tea from the plate she took a sip to her lips. But she realize the teacup had a crack on the top of it. The tea start running down on to the letter she wrote smuding the writing. "I am finish Miss. Thompson. "Very well let me see it." said Miss. Thompson. She took the letter from Sarah's hand. She gasp the sigh of it. "Sarah the worse handwriting I have ever seen." said Mrs. Thompson shocked. "But...but Miss. Thompson I am very good writer it was the teacup that have a had hole in it and some of the tea must have spill over causing my handwriting to smudge." said Sarah. "Oh your the most impossible girl to teach!" said Miss. Thompson. Sarah had enough of Miss. Thompson. How dare so rude to her after she had met her that day! "Well I wouldn't stay another minute." said Sarah. She put on her cloak and headed outside toward the house until she reach the her home. When Sarah arrived back from the house she was in tears. Anne to hug her asking her what was wrong. Sarah told her about the her preparing the tea and that she fill all three cups but then realize one was cracked so after she finished writing the letter. She took a sip of tea the tea spill over and smudge the writing on the letter. "Well you shall not return to back to likes of Miss. Lisa Thompson." said Lady Anne Philips. Furious that someone so cross and rude with her daughter mistake. "But Mother what shall I do now about my lessons?" asked Sarah. "You learn great deal already but in terms of your writing I have a good friend mine Benjamin Franklin that just might be able to help." said Lady Anne Philips

James knock the door of the Pennslynia Gazette. Mr. Peter Borrows had told James about the apprentice saying it would perfect for him. No one answer the door. So James turn the handle to see a chubby older man with long gray hair that streak with white. He had on white shirt with a brown vest and light brown pants and black shoes with gold buckles. He wore glasses beside him was young teenage girl about the same age as James. She had curly red hair in a pony tail and light green eyes. She wore a dress that white top with blue trim and light blue skirt with pale blue in the middle. There was blue trim on her sleeves her dress she a gold locket aroundher neck and was wearing light brown shoes with gold buckles. "Sarah it wonderful to see you." said the man. James clear his throat. "Excuse me sir but are you Benjamin Franklin?" asked James. "Indeed I am." said Benjamin Franklin. "And what is your name?" asked Benjamin Franklin "My names is James Hiller my Father was a good friend of Peter Borrows he told about the journalist apprenceship here." said James. "I'm sorry James but the position is already filled." said Benjamin Franklin. "Unless you like to talk to that young lady right there." said Benjamin Franklin. James walk over to the girl.
