Closing Up Shop - Moving to New Berk (HTTYD and MIRACULOUS Farewell FanFic)
A quick tale to translate that I'm closing down my Fanfic page and moving to an all in one Personalised Website using my two most popular fandoms to tell the news!
"Come on Ladybug the shop's closing! We're going to miss it!"
Cat noir eagerly bounded over the roof tops ahead of her, towards the Bakery that was having a massive Closing down event.
Ladybug sighed. After working all night and day to help her parents, then fighting an akuma she was exhausted and a little annoyed at her clearly enthusiastic partner.
It wasn't like she didn't know that the Dupain-Cheng bakery was closing down and relocating to a bigger and better restaurant store she lived there! She couldn't miss the fact!
After an influx of funds and such prosperous cliental they were closing down the store and its multiple catering avenues to an all in one location unintentionally closer to Adrien's manor house!
That thought gave a renewed kick to her energy levels. She repressed her usual giggles of glee and leaped higher and further across Paris' rooftops to catch up with Cat Noir.
She's be able to see Adrien more so than ever! Then again, she thought, how was she going to ever concentrate with the boy of her dreams just a few feet away every day!
The possibilities to embarrass herself, be more ignored, get more hurt was infinite and beyond more than probable but then again what was life if one never moved forward on to better and brighter things? Where would any of them be had they never taken a chance. She'd trusted Tikki and become Ladybug, she'd trusted Master Fu and was now the Guardian of all Kwamis, she trusted her parents and she'd been given the greatest chance at a precious childhood. Sure she'd trusted many that had broken her heart and that hadn't worked out…the whole incident with Cat Noir being akumatized came to mind. Many things were a matter of chance, actions inspired by emotions, hope or love.
She was willing to take that chance.
The chance for things to be better. To shake off the stagnant chains of ideas that died long ago.
Ladybug didn't know that thousands of years before now and many miles to the west of where she lived there was another young hopeful Gang stepping out into the unknown, fleeing the devils of the bad and striking out for the hope of a greater future ahead.
"Augh! I'm bored!"
Snotlout groaned tossing his head to the side and nearly losing his helmet into the vast blue ocean thousands of feet below.
Soring high above the clouds on their dragons he grumbled and moaned to the rolled eyes and shrugs of his fellow villagers.
"Quit, whining Wippersnapper!" Gobber chastised after the tenth time Snotlout had complained.
"Where are we going? How far is it to go anyway…to whatever it is we are …going…." Tuff blundered on rather forgetting what he was even saying in the middle of saying it. Not that the friends around him were not use to his dramatic, long winded and sometimes funny way of talking. Like Snotlout they mostly shrugged it off.
"I'll let you know when we get there, Snotlout!" Hiccup Haddock the leader remarked, looking once more through the device he'd made that allowed him to spot land far away.
He had to admit with the others, that he was tied. Toothless has been somber since the Light fury had last been seen. It was clear that his Night Fury Dragon was smitten with the vibrant white dragon creature.
The fear of the war behind them, the uncertainty of what lay ahead, the exhaustion the long journey they'd been on to get this far had all began to weigh upon them all.
"So….do you think anyone will notice if I happen to stretch out my arms and knock Snotlout to his death by …'Accident'… do you think anyone will notice?"
Astrid asked in a whisper as she glided up to Hiccup on her spiky feisty loyal dragon Stormfly. The Deadly Nadder Toothless had seemed to have lost all interest in after meeting the Light fury.
Hiccup laughed.
"Yes, I think his parents might notice."
"What ya saying las?" Spitlout called from a few feet behind them, actually flying in-between her and his son just in case.
"i….um…" Astrid smiled at her true love Hiccup.
"Hey, I said they'd always be a Hiccup and Astrid, and it's true I asked you to marry me – more than once –"
Astrid glared at him.
" – but if you do kill Snotlout out of frustration I'm thinking… nope. You're on your own."
He teased. Although it only earnt him a loving – all be it painful – thump in the shoulder.
"Hey! I see land ahead!"
Hiccup called out. Diverting the banter to the task ahead.
Hopeful that they'd find the Hidden World and be able to RE-Build New Berk.
A Place were all ideas and creations could prosper and gain the attention and safety that they deserve.
There was no certainty in the Viking world.
However amongst the Berkian's there was HOPE.
