Author's Note, Hello everyone! I'm sorry I haven't updated in FOREVER. There is no excuse, I have been lazy. However do not fear, I have NOT abandoned my Harry Potter fic at all. In fact I am writing chapter 4 right now. I just thought that since Seraph of the End is one of my fave anime series, why not write a fic on it eh? I feel like it's so underappreciated. I admit it's not that popular with fics, so I thought I would make one of my own. Your support for my fics really mean a lot to me, it makes me rlly happy whenever I see a review or someone likes or follows my stories! I love all u guys so much. And please everyone be careful going outside! Covid-19 is seriously scary. I'm one of those people in the high risk groups so I have been House-bound for the past month. (my grades have taken a serious hit due to that...) Everyone stay safe and keep washing your hands! Support the NHS they are all life savers!

All around the room everyone was tense. Narumi was leaning against the wall, trying to pretend that he wasn't all that interested in the conversation, yet kept casting worried looks at the group. Kimizuki and Yoichi were quietly conversing in the corner. Mitsuba was having a silent argument with Shinoa which consisted of stern looks and rude hand gestures. All were worried about what news Mika would bring back, since he had left to check up on Yuu.

The door burst open and suddenly the room was silent. Mika walked in, his shoulders stiff and his eyes narrowed dangerously.

"It's still possessing him." He spat, sitting down slightly apart from the group.

"We need a plan." Kimizuki spoke up. "His demon is possessing him for longer periods of time each day and we have no way of stopping it."

"Don't you humans have some sort of backup plan in case something like this happens?" Mika practically growled.

"These sort of problems would usually be brought straight to the higher ups of the army. None of us have a high enough clearance to even know this sort of thing existed." Mitsuba sighed.

"As if that's our only problem. We've split from the army already, we're traitors. We need to find a solution ourselves." Narumi said quietly.

Shinoa sat quietly through out it all, back stiff and a contemplative look on her face.

"But we have to save Yuu somehow!" Yoichi yelled. "He's our family, we don't leave family behind. Not ever." He looked down at his lap, his hands clasped tightly. "When i was possessed by my own demon, Yuu never gave up on me. He threw away his sword and refused to kill me, even when i was about to shoot him. Now, it's my turn to save him. Our turn."

The majority of those in the room were shocked by his assertive speech. He seemed so much more sure of himself just then. Suddenly, Shinoa stood up from her seat and looked to everyone.

"It's his demon which is the problem, correct?"

"Yes, what's your point?" Narumi questioned, confused.

"We go to his demon, and we find out the reason that they're doing this." She stated firmly.

Everyone stared at her as if she were crazy. She honestly couldn't blame them though. The connection, the bond between a human and their demon was both a gift and a curse. It was also very intimate and private. To use another soldier's weapon was forbidden. To use another person's demon? To interact with it? They didn't even know if it was possible, but it was definately both and invasion of privacy and completely unheard of. And wrong.

"I absolutely refuse to go anywhere near his demon." Kimizuki said immidiately.

"Um, well maybe we should? I mean it's not as if we have much of a choice, we're running out of options." Yoichi said hesitantly.

"Why shouldn't we go to his demon? It sounds like a reasonable idea." Mika said.

"Theproblem"Mitsuba hissed, obviously extremely pissed off at Shinoa. "Is that the bond between a human and their demon partner is both cherished and extremely personal. To speak with someone else's demon, to go into their shared mindscape, is like stripping a person bare and exposing their very being." She said. She rounded on Shinoa. "I will have no part in this."

"I think this is the best chance we have at stopping the possessions." Narumi said. He may not of known these kids for very long, but he had already grown attached and it pained him to see the usually unbreakable Yuu like this.

"I cannot stand by and watch as Yuu slowly slips away like this. Within only two years, he won't even be with us anymore." Her voice wavered at her last few words, as she gained everyones undivided attention. "We are team mates, and so this will be a team decisions. We'll put it to a vote. If we decide no, we will find another way. If it's yes, weallparticipate. It will be a team effort and we don't leave anyone behind."

Everyone was silent as they digested her words.

"I say we do it." Said Yoichi. "We've been through a lot together, and i won't leave Yuu behind here."

"Fuck no, it's his life and his demon, i say we find another way." Was Kimizuki's answer.

"I won't invade his privacy like that. No one deserves that. We can find another way." Said Mitsuba.

"Well, i say it's the best idea we have at the moments, i say we do it. However, if you do go into their shared mindscape, i think it would be better for me to gaurd you whilst you are all unconcious. I wouldn't feel comfortable going into the kid's mind anyway, we've only just gotten on friendly terms." Narumi admitted.

Shinoa nodded. She could accept his reasoning. "Well seeing as i was the one to suggest the idea, i obviously approve. How about you Mikaela?"

Mika looked up in surprise. He honestly didn't expect them to include him in this.

"Yuu will be very angry once he finds out..." Mika started hesitantly. "But i think he would understand why we did what we did. I say we do it."

Shinoa sighed in relief. She honestly hadn't known what Mika would say, and as Yuu's longest time friend and family, his opinion was invaluable. The only thing left to do now was to actually make contact with Yuu's demon.

"Right" She said, taking charge of the situation despite her nervousness. "Let's start making preperations!"

Shinoa, Kimizuko, Yoichi, Mitsuba and Mika all stood at the outside of a freshly drawn pentagram on the floor, with Yuu and his cursed sword at the centre.

"So how does this work?" Mika asked the group.

"We all stand with equal spacing apart and draw our cursed weapons." Shinoa began. "Thanks to this red line which connects all our weapons, including yours Mika, we should all be able to enter his shared mindscape with his demon and be able to communicate with it."

"Are we really doing this?" Asked Kimizuki.

"We have to, there arn't any other options right now" Mitsuba answered grudgingly.

"Alright team, draw your weapons and call your demons! We need to make the connection!" Shinoa yelled.

"SHI"

"KISEKIO"

"GEKOINE"

"TENJIRYU"

"Sword, drink my blood" Mika finnished calmly.

Suddenly, it was like a great fod had been placed over their eyes. They couldn't seem to keep their eyes open. One by one, they all fell to the ground and passed out.

When they woke up, everything was white and misty. They had entered the mindscape.

"Ugh, did we do it?" Groaned Kimizuki, getting up from where he had been lying on the floor.

"Yes, we did it. This is Yuu's and his demon's shared mindscape." Replied Mitsuba.

"What do we do now? Do we call out to it?" Mika asked.

"No." Shinoa immidiately replied. "Anything can happen here, and the one controlling this place is Yuu's demon. If we upset it in any way, we could be stuck here forever, caught in a maze of memories and hulutionations."

That was apparently the wrong thing to say, as it made everyone extremely nervous.

"Well what do we have here?"a purring voice asked. Immidately, everyone formed a tight circle, looking everywhere for the owner of the voice. The demon.

"Ah, i recognise you lot now."Suddenly,boy with incredibly long purple hair and a white dress stood in front of the group. Red eyes narrowed at them curiously.

"But why would you be here? In my shared mindscape with my human?"The demon tilted it's head curiosly, as if trying to solve a puzzle. Shinio decided to hurry along before the demond decided to kill them.

"We need your help-"

"Asuramaru"

"Asuramaru" She said hesitantly.

"We need to know why you keep possessing Yuuichiro." Mitsuba said bravely.

"Oh? And why should i tell you humans?"

"Because if Yuu dies, you lose both your food source and your contract, correct?" Mika said coldly.

"Hmm, i think i prefer Yuu to you lot. Yuu is a lot nicer to me."Asuramaru glared at them.

"Please Asuramaru, we just want to help Yuu. You want the same, right?" Yoichi asked shakily, more than a bit intimidated.

Things were silent for a long time as the demon contemplated their words. If he was honest, yes he did want Yuu back to normal. He had said he would be his friend, and he needed to keep his word.

"Possessing Yuu is necissary in order to keep the angel at bay. It's too strong for me alone and so i require strength from my human."He admitted carefully, not completely at ease with these humans and one vampire.

"The angel?" Questioned Kimizuki.

"It is constantly fighting for control. Since i gain power from emotions, i've been making Yuu live through his memories."Asuramaru said.

"You've been making him dowhat?!"Mika hissed in outrage.

"It was my only option left. There was no other way. Yuu is my human, and he promised he would be my friend. I will not let anyone else have his body but me. He is MINE."Asuramaru growled back.

"Is there anything we can do?" Shinoa asked quickly, trying to stop the fight from escalating.

Asuramaru seemed to pause."I suppose..."

"What is it?" Mika asked quickly.

"How much do you really know of Yuu?"

"What?"

"Yuu has many different kinds of memories. Happy, sad, agony."He began, making the group worried."However, i cannot access certain memories which i should have access. Memories before he came to the orphanage."

"Orphanage?" Kimizuki muttered to himself.

"What are you getting at?" Mitsuba asked warily.

"I need those memories."He said bluntly."I need to know what those humans did to him. I need you to watch his memories, sift through them. The hidden ones will be deep and hard to find. You will likely have to start at more recent memories first, like when he came to the orphanage or when he joined the army."Asuramaru explained.

"You couldn't send us to a specific memory?" Mitsuba questioned.

"It doesn't work like that I'm afraid. His life will play out like a movie, of sorts. I won't be deciding what order of memories in which you see, for that is up to Yuu's subconcious mind to decide. I warn you, Yuu will not appreciate what you humans are doing. He is a very private being. Are you really willing to risk what relatonships you have with him?"He mused, giving a very pointed look to both Mika and Shinoa.

What Asuramaru said made them quite uncomfortable. They knew that Yuu wouldn't want them to do this. He was a very private person, and they had always been patient with him.

However, they worried that the way things were going, they wouldn't have a friend left after this. They needed to know. They had to do this.

What secrets were hidden within Yuu's mind?

Why could his demon, who had access to Yuu's mind and memories, not see past his barriers?

Surprisingly, it was Kimizuki who spoke first.

"We'll do it. We're here now, so we might as well get this over with. I would take Yuu never being able to forgive me over him being dead." He said quietly

"I agree." Said Mika. "Me and Yuu know each other better than anyone. Without Yuu, i would lose my connection to my hummanity. He is my reason for living."

"I won't give up on my friend." Yoichi said firmly.

"We decided this as a team, so we leave as a team. That includes idiot Yuu." Mitsuba said fondly.

"Well then, demon, it's been decided." Shinoa looked unflinchingly in to the demon's crimson eyes. "We will watch his memories. Hold nothing back. If we do this, we do it all the way. We will save our team mate."

"Hmm. Very well, human, i see your conviction. Be careful of what you see, some memories are distressing. Some memories i can barely even get emotions from, and they are filled with agony and terror. Those are the memories i need. You will find them as he himself remembers. Flashbacks, dreams, echos. I cannot view them as i am blocked. You just may be able to, as he subconciously trusts you more than I."He seemed to glare at them as he spoke. Some unknown emotion dripping from his words.

Suddenly, he spun away from them and raised his hands to the clouded sky, where they could see a winged figure coming closer, a bright golden trumpet clasped in their hands.

"Go, humans and vampire, I shall hold off the angel."He turned to them, and to their alarm, they saw tears in his eyes.

"Bring back my Yuu to me. He is most precious, a friend who taught me to feel, and to begin to remember."

With that, the demon took flight. A long black and green katana clasped in his long clawed hands, prepared to fight an angel.

Before they could question his worlds, they were enveloped in darkness. Their last thoughts were of the first demon they had ever seen express emotion other then greed.
