What is your wish?
"I'm quite surprised that you managed to enter a university with that brain of yours" A voice rang out in the room.
"A prestigious university." A teenage brunette smugly corrected and leaned back on his chair. "Perseverance and hard work can make things happen Reborn". The other in the room scoffed. The teenager continued, "that and your tutoring from hell"
"Of course, I am the greatest after all. I can make anything happen, even if it means making Dame-Tsuna thrive."
Tsuna flushed at that and retorted. "Hey! I'm not that bad, no need for exaggeration."
"Says the one who almost made a fool out of himself on the first day."
"W-What? I was nervous okay? It's not every day that you bump into one of your-"
"Crush?" The other offered. "I remember marrying Kyoko is one of your dreams" A man dressed in a black suit materialized, sitting on his desk, legs crossed. "Was one of my childhood dreams" Tsuna corrected and continued. "A-and that was until I realized that it's impossible for me."
"I thought you said perseverance and hard work can make things happen." The hitman smirked. The nineteen-year-old scowled (pouted).
"Well it's different alright? And that was before you happened."
"What do you mean by that?" The dark-haired man raised a brow at the statement.
"Nothing." The brunette answered, reaching out to the edge of his table where the man sat, he tugged on the sheet of paper underneath. "Now could you get off? You're crushing my notes."
Reborn didn't move but stared at him. "What is it?"
"Nothing." The man pushes himself off the table and vanished.
O~O~O~O~O~O~O~O~O~
"Excuse me sir, may I have a moment with you?"
"Hm? Sure. But I need to get back to work soon, is it urgent?"
"I won't take long. It's about someone we both know and I wish that you could help him."
O~O~O~O~O~O~O~O~O~
Tears were threatening to fall off the kid's face as he sniffed. Tsuna and his mother had been walking through the busy shopping district of Namimori. He had been holding his mother's hand, obediently following her as she shops through the street, until he caught a waft of freshly baked sweets. Slipping away, Tsuna ran to the bakery and drooled at the displays.
Tsuna turns to ask his mother to get the yummy looking lemon tart, she was nowhere in sight. Panic and fear rose up as the child started to wander around, hoping to find his mama. After a few minutes, tears were beginning to well up.
"Hello there." Tsuna squeaked and turned around to see white-haired man in green striped yukata staring right back at him. In his hand was a bowl of steaming ramen. Clutching the hem of his shirt, he cautiously stepped back when the stranger approaches him.
The man bends down to his level and said. "Are you lost kid?"
The six-year-old didn't know what to do. His mother had strictly told not to interact with strangers but aside from that, he didn't know how to get help either. So he sniffed and nodded, "I-I can't find m-mama…"
"No worries about that, your mother will be arriving here in around 15 minutes. Why don't you come in to wait instead of standing out here in the heat."
"B-But mama said not to follow strangers…"
"Is that so? Hm..." The man taps his chin with his chopsticks before continuing. "Well, you can call me Uncle Kawahira and you are?"
"T-Tsunayoshi"
"Well Tsunayoshi, we're not strangers now, are we? Now, come inside and wait. If you behave I might reward you with something you like"
"What is it?" Tsuna perked up at the thought of gifts.
"You just have to come in to know" Uncle Kawahira smiled and stood up. Turning around he walked into his shop. Tsuna looked sideways in hopes of finding his mother but to no luck. He hesitantly followed and stepped in. The wind chime that was hanging by the entrance suddenly chimed loudly and the ball that hung below glowed bright orange, entrancing the little boy.
"You can sit anywhere you like" Uncle Kawahira glanced at the wind chime momentarily before placing his bowl down. "Can I get you a drink Tsunayoshi?"
Tsuna smiles and settled himself on the sofa provided in the center of the shop. His fear was soon replaced by curiosity as he allows himself to observe his surroundings. Everything is close to being traditional. The furniture is made out of bamboos, topped with cushion. The tatami mat underneath seems worn out and some have burnt holes in it. There were display cupboards with plates in it. But something tells Tsuna that this wasn't a shop despite it having a cash register by the front.
Uncle Kawahira emerged out holding a small tray of drinks, placing it down onto the coffee table. "Green tea is all I have is that alright?"
Tsuna twisted around and nodded, reaching out to take a cup from the man. "It's hot." The man informed. Muttering a small timid 'thank you', Tsuna blows the surface before taking a sip.
"Now I promised you gifts…" Uncle Kawahira stood up and disappeared into the back of the shop again, mumbling a few incoherent things. For a while, Tsuna could hear the shuffling of boxes and crates falling onto the floor.
Wiggling his nose, Tsuna slowly places the cup back on the table. Pulling himself up on the sofa, Tsuna leaned against the backrest to stare the glowing wind chime that seemed to pulse bright pretty orange softly in the strong sunlight that streams in.
Uncle Kawahira finally emerges from the back, in his arms was a big bundle wrapped in black silk. He places it onto the coffee table and peeled off the silk cloth, revealing its' contents. Tsuna jumped down the sofa to get a closer look. There were 7 different things, a pair of broken glasses, a military printed bandana with a No.1 tag, a pair of red goggles, a snake toy, a gyoza shaped pillow, a toy gun, and a purple helmet.
"These are very precious but I can't really keep them." Uncle Kawahira dusted some of them. "You may choose one and only one."
Tsuna glanced up at the man before paying his attention to the pile in front. There were many that he liked. Tsuna doesn't know what to do with the broken glasses and helmet so those were the first two that got off his list. The red goggles and bandana look cool and the gyoza pillow actually looks comfy. But the toys are tempting as well. Tsuna bit his lip and fiddled with his fingers as he tried to come up with a decision.
"Quickly now" Uncle Kawahira urged.
"A-Ah, okay," Tsuna reached and grabbed the toy gun. Pulling it closer, Tsuna began to inspect it, it looked like the real guns in the evil villain shows he liked to watch on Saturday mornings. By the handle carved an elegant alphabet 'R'.
"Ah, that one." The man chuckled. "He might be difficult but I trust that you can take care of him."
Tsuna looked at Uncle Kawahira in confusion, opening up his mouth to ask but before he could, the man continued.
"Your mother is just outside the shop Tsunayoshi, you better hurry up to her now" He stood up and push the boy lightly to the entrance. Hugging the toy gun to his chest, Tsuna turned around and bowed.
"Thank you Uncle Kawahira!"
"Tsuna?!" Nana spots the brunette inside the shop and fastened her steps, worry marred her features. "Mama!" Tsuna smiled, delighted to see his mother.
"Where were you? I told you not to wander off on your own" Nana bends down to check on her son. Tsuna guiltily traced circles into the ground with his feet. "I'm sorry but Uncle Kawahira helped me! He even gave me this!" He pushes the toy forward for her to see.
Nana looks up to notice that there was a man standing not too far away. "Ah my apologies to have bothered you"
"No worries madam, you have a delightful and well-mannered son" Nana beamed at that. "Thank you for taking care of him, how may I repay you?"
"There's no need" He shook his head. "I just hope Tsunayoshi would cherish my gift." Tsuna gave him a wide smile and hugged the gun tight to his chest.
"Then please take these cookies I baked." Nana pulled out a few bags of it and placed it onto the man's hands who nodded his head.
"Say goodbye Tsuna" Nana grabbed her son's hands and bowed. Tsuna followed suit before waving. "Goodbye Uncle Kawahira!"
Kawahira just smiles, watching the pair disappear from his door. He turned to the counter where he had placed his ramen, just as he was about to grab it. It burst into flames. 5 different flames.
"Damn" He scowled. "Ah well, I could always order more." His cabinet then proceeds to spontaneously combust. He sighed.
"Be patient." Turning back to the pile of toys. "It's simply his turn."
O~O~O~O~O~O~O~O~O~
The sky was dark with clouds, shadowing the sun and casting the town into a dark gloom. Within the streets ran a child aged eight with three pursuers hot on his tail. Clutching his bag tightly to his chest, Tsuna made a turn to the left into the shortcut he had discovered during one of his many time escapes. However, his foot slipped, sending the boy rolling to the ground.
One the bullies barked in laughter, stopping in front of the shivering brunet. "And he thought he could outrun us."
"Didn't we told you not to run Dame-Tsuna?" Another scowled, stepping forward to grab his victim but he felt his foot stepping on something.
"Hm? What's this?" The third bully bends down to pick up a green gun toy from the ground. Seeing that, Tsuna's orbs widened in panic, realizing that his fall had spilled the contents of his bag. Reaching out, he snatched the toy from the other's hand, surprising the trio. "I-It's mine!"
"Oh? I want it" One of them stepped closer. "Give it to me Dame-Tsuna"
"N-No!" He gripped
"Hey guys, Dame-Tsuna disobeying our orders" The third one smirked. "We need to teach him another lesson" Raising up his foot, he started to stomp on the boy, joined by his companions. Cries of pain and chokes filled the air as Tsuna gripped his toy tighter.
He loved his toy, even though some stranger had given to him but Tsuna had spent a lot of time with it, playing role play with his mother, the gun seems to have complete his character either it was a police or villain.
'I wish they would just leave me alone' Tsuna sniffed, fat droplets of tears rolling down his face.
"Hah! Look! He's crying!" His bullies laughed loudly, kicking and trashing the brunet's belongings on the ground. Tsuna whimpers as the pain on his small frame continued as his bullies don't seem to be finished.
Suddenly, the toy gun in his clutches slipped towards the ground. "A-Ah!" Tsuna gasped, trying to catch it. But instead of falling onto the ground, the toy gun flew high up in the air, glowing soft green and yellow. 'I shall grant your wish.'
"What the?" All of them stared as a man dressed in a suit materialized, in his hands gripping the gun. His dark obsidian eyes scanned the situation before scowling deeply. Taking aim to the three bullies, he growled. "Scram" He shot, a bullet embedding itself onto the wall that stood behind the three.
Squealing in fear and unable to comprehend what was going on, the three fled. The man huffed, clicking back the safety of his gun before turning back to see the child behind him.
The boy stared at him wide-eyed, lips trembling and tears welling up, threatening to spill any moment. The adult sighed through his nose as he bends down to the child's level.
"You're safe now kid."
"W-Where d-d-did you come from?" Tsuna croaked. One moment his favourite toy flew to the air and the next there's a dangerous-looking stranger holding it. It's a miracle that he hadn't exploded into a huge wail fest.
"Here" The man answered flatly, tilted his head towards the gun in hand. The brunette proceeds to frown in response, tilting his head. "Huh?"
The adult resisted a sigh and pulled the gun closer to the child to see. "I'm a spirit that lives in this vessel."
"S-So you're like a ghost?" The man cringed at the question and smacked the child. "No, ghost and spirits are different Dame-Tsuna"
Sniffles can be heard from the boy as tears threatening to spill again. However, seeing the dark glare directed towards him. Tsuna whimpered, rubbing the sore spot. He knew that he should get away from the man, everything about him seems to scream dangerous but somehow Tsuna knew that he would bring him no harm.
Struggling to keep his tears in check, Tsuna continued, "h-how did you know my nickname?"
"Heard it from those brats."
The man lifts his hat and runs a hand through his black locks, muttering something to himself and huffed, "And to think that I would be serving a child…"
"Who are you?" The child asked and the adult looked down. Glancing at the Tsuna's bloody bruises and rumpled state, he sighed. Tilting his head, he used his gun to push his fedora up to meet the child's doe brown eyes.
"Reborn".
O~O~O~O~O~O~O~O~O~
"There's a way to set him free Tsunayoshi"
"How did you know my name? Wait, lady, what did you just say?"
O~O~O~O~O~O~O~O~O~
"Reborn! Reborn, look!" Tsuna dashed in his room. Snatching the gun off his table, he shook the gun excitedly in the air.
A green hammer came out of nowhere and smacked the boy across the room. "Gahh!" Tsuna yelped, crashing into his door painfully.
"How many times have I told you not to do that Dame-Tsuna" The ten-year-old look up to see the man he was looking for glaring down at him. He pushes down his tears because Reborn doesn't like those and got up.
"Reborn, look!" Tsuna approached the man and what was behind him. In his hands was an orange fedora with a white band wrapped around the base. "It's the same hat as you! Mama bought it for my birthday!"
"Oh? Still trying to imitate me I see" The nine-year-old flushed. Reborn reached for the fedora for inspection. "But it'll take you a thousand years for you to be like me Dame-Tsuna"
Tsuna pouted and tries to snatch his present away. "Don't call me that!" Reborn ignored the child clinging to his legs and raised the fedora higher. "And this is a fedora, you should at least know that."
"Eh?" Tsuna stopped trying to pull himself up and looked at the man. "Fedora?" Reborn twirled it with his fingers before slamming it down on Tsuna's head. The fedora was too big, it went way beyond and almost covered the boy's nose. Tsuna yelped and struggled to get the hand crushing him away.
"Ne ne Reborn." The adult pulled his hand away and hummed.
"When's your birthday?" Tsuna pulled the fedora off and glance up at the man expectantly. Dark obsidian eyes bore into brown ones, after awhile, the man answered.
"Thirteenth of October"
"What?!" Tsuna's face fell and his eyebrows furrowed. "That's yesterday! Why didn't you say that it's your birthday!" The adult didn't reply and pushed the fedora down again. "Ngh-! Reborn!" He whined and pushed the arm off.
"I know! Reborn, I wish that I have your favourite cake!"
"What?"
"Do it! Do it!" The child bounced excitedly, gripping on Reborn's pants as the orange fedora fell off. The spirit sighed and muttered. "I shall grant your wish"
A whole tiramisu cake appeared on the child's desk because Reborn doesn't trust those flimsy arms attached to Tsuna's body. Tsuna shrieked in excitement and ran across the room to see.
"Reborn!" He turned around and declared. "This is your cake! We're celebrating your birthday! Wait, I'll ask mama for candles" Reborn watched as the kid dashed out of his room, before switching to the cake on the table.
Tsuna's word echoed in his head, 'We're celebrating your birthday!'
He huffed in amusement.
Pushing himself off the bedpost he's leaning on, he reached out to scoop a dollop of brown cream dusted with coffee powder to his fingers and stared. Tsuna's head popped out of the entrance. "Ne Reborn, can I have a slice?"
"No"
"Heeh? But I wished for it and it's looked tasty too…" Tsuna walked in, his arms full of paper plates and candles. He looked up to see Reborn smirking at him, "ah! Reborn! Don't use your fingers!"
O~O~O~O~O~O~O~O~O~
"Reborn! Why would you do that?!"
"You're such a scaredy-cat"
"Bad Reborn!"
"Maybe next time I should just make a real zombie huh?"
"No!"
O~O~O~O~O~O~O~O~O~
"Sensei!" The bully wailed, arms full of his over-flowing hair that refuse to be short. "Dame-Tsuna did this!" He shrieked.
"Nonsense!" She scolded. "That's impossible. Now stop fooling around and clean yourself up." The bully wailed louder when he spots reptiles crawling down the walls and reaching for his nest of hair.
Tsuna, who was sprawled on the floor, looks at the sight with horrid but soon smiles when the toy gun in his bag glowed. A warm hand squishes his head down but he giggled. Looking up to the man who is invisible to the other, he gave him a wide smile. Reborn push down the fluff head harder.
O~O~O~O~O~O~O~O~O~
"You have four wishes, Dame-Tsuna"
"Four? But you said five just now"
"You used the first one just now you idiot"
O~O~O~O~O~O~O~O~O~
"Why is her face covered?" The fifteen-year old's voice cracked as he gripped the sheets tightly. The people around him remained silent for a moment before a doctor answered.
"She…she fought hard but…"
"We're sorry for your loss."
The people in whites left the teen with his deceased mother alone in the room. Sobs and gasps filled the room, the sounds from the television buzzing softly in the background.
Reborn appeared in the sit in the corner of the white room, never speaking up as the hours passed and daylight fell, darkness of night covered them except for the still running tv.
'The criminal is still at large and the police have reasons to believe he isn't acting alone. Today, another innocent citizen has claimed victim-'
"Say…Reborn" Dead brown eyes rimmed with dark red circles looks up. The shine is had before had completely vanished, leaving a painful empty stare. Rage bubbled up inside Reborn at the sight of it.
"What is it Tsuna"
"You said you can grant anything right? Anything." The adult man stared at the tight grip on the sheet, blood coated the edges of it. "Yes"
"I…I wish-…" Tsuna sighed breathlessly, lifting the sheets up to his chest. "I-I wish that…" His voice got caught in his throat and tears once again stream endlessly down his face. He tries again, this time his voice cracked. "I wished that he-"
A warm hand rest upon his. Tsuna looks up to see Reborn sitting beside him, dark eyes piercing through his. The hand squeezed his lightly as if giving him strength. Tsuna tangled their fingers clumsily, gripping it tightly, not caring if his nails dug into the other or how his blood drip down. Drawing a breath, he says in a firm tone.
"I wish them hell"
For the shine to come back, Reborn stands up straight. "I shall grant your wish"
O~O~O~O~O~O~O~O~O~
"Ne Reborn"
"What?"
"What happened if I use all the wishes?"
"Then you get no more, I'll go back to my vessel until another finds me"
"Hah? For how long?"
"…"
"Reborn?"
"I'm not a blessed being Tsuna. It is our curse, to carry it out and serve it till…"
"Till?"
"You're asking awfully lot of questions today Dame-Tsuna, what happened to your math homework?"
"A-Ah, don't shoot me! I'm stuck okay?"
"Get back to it, now."
"H-Hai!"
"…"
"But…but you don't have to worry much about it Reborn. I have three more and I'll make sure you won't have to get stuck in there as long as I live"
O~O~O~O~O~O~O~O~O~
"Look Reborn look!" Tsuna waved the degree after closing the door. "I did it! Hah! I did it! I told you I could do it"
The man leaning against the table smirked, picking up a steaming mug of coffee. "I didn't say I doubted you."
Tsuna stopped on his tracks and his arm slacked, looking at the other with a blank face. "Oh yeah sure, you didn't. Uhuh, yup. I guess all those, 'Dame-Tsuna, just use a wish and spare yourself' or 'I really don't want to live in a dump with you' has anything to do with it."
"It was motivation." Reborn smirked into his cup and sipped.
"Motivation my ass, but now I actually did it! And now you're gonna-WAH!" Tsuna stepped on his robe and lost balance. Instead of having an exciting reunion with the carpeted floor, he's met with warm arms wrapping around him. "Now 24 and you're still tripping on your feet." Reborn chuckled, face leaning close to Tsuna's. "I didn't trip on my feet…" Tsuna voice slowly died down as his face grows red.
"Well what are you going to do now hm?" The arms around him tightened and Tsuna snaked his around the body before him. "I could find a better job now with this but first."
He titled his head up and place the chin on the firm chest, a huge grin adorned his lips. "I expect the reward you promised me. That's the only motivation that worked."
Reborn smirked softly, raising a hand to cup the brunette's face. "Make me dinner first, dame-Tsuna, and get us out of this pathetic excuse of an apartment."
"It's not pathetic!" Tsuna yelled. Reborn laughed.
O~O~O~O~O~O~O~O~O~
"H-How?"
"…I think you already know the answer, Tsunayoshi"
"…So I just wish for it?"
"Yes, but there must be a reason why you haven't right?"
"I-I…He's always with me all my life, I c-can't-"
"Yes, Tsunayoshi. If you wish for Reborn's freedom. All his memory being a vessel spirit disappears and that includes your time with him. But if you truly love him, then you must."
"…"
"But you must understand that-"
"I understand… May I know your name?"
"You may call me Luce"
"Thank you for your time, Lady Luce"
"Do it for him"
"…"
"…"
"…I'm sorry I must go now"
O~O~O~O~O~O~O~O~O~
Tsuna jab in the keys and twisted it. Kicking the door open with his foot, he struggled not to let the groceries in hand fall. Slamming the door shut with his back, Tsuna called out. "Reborn?"
"Did you get my coffee?" A voice rang out from behind and Tsuna leaned back on the solid body. "Those that you want are expensive Reborn. I'll get it after I pay this month's rent. Why do you have to pick a penthouse, seriously."
"I have standards to achieve dame-Tsuna" Reborn said, he reached out to scoop the groceries from the man's hands. "And since I can't do much, I expect you to do it for me"
Tsuna huffed and followed the man into the kitchen. "Speaking of standards, I think I have the perfect gift for you this year" He beamed.
"Ho? I've heard that phrase a lot of times." Reborn place the brown bags onto the table and turned around, crossing his ankles. "What's gonna make it different this time?"
"You're going to like it" Tsuna's smile faltered.
"What's wrong?" Reborn reach out to grab his hand, pulling him closer. Tsuna looks down, his fingers playing with Reborn's idly as silence fell.
"I have two wishes left right?" Tsuna's eyes glistened immediately as he bit his lips.
"What of it?" Reborn tilted Tsuna's head to have a better look. A treacherous sob slipped his lips as Tsuna whispered.
"I'm gonna use it. For the last time" He raises his hands to cup Reborn's face, caressing his cheek softly as he gave him a smile. "I'm sorry."
The hitman immediately frowned.
"Reborn, I wish…I wish for your freedom." White light engulfed them both as Tsuna watched Reborn's visage morphed into shock. The light grows brighter for a moment before it fades, taking the one in his arms. Teardrops that never seem to end even when he was sure they were spent for the last few weeks, drop to the ground.
"I shall grant your wish"
O~O~O~O~O~O~O~O~O~
"-na"
The days passed were a blur, days turned to weeks and weeks turned to months. He can't remember the last time he laughed. Not since he made his latest wish.
Most of the times, the brunet hopes that whenever he wakes up or comes home, he'll see the man he so desires. There were even moments where he waits for a green hammer to appear out of nowhere and smack him shitless, waking him up from the nightmare. Hell, he would even be happy if he wakes up being tied to a tree of hungry man-eating lizards. But Tsuna's sure that he's living in a nightmare called reality. A reality where he wished for Reborn's freedom. A reality where Reborn is somewhere out there living life in lavish, not missing him.
But did he regret it?
Tsuna often questions himself the same question. Yes. Because he's dying inside. Every day felt like hell and every time he's greeted to an empty house, an empty home. He felt like he's being ripped apart inside, it tormented him. Sometimes he wishes that he didn't make the wish in the first place.
No. Because Tsuna more often than once has caught Reborn looking out the outside world, eyes distant and blank. Those beautiful yet sad orbs trailing people on the streets, laughing, talking, interacting, living. Tsuna knew he wasn't enough, never had been enough. He knew he would regret it but not when the other looks so…doleful. He just can't.
"Tsuna!" A scream pierces his left ear. "W-what?"
"Focus!" His co-worker sternly tapped his table. "This project would bring the company to success! I don't know what happened to you, but I need you to work on it!"
"A-Ah of course." Tsuna shuffled his papers, bumping and knocking utensils off his table. The other huffed and strode out, slamming the door, leaving Tsuna in his office.
The brunette sighed. Rubbing his dark circle, he whispered to himself. "Reborn would flip if he were to see me like this… Pathetic."
Picking up the papers to read. The words blurred and everything looked watery. Tsuna huffed out a wet laugh. Propping his elbows on the desk, Tsuna presses his head against the wrists.
"I can't believe this." After so long. "God, Reborn how much I miss you."
O~O~O~O~O~O~O~O~O~
"Sir, may I have a moment of your time?" A man looks back to see a woman dressed in a strange white gown and an overly large hat standing behind him in an alley.
"I'm sorry but I'm busy at the moment." Dismissing her quickly, Reborn steps out as he slips his gun away. His target is moving.
"Even though you'll regret it?" He looks back to see the woman smiling softly at him.
"What do you mean?"
O~O~O~O~O~O~O~O~O~
At a glance, he seems completely relaxed. Legs crossed, lying against the plush chair, watching the heavy rain battling against the window. But no, inside, it mirrors the state of the weather, if not, even more ferocious.
A soft yet frustrated sigh was all he let out.
He resisted the urge to tap impatiently nor to check the time too often. An untouched wine in front of him, left by a flirtatious stewardess that won't be coming back anytime soon with the dark glare he shoots after she tries to get touchy.
How annoying. How selfish. How idiotic. How irritating.
That fool.
He couldn't wait, not after knowing, remembering, everything. Taking the first flight to Japan, Reborn never felt so insecure in his life.
O~O~O~O~O~O~O~O~O~
When Tsuna first saw his door wide open. Hope was the first thing that burst within, dropping documents, he rushed in. The door banging against the adjacent wall loudly. But he was met with a disaster.
Almost every door in the house was wide open, cabinets flipped open. Drawers, clothes, books strewed about the floor. Cupboards pushed out of place, furniture tipped, some even missing.
Tsuna could feel the growing tiredness in the back of his mind. Sighing loudly, he trudges towards a small green toy gun on the floor. 'At least this is alright' Falling to his knees, he picks it up. Fingers caressing the surface, tracing the alphabet softly. That's when something cold and sharp was pressed against his neck.
It pricked his skin, drawing blood. But he was so tired that he didn't even listen to his robber talking. So tired that he didn't mind that knife pressing harder into his flesh. Maybe, maybe, he should just ask him to do it. To end it. Things would be so much easier then.
A loud bang startled Tsuna out of his thought. His robber decided to fall on him, crushing him and drooled. He pushed him off, shocked, then realised that it wasn't drool. But blood.
"Chaos."
Tsuna turns his head to the open door. And the shock he felt at that moment was nothing compared to what he ever felt before. And it was the best.
O~O~O~O~O~O~O~O~O~
"I can't believe you thought that I was a hallucination."
"Shut up. Stop, stop laughing! You were gone for a while and I was having a really hard time so give me a break."
"You threw your toy gun at me."
"I'm sorry okay? And it was your vessel"
"And passed out after it hit me."
"Stop."
"Just how much did you miss me."
"You can't imagine."
"Then, why did you do it."
"…"
"I… wanted you to be happy."
"I was happy Dame-Tsuna."
"Happier."
"You fool."
O~O~O~O~O~O~O~O~O~
"Say…Reborn, I have one last wish right?" Tsuna finally asks, shifting closer to the warmth. Gripping the other's dress shirt tightly.
"I thought you said it was your last?" Reborn wraps an arm around him and pulls him close, sipping his favourite coffee.
"Well, I didn't think this would happen." Tsuna buries his face into the man's chest, muffling his voice. Reborn smiled, running his fingers through the soft brown hair, relishing the feeling of how the strands run through his finger, like how it always been. "What is it?"
Tsuna peeked out from his hiding face. Tilting his head up, he beams. "I wish for you to stay with me"
He watched as Reborn's smile grew wider as he whispered,
"I shall grant your wish."
O~O~O~O~O~O~O~O~O~
This sat in my files for sometime already. I think it uhh was typed out two years ago OwO''. Saw it and decided to post it.
I'll be honest. This almost ended with Tsuna dying and Reborn suffering even more :DD.
Basically, Reborn became a hitman after Tsuna releases him and forget everything about his life as a spirit vessel.
First wish: Bully
Second wish: Cake
Third wish: Annihilation
